I am the Clone of a Death Row Inmate

Chapter 746 - 398: Ownerless Super Star

He finally had a lead on the Super Star that had been giving him such a headache, all thanks to reviving Mage.

He was tempted to change his plans immediately and go find that Super Star.

An unclaimed Super Star... its value was simply too immense to calculate!

It was a resource that would entice even a Dominator Race!

And it was especially crucial for Zexing at this moment.

The cultivation of the Hundred-Change Flower, as well as the research and application of its chlorophyll, all required Super Star Energy.

If they could possess their own Super Star, it would be like giving Zexing a pair of wings for its development, allowing it to soar!

Su Ze wished he could rush to the Super Star’s location immediately. He was terrified that he would be a step too late and someone else would beat him to it.

However, he quickly came to his senses. What could he even do if he went there now?

’Build a fence around the Super Star and declare it mine?’

’Or stuff it in my pocket and bring it home?’

At best, all he could do was collect some of its energy.

It would be just like Mage back then; when he found the Super Star, all he could do was collect some of its energy and nothing more.

They weren’t a Dominator Race or a top-tier Strong Race that could just declare the Super Star their property, dispatch an army to blockade the area, and prohibit anyone from approaching.

’I have to figure out a way to claim that Super Star for myself,’ he thought, tapping his forehead.

That was a Super Star, far larger than any ordinary star!

The storage artifacts he possessed could hold an entire planet, but they couldn’t possibly contain a star, let alone a Super Star.

His current Rank 8 "Meteor Impact" skill could only compress planets. Even if he upgraded it to Rank 9, he wasn’t confident it could compress a Super Star.

Besides, compression would alter the star’s internal structure. It was impossible to say if that would destabilize the Super Star or affect the future use of its energy.

Su Ze immediately called the Pope in to join him and Mage. The three of them began discussing a plan.

"Realistically, with the Human Race’s current power, we can’t possibly defend the Super Star by force," the Pope said. "The only way is to find a spatial artifact large enough to store it. That way, no one else will discover it, and we can use it in secret."

"Do spatial artifacts that large even exist?" Su Ze asked doubtfully.

The largest spatial artifacts he’d ever seen were the ones they had recently stolen from the Beast Race’s shop on Mengxing.

Mage thought back for a moment. "They exist," he said, "but they’re incredibly rare. You’d probably only be able to buy one in a Public Star Realm. And the price is terrifying—it’s the kind of resource I couldn’t have afforded even if I’d sold everything I owned. Otherwise, I might have tried to claim that Super Star for myself back then."

"The price of spatial artifacts increases exponentially with their capacity. An artifact that can hold a Super Star wouldn’t cost any less than an Ancestral Divine Artifact!"

An Ancestral Divine Artifact, as the name suggests, is an Ancestral God-level Divine Artifact—in other words, a Rank 10 Divine Artifact.

Su Ze calculated the money and resources he had on hand based on what he knew about the price of Ancestral Divine Artifacts. He discovered it wasn’t nearly enough. Not even close.

But the Super Star was too important. He had to get it, even if it meant selling everything he owned and going completely broke.

’The resources we have on hand now, even if we include all the Rank 9 Divine Artifacts and all our spaceships, even the Sun God-level Spaceship Hero, would only be enough to buy half an Ancestral Divine Artifact.’

The Magic Cube was their primary transport, so naturally, it couldn’t be sold.

And that was only because they had struck it rich on Mengxing. Their haul had been substantial—three Planet-level Spatial Artifacts alone, plus a large number of other Divine Artifacts. Otherwise, they probably couldn’t even afford thirty percent of the cost.

The one variable, however, was that he hadn’t factored in the value of two particular Rank 9 Divine Artifacts: the Dimension Ring and the Metalization Belt.

Those two Divine Artifacts could be sold at a premium, but their final sale price was still uncertain.

But even if those two artifacts sold for a good price, it still felt like a long shot. Getting enough to cover half the cost of an Ancestral Divine Artifact seemed incredibly difficult.

’It looks like we can’t change our original plan. To claim the Super Star, we need a spatial artifact that can hold it. And to afford that artifact, we have to auction off the Bloodline Divine Artifacts. That’s the only way we might raise enough money.’

’So, we’ll stick to the original plan: head to the Spirit Race Public Star Realm and auction the two Bloodline Divine Artifacts. We also can’t forget to hunt down some pirates along the way to raise more money for the spatial artifact.’

’Of course, we also have to consider: what if that Super Star has already been claimed? Wouldn’t all our efforts be for nothing? We have to confirm that the Super Star is still unclaimed.’

Having cleared his thoughts, Su Ze made an immediate decision: they would split into two groups.

One group would proceed to the Spirit Race Public Star Realm as planned, while the other would go to confirm the status of the Super Star.
