I am the Clone of a Death Row Inmate

Chapter 734 - 395: A Good Start (Part 2)

Mr. Ya was completely unfazed. In the next instant, his figure vanished, replaced by a shadow.

He had swapped places with his Shadow Clone.

When Mr. Ya entered the shop, the Shadow Clone he’d left outside had immediately snuck back to the spaceship.

So when he swapped places, he instantly appeared inside the spaceship, where Lin Hua, the Pope, and the others were gathered around him.

After receiving Su Ze’s telepathic instructions, the Pope had immediately left the shop, found Mr. Ya, and relayed Su Ze’s plan to him.

Afterward, he and Lin Hua had returned directly to the spaceship to wait for Mr. Ya.

Everyone except Su Ze was now on board. The spaceship took off at once, leaving Mengxing behind.

After leaving the vicinity of Mengxing, everyone breathed a sigh of relief. Mr. Ya’s heart, however, was still pounding wildly—not from nervousness, but from excitement. He had stolen so many incredible things!

"By the way, hasn’t the Boss come back yet?" he asked quickly, pushing the joy of his harvest to the back of his mind.

At his question, everyone’s gaze shifted to Dou Yi, who stood there as motionless as a pillar, his eyes completely vacant.

The Pope said, "Master said that if he encountered danger, he would use the Replacement Skill to swap places with Dou Yi. Since he hasn’t done it yet, he must not be in any immediate danger."

Su Ze had been unsure of the strength of Mr. Fox’s accomplices, so the escape plan he’d prepared was to use the Replacement Skill to swap places with Dou Yi.

His Replacement Skill allowed him to swap places with his Flesh Statues, as well as any life form under his Blood and Flesh Parasite.

In fact, there was a Dou Race Star God on Zexing also controlled by a Blood and Flesh Parasite, which would have been a better choice than Dou Yi. However, swapping with it would have sent Su Ze directly back to Zexing.

To save time, he planned to swap Dou Yi out to take the fall for him if he ran into danger.

After all, among the Moon Gods on the ship controlled by his Blood and Flesh Parasite, only Dou Yi was unconscious, making him the least valuable.

"Should we circle Mengxing and try to find him? If they’re fighting, it should be somewhere around here," Old Waller asked.

"Don’t bother!" Mr. Ya shook his head. "If the Boss is facing an enemy even he can’t handle, we’d just get in the way and be a burden. We need to keep our distance. That way, when the Boss uses the Replacement Skill to return to the spaceship, we’ll be able to make an immediate getaway."

Going back to find Su Ze would render the Replacement Skill’s escape function useless—a truly foolish move.

So, the group didn’t go looking for Su Ze. They flew the spaceship far from Mengxing and then transferred to the Magic Cube nearby.

This way, as soon as Su Ze returned, the Magic Cube could immediately flee at full speed.

...

The four Moon Gods surrounding Su Ze were all powerhouses from the Beast Race, but they weren’t all from the Fox Race.

The Beast Race was a rather unique Intelligent Race. Despite being a single race, it was composed of many different branches.

The royal family of the Beast Race was currently the Tiger Race, though the Lion Race, Elephant Race, and others had occasionally held the title. The innate abilities of the different branches varied greatly, as did their combat strength.

With powerful royal families like the Lion and Tiger Races, their combat strength was on par with a true first-rate race.

Then there were mid-tier branches like the Fox Race and Wolf Race, whose combat strength was only equivalent to that of a second-rate race.

There were even weaker branches, like the Sheep Race and Rabbit Race, whose combat strength was merely equivalent to a third-rate race.

Among the four Beast Race Moon Gods surrounding Su Ze, only two—including Mr. Fox himself—were from the Fox Race. The remaining two were from the Wolf Race and the Ape Race.

Of the four, the Ape Race Moon God had the strongest aura; after all, the Ape Race had also briefly served as the royal family of the Beast Race in the past.

Su Ze, completely surrounded, was not the least bit panicked. In fact, he was even a little excited. ’Finally, I can get a taste of a first-rate race!’

Until now, he had only ever plundered third- and fourth-rate races like the Dou Race and the Bag Race. His enemies had always been powerhouses from these weaker peoples, leaving him unsure how his own strength actually stacked up against someone of the same rank from a Strong Race.

The Beast Race was a true first-rate race. And while Mr. Fox and these others seemed a bit underwhelming, the one from the Ape Race should possess the genuine combat strength of that tier.

"Kill!"

Seeing that Su Ze had no intention of surrendering, the Ape Race Moon God gave the order, and all four charged at him.

The battle erupted in an instant.

The four Beast Race Moon Gods had assumed that dealing with a single Moon God from the Bag Race would be over in the blink of an eye. After all, the Bag Race was notoriously weak; how could one of them possibly stand against the Beast Race?

Especially when it was four against one.

They never expected that it would, in fact, be over in the blink of an eye. In that instant, Su Ze had already chopped the Wolf Race Moon God into mincemeat.

Su Ze activated his ninth-rank Divine Artifact, the Metalization Belt, and combined it with his "Spongy Body" skill. For a short time, he could absorb both physical and energy attacks, rendering him nearly invincible.

He tanked all four of their attacks, first launching a sneak attack on the Wolf Race Moon God with the Shadowless Needle. Seizing the moment of distraction caused by the pain, he used the Spatial Slash from his Dimension Ring in concert with the greatsword manifested from his weapon seed, dicing the Wolf Race Moon God to bits.

He then swiftly plundered its Origin Gene and used his "Bloodthirsty" skill to devour its flesh and blood for energy.

The other three were aghast. When had the Bag Race ever produced such a ferocious warrior?

"Something’s wrong! You’re not from the Bag Race!" the Ape Race Moon God shouted.

Su Ze couldn’t be bothered to answer him. Seizing the moment before his metalized body and "Spongy Body" ability reached their saturation point, he raised his blade to kill again.

A moment later, the two Fox Race Moon Gods had also fallen at his hands.

Even at the moment of his death, Mr. Fox couldn’t believe he was dying here, in a battle he had considered a sure victory.

He had been so cautious, even calling three companions to deal with a single member of the Bag Race. But he had never expected...
