I am the Clone of a Death Row Inmate
Chapter 733 - 395: A Good Start
Su Ze and the shopkeeper left Mengxing, with no one following either of them.
Old Waller and the others had received Su Ze’s orders long ago and were waiting inside the spaceship, instructed not to make a move.
The few members of the Illusion Race in charge of security saw Su Ze leaving Mengxing with the Fox Race shopkeeper and watched as if a show was about to start.
"This member of the Bag Race has some nerve, daring to conduct a transaction outside Mengxing."
"Who falls for this kind of trick these days? What an idiot."
"Haha, it’s been a while since Mr. Fox made a score. He finally found someone willing to walk right into his trap."
"He probably got the short end of the stick and couldn’t bear to lose the money. And now look, he’s about to lose his life too!"
Su Ze didn’t hear their discussion, and even if he had, he wouldn’t have cared. He was, of course, well aware of the dangers involved and had made preparations.
Besides, if he was going to take a risk, the reward had to be proportional. ’If all goes according to plan, Mr. Ya should be making his move right now.’
"Where are we making this trade?" Su Ze asked casually.
"We definitely have to leave Mengxing’s alert zone. Otherwise, if I take out something as big as the Giant Beast’s Claw, the Mengxing guards might think we’re attacking the planet. That would be a problem," Mr. Fox said as if it were obvious.
"Fine." Su Ze didn’t say more, simply following Mr. Fox beyond Mengxing’s alert zone.
"Let’s do the trade here," Mr. Fox said, suddenly stopping.
Then, the Space Display Cabinet appeared in his hand. He reached out, opened its door, and the Giant Beast’s Claw flew out.
The moment it left the spatial item, the Giant Beast’s Claw returned to its original size. It was truly as large as a planet; on this point, at least, Mr. Fox hadn’t lied.
As soon as the Giant Beast’s Claw appeared, it came crashing down toward Su Ze.
Su Ze executed several consecutive Space Jumps to dodge it... although even if it had hit him, it wouldn’t have caused any real damage.
"What is the meaning of this?" Su Ze asked coldly.
Mr. Fox apologized with his words, but his expression showed no remorse. "My apologies. This Giant Beast’s Claw is too big, I lost control for a moment. The merchandise has been delivered. Please, help yourself."
After speaking, he crossed his arms and waited, ready to watch Su Ze make a fool of himself.
He didn’t believe Su Ze had any way to collect the Giant Beast’s Claw.
’If he really had a way to take it, why would he have needed to come out to space to trade? He could have just completed the deal in the shop, right?’
But what happened next made Mr. Fox’s eyes widen in shock.
Su Ze simply extended a hand and reached toward the Giant Beast’s Claw.
The planet-sized claw immediately began to shrink rapidly, eventually compressing into a fist-sized sphere that Su Ze absorbed into his body.
’What kind of skill is that?!’
Mr. Fox could tell that Su Ze hadn’t relied on a Divine Artifact or a spatial item, but on a skill he had mastered himself.
This was actually accomplished using the eighth-tier skill "Meteor Impact," which could compress a planet and store it within one’s body.
The Giant Beast’s Claw was the size of a planet, making it a perfect target for compression with Meteor Impact.
However, this kind of compression exerted immense pressure on the object, destroying its internal structure and making it impossible to restore to its original form.
But Su Ze didn’t care. The Giant Beast’s Claw was just an upgrade material for him to absorb. He only needed its energy. After he used it up, he’d toss it, so it didn’t matter what happened to its internal structure.
The current version of Meteor Impact was a weakened version of an Ancestral God-level skill, and the effect it displayed was more than enough to shock Mr. Fox.
Just as Mr. Fox had suspected, Su Ze could have indeed collected the Giant Beast’s Claw back in the shop. Yet he had still played along and come out to space for the trade.
’Someone sets a trap for him, schemes against him, and he just easily foils it and pretends like nothing happened? Forget about it?’
’That wasn’t his style.’
’You scheme against me, so of course, I’ll scheme right back at you.’
Although Mr. Fox didn’t know what Su Ze was thinking, he knew that since Su Ze could clearly collect the Giant Beast’s Claw yet still followed him into space, he must have some other motive.
At the very least, he knew Su Ze was confident—confident that he wouldn’t die here.
Just then, three figures sped in from three different directions. Together with Mr. Fox, they perfectly sealed off all four directions around Su Ze.
Mr. Fox finally dropped the act. A cruel smile spread across his vulpine face. "I don’t know what you’re planning, but I’d advise you to surrender without a fight. If I’m feeling soft-hearted, I might even let you live."
Su Ze glanced at the four people surrounding him and laughed. "Four Moon Gods. With just this much power, you dare to rob me? How dare you?
"And here I was, actually preparing an escape route..."
...
「On Mengxing.」
Not long after Su Ze and Mr. Fox had left the shop, Mr. Ya arrived at a deserted blind spot behind the building.
He left a Shadow Clone in his place, and his real body vanished into thin air.
The Shadow Clone he left behind immediately burrowed into the ground and disappeared.
When Mr. Ya reappeared, he was already inside Mr. Fox’s shop.
Mr. Fox had closed the shop door when he left. Every shop on Mengxing, from its doors to its walls, was specially treated with anti-theft measures capable of blocking most types of spatial infiltration skills.
However, this was clearly not enough to stop Mr. Ya’s "Void" skill.
Once inside, Mr. Ya moved like lightning, sweeping through every corner of the shop.
He didn’t miss a single item, stuffing all the merchandise and anything of value into his spatial item.
As for the various Divine Artifacts and precious materials on the display shelves, Mr. Ya took what he could and, for what he couldn’t, he took the entire shelf.
In the blink of an eye, he had cleaned the entire shop out.
But this also triggered the shop’s anti-theft alarm. Sirens blared, and the Mengxing Order Maintenance Department received the alert, rushing to the location of the robbery.
