I am the Clone of a Death Row Inmate
Chapter 726 - 392: People from Blue Star 3
"However, this chlorophyll is also a consumable. It’s used up after a period of photosynthesis and needs to be replenished.
"As for its effectiveness... it really depends on the light source being absorbed. Conditions are limited on Zexing, so the effects from just natural sunlight are average, of course."
Su Ze thought of the Super Star light energy Liou Wenxin had asked him to collect. "Would the effects be much better with the light energy from a Super Star?" he asked.
"You can try it and see," Liou Wenxin said, taking out a small vial and placing it in Su Ze’s hand.
Su Ze scanned it with his Spiritual Power and saw several emerald-green capsules inside the vial.
He was very interested in this, especially after learning it could speed up the digestion of Evolutionary Material.
His Sands of Time were already depleted. New ones generated very slowly, and they would inevitably run out eventually.
’If this chlorophyll works well, it might be a viable substitute for the Sands of Time.’
"Alright, I’ll let you get to it. Lin Hua and the others are waiting to see you." Liou Wenxin waved goodbye and left, leaving a cup of milk tea for Su Ze.
Su Ze wasn’t a fan of the drink, but after more than a year in seclusion, his mouth felt a little bland. He poked a straw in, took a sip, and gestured for Lin Hua and Old Waller to enter.
The two walked into Su Ze’s office. He sensed their auras for a moment and noted they had grown significantly stronger; it seemed their power had improved a great deal.
However, they still had a long way to go before reaching the Moon God level.
Others weren’t like him; they didn’t have access to all sorts of priceless, top-tier resources. Their progress couldn’t possibly be as fast.
Normally, it took hundreds or even thousands of years to evolve from a Star God to a Moon God. To evolve quickly, one had to constantly kill, plunder, and use all sorts of expensive resources.
Lin Hua and his group had enough resources now, but becoming Moon Gods would still take time. It was unlikely Zexing would produce a second Moon God from the Human Race anytime soon.
"Lin Hua, did you need me for something?" Su Ze asked, getting straight to the point.
Lin Hua and Old Waller exchanged a look before Lin Hua spoke up. "Star Lord, before you went into seclusion, you instructed us to go to various Public Planets in batches to sell off the spoils of war. We did as you instructed, but the quantity and value of the loot were so immense that our frequent visits have inevitably attracted some attention."
"You’re being watched? Is someone making a move on you?" Su Ze asked with a frown.
"Not exactly. It’s just that our frequent appearances and large-scale resource trades have drawn their attention. We’ve sold countless Star God-level Spaceships, not to mention all sorts of other resources we have no use for. This has led the major merchant guilds on several nearby Public Planets to take notice. They’ve invited us to be their guests, hoping to establish long-term partnerships.
"Old Waller and I couldn’t refuse them all, so we met with the managers of a few guilds. They were very probing in their conversations, constantly trying to figure out our origins.
"We managed to deflect their questions and told them we needed to consult our superiors about any partnerships. That put them off for the time being. After that, though, the two of us stopped visiting those Public Planets, fearing we might attract unnecessary trouble."
Su Ze took a sip of his milk tea and nodded. "You did the right thing."
Establishing partnerships with the major nearby merchant guilds would be a good thing, of course, but Zexing currently lacks the strength to back it up.
When those guilds find a major client, of course they’ll try to curry favor and establish a long-term partnership. But what happens when they discover that this major client is just a fat sheep—weak, with no powerful faction to back them up?
At that point, a good opportunity would likely turn into a disaster.
Given the circumstances, it’s better to keep our distance from those large guilds and avoid too much contact.
"The only problem is, we still have a lot of resources we haven’t been able to sell off, and several ships that still need repairs," Old Waller said with a sigh of resignation.
"That’s not a problem. I happen to be planning a long trip, so I can just sell off those resources along the way. As for the ship repairs, I’ll take care of it myself."
Before his seclusion, Su Ze had told them not to repair the two Sun God-level Spaceships as a precaution.
Therefore, neither the Magic Cube nor the Sun God-level Spaceship captured from Balona had been repaired yet.
Since Su Ze would definitely be using a Sun God-level Spaceship for this trip, he planned to get it repaired before setting out.
When they heard Su Ze was planning a long journey, both Lin Hua and Old Waller were thrilled. The two of them were eager to get out and see more of the universe, but they weren’t sure if Su Ze would leave them on Zexing to manage things.
Su Ze saw what they were thinking and said with a smile, "You two will come with me this time. We’ll leave things at home to Mr. Zhou."
The "Mr. Zhou" he mentioned was Zhou Wenshan.
Zhou Wenshan had been a principal for many years and had extensive management experience. Su Ze trusted him completely. Besides, he had struggled to become a Star God, which meant his potential was limited. He would likely never advance beyond the Star God level, so Su Ze didn’t plan on taking him.
The people he took with him needed to have the potential and talent to advance further on their evolutionary path. The killing and plundering along the way would accelerate their rate of evolution.
Hearing this, both men’s faces lit up with joy. They said their goodbyes to Su Ze and went to hand off their current duties.
Su Ze rested for a while, strolled around Zexing, and met up with many of his friends.
That evening, he had a simple, heartwarming dinner with Mr. Ya, Liou Wenxin, and Mrs. Yun. Afterward, he took the two damaged Sun God-level Spaceships with him, piloted a different Moon God-level Spaceship, and flew toward a nearby Public Planet.
He bypassed Thousand Illusion Star, as it was the planet most frequented by the people of Zexing. Su Ze himself had been there many times. To avoid being watched, he went out of his way, heading for a more distant Public Planet, Saturn.
Barely a day after Su Ze’s departure from Zexing, in a cordoned-off area of the planet’s underground base, stood a massive Teleportation Array.
Light suddenly flashed above the Teleportation Array as Spatial Energy fluctuated violently. A moment later, a figure materialized.
