I am the Clone of a Death Row Inmate
Chapter 724 - 392: People from Blue Star
It had to be said, Mu Wang had found his one true value.
If the Nian Race’s Sun God were to awaken, he might not cooperate with Su Ze, and he certainly wouldn’t be willing to submit to Su Ze’s control.
Mu Wang, on the other hand, was far more cooperative and easier to control.
However, choosing to cooperate with Mu Wang meant he would have to help him suppress, or even eliminate, the Sun God Consciousness, allowing Mu Wang to completely possess the Sun God’s soul.
This wouldn’t be too difficult for Su Ze. The universe’s resources were far more abundant than Blue Star’s. All sorts of poisons that could suppress a soul or destroy a consciousness were available for purchase. It was just a matter of spending a bit more money.
To exchange a bit of money for the combat power of a ninth-rank beast was well worth the price.
But there was no rush. Even if Su Ze helped Mu Wang possess the Sun God’s soul and found the body of a ninth-rank beast right now, he wouldn’t dare let Mu Wang use it to resurrect himself.
This was because he currently had no way of controlling a ninth-rank beast.
At the very least, he had to wait for the Pope to upgrade the "Blood and Flesh Parasite" skill to the eighth rank before it was even a possibility.
’The Pope is a Star God right now, so it’s entirely possible for him to master an eighth-rank skill. I’ll have him make upgrading the "Blood and Flesh Parasite" skill his top priority.’
His mind made up, Su Ze searched the base’s treasury. He found a few resources that could wear down a Consciousness Body and others that could strengthen one, then helped Mu Wang use them.
The resources for weakening a Consciousness Body were used against the Sun God Consciousness to prolong its slumber. Completely destroying it, however, would require more, or higher-level, resources.
Su Ze hadn’t intentionally collected such resources before, so he had no significant reserves. He decided he would keep an eye out for them in the future.
The resources for strengthening a Consciousness Body were naturally for Mu Wang. The man’s consciousness was so weak he was on the verge of collapse, so Su Ze had to give him a boost to keep him going.
Mu Wang was overjoyed to receive Su Ze’s help. He had finally been pulled back from the brink.
"For the time being, focus on strengthening your Consciousness Body. I’ll find some Soul Nourishing Medicine for you. When I finally make a move against the Sun God Consciousness, I don’t want to end up destroying you instead of it."
Mu Wang and the Sun God’s consciousnesses shared a single soul; they prospered and suffered as one. Even if Su Ze’s poison specifically targeted the Sun God Consciousness, Mu Wang’s own Consciousness Body would still sustain partial damage.
Finding a ninth-rank beast’s body for Mu Wang was another major headache.
In fact, Su Ze had an even stronger body on hand—the physical remains of Mr. Ao.
However, Mr. Ao was long dead. His body was completely devoid of vitality and retained no evolutionary power. It was merely a corpse, and one that had been drained of all its energy.
Besides, the Sun God’s remnant soul could, at best, inhabit the body of a being of the same rank. Mr. Ao’s standing was far too high.
If Mu Wang wanted to resurrect himself in a new body, he had to choose one that had just recently died, or simply perform a direct possession of a living ninth-rank beast or Sun God-level expert.
In his current state as a mere remnant soul, it was impossible for Mu Wang to possess a living Sun God or ninth-rank beast. His only option was to find a freshly killed corpse.
Besides, Su Ze was unwilling to let an outsider like Mu Wang run around wearing Mr. Ao’s body. That would be deeply disrespectful to the man.
’A poison capable of killing the Sun God’s remnant consciousness, a freshly killed ninth-rank beast or Sun God corpse, materials to upgrade the Pope’s "Blood and Flesh Parasite" skill, and the materials to upgrade several of my own skills...’
Su Ze suddenly realized he was lacking quite a few resources, and all of them were very high-level.
If he wanted to upgrade his remaining skills to the eighth rank, he would need eighth-rank resources at a minimum.
Zexing was located in a remote area, and even the nearest Public Planets were considered relatively quiet and undeveloped.
The variety of resources they sold was relatively narrow, and high-grade resources were even scarcer.
Therefore, for Su Ze to gather all the necessary evolution materials near Zexing, he might have to wait for who knows how many years.
As for buying the corpse of a freshly killed ninth-rank beast, that was completely out of the question.
’Looks like I’ll have to consider a long journey.’ He thought about it seriously and concluded that a trip was essential.
Since arriving on Zexing, he had only operated in the immediate vicinity and had never truly gone to see the more prosperous corners of the universe.
If Zexing was the countryside, then Public Planets like Thousand Illusion Star were equivalent to small shopping malls in a nearby town.
The Public Star Realms established by the five Dominator Races were the equivalent of the CBDs in a major metropolis.
Some of the resources he needed could only be guaranteed in a Public Star Realm. Anywhere else, he would just be trying his luck.
There was another reason he decided to embark on a long journey: he had to cure the master of the Mother Tree. The matter had been delayed for so long, it was time he dealt with it.
Su Ze was a Moon God now, so even if he managed to awaken the Mother Tree’s master, he wouldn’t need to worry about the other party harboring any ill intent.
That is, as long as he didn’t go to the Tree Spirit Race’s territory.
Therefore, Su Ze was more inclined to find a Sun God-level expert skilled in healing elsewhere, rather than risk an adventure on the Tree Spirit Race’s mother planet.
...
Only after emerging from his secluded cultivation did Su Ze realize he had been in isolation for over a year.
All told, they had now been on Zexing for two and a half years.
Every time he emerged from seclusion, Zexing had undergone a world-altering transformation.
This time was no different. The changes to Zexing gave Su Ze the strange illusion that he was back on Blue Star.
The first city of a considerable scale had now been established on Zexing. It was named "Zhecheng."
It was destined to become the heart of Zexing, the most developed and prosperous region on the entire planet.
Within Zhecheng was a dedicated residential area, filled entirely with beautiful villas. Each family had built their own, which made sense; after all, Zexing was vast, and its population was minuscule.
