Chapter 722 - 391: I’ll Obey

’I’m being unfairly blamed,’ Su Ze thought. ’Die is the one doing all this, so what does it have to do with me?’

’Still, it seems the trick is effective... I’ll have to make good use of this dream torture in the future, really develop it.’

"I’ve decided. I should give this punishment a name. How about ’Dream Punishment’?"

Su Ze asked for the Pope’s opinion.

The Pope wiped the cold sweat from his forehead and quickly replied, "An excellent name!"

"Master, he’s begging for mercy in his dream," Die reported.

Su Ze checked the time and chuckled. "Keep going. Don’t stop. It looks like his three companions haven’t had enough yet. They haven’t shown the slightest reaction."

As onlookers, the other three Dou Race Moon Gods were also pale-faced and drenched in cold sweat. But since the knife wasn’t at their own throats, none of them had any intention of surrendering.

After another moment, Die reported again, "Master, he’s started trying to kill himself in the dream."

He couldn’t stand the torture any longer and was trying to end his own life, but committing suicide in a dream was impossible.

This was the true horror of the Dream Punishment: being trapped in your worst nightmare, unable to wake up, with no control over your own body. Even suicide was impossible.

If he killed himself in the dream, he would only experience the pain of death over and over again, but he couldn’t truly die, nor could he end the nightmare. It would only add another layer of terror—the terror of death—to the already horrifying nightmare.

Su Ze finally nodded. "Alright, stop for now."

Die released him from the dream. The Dou Race Moon God immediately collapsed to the ground as if his spine had been removed. His body was still trembling uncontrollably, and his eyes were lifeless, like a dead man’s.

Su Ze removed the Protective Shield. The other three Dou Race Moon Gods had already stopped their cursing; or rather, they didn’t dare to curse anymore.

They weren’t afraid of death, but if someone could make them suffer a fate worse than death, they had to reconsider.

Su Ze walked up to the tortured member of the Dou Race and asked, "What’s your name?"

"My name is..."

"Never mind, don’t tell me. When you become my subordinate, I will give you a new name."

"I surrender," he said, his voice weak.

The Dream Punishment had truly worn away his spirit and sharp edges.

"Words alone aren’t enough. In a moment, I’m going to use a parasitic control skill on you. Do not resist. In fact, you must cooperate with all your might. If the parasite takes hold successfully, I will naturally trust you without reservation. But if you resist and cause the process to fail... well, I don’t need to spell out the consequences, do I?"

Su Ze made no secret of it, speaking openly in front of the other Dou Race Moon Gods to mentally prepare the remaining three.

The Dou Race Moon God seemed to remember the scene from his dream. Fear flashed through his emotionless eyes, and he even had the thought of quickly killing himself now that he wasn’t in the dream. But in the end, he sat up and nodded.

Su Ze had the Pope cast Blood and Flesh Parasite into the air once. Su Ze then mimicked the skill and used it on the Dou Race Moon God.

He separated a mass of his own liquid form, which slipped into the Dou Race Moon God’s body. The Moon God instantly shuddered, his body subconsciously starting to resist the foreign invasion.

But a low shout from Su Ze snapped him out of it. He immediately abandoned all resistance, allowing the liquid mass to invade and spread throughout his body like a spiderweb.

But taking over the body was just the beginning. The most crucial part was infesting the brain.

Using a seventh-tier Blood and Flesh Parasite Skill to infest a Moon God was no small feat.

When the liquid mass began to invade his brain, the Dou Race Moon God subconsciously resisted again. The brain is the most vital region for any intelligent lifeform; it would instinctively reject any foreign intrusion.

"Stop resisting!" Su Ze snarled, his voice echoing directly in the Dou Race Moon God’s soul.

The Dou Race Moon God hesitated for a moment. He could feel that once he gave up this line of defense, he would completely lose himself and become Su Ze’s loyal slave.

’At that point, I might still have my consciousness and memories, but would I still be me?’

’If I was still me, why would I be so devoted to serving an enemy?’

That single moment of hesitation cost them the optimal window. Infesting a higher-tier lifeform was already like dancing on a tightrope; the slightest misstep could lead to failure.

In the initial stages of infestation, when the liquid mass had just entered the target’s body and was still taking over the physical form, failure might have allowed for another attempt.

But now it had reached the most fragile region of the brain. There was no going back.

Retreating now and abandoning the infestation could scramble the target’s brain, jumble his memories, and turn him into a drooling imbecile.

The Dou Race Moon God also sensed the danger. Knowing he had no choice, he immediately abandoned resistance, allowing the liquid mass to surge unopposed into his brain, even affecting his soul.

But it was too late.

His moment of hesitation and resistance was like raising a sluice gate in a turbulent current. Giving up resistance now was like opening the floodgates.

The blocked current had built into a flood, accumulating immense pressure. In an instant, it washed away everything, including his consciousness and memories.

In the end, the infestation was complete...

However, the infested Dou Race Moon God had lost his own consciousness and memories, becoming a complete puppet—a Moon God-level marionette.

’This wasn’t what I wanted. Clearly, a Moon God who retained his memories and experience would have been far more valuable to me. With the control afforded by the Blood and Flesh Parasite, I don’t need to destroy their consciousness to ensure loyalty.’
