But that wasn’t the main point. To Lin Hua and the others’ surprise, pairing Hundred-Change Flowers with evolvers could produce an effect greater than the sum of their parts.

Liou Wenxin was attempting to categorize and cultivate these Hundred-Change Flowers. Some were purely for damage output, some were loaded with support skills, some specialized in defense, and some in healing...

Evolvers could choose a compatible Hundred-Change Flower based on their own traits, forming a partnership to fight together.

An evolver with strong damage output but average defense, for example, could partner with a defense-focused flower.

Someone like Mr. Ya, who lacked offensive power, could choose a Hundred-Change Flower with purely offensive skills.

Those with poor stamina could pick a healer-type to restore their health and energy.

This allowed many Star Gods who had just completed their seventh evolution to instantly gain immense combat power, enabling them to contend with even the stronger experts among their ranks.

In the six months Su Ze was in seclusion, Zexing had developed at a dizzying pace and changed immensely.

Several new Star Gods had emerged in that time alone.

Mrs. Yun, Zhou Wenshan, and the others had become Legend-rank experts. But this was where the gap in talent and potential showed—Zhang Tai had actually come from behind and broken through to become a Star God.

Li Yongguan had also surpassed his father to become a Star God.

Chen Suifeng’s apprentice, Wan Qizhi, had also become a Star God.

The two leaders from the Stu Family and the Wol Family had also entered the ranks of the Star Gods.

Many of the younger generation—such as Ye Jin, Gu Yue’er, and Lin Luo of the Lin Family—had even become Legend-rank experts, with the Star God realm well within their sights.

Despite Su Ze giving Mrs. Yun and Liou Wenxin all sorts of special training, one was still a Supreme and the other a Legend.

In truth, one could evolve quickly before ascending to godhood by relying on Zexing’s abundant low-tier resources. Once they became a Star God, however, their evolutionary pace would slow dramatically. It was impossible to advance as rapidly as they had during the Extraordinary and Saint Stages.

One only had to look at Lin Hua, Old Waller, and the others to understand. They had been Star Gods for several hundred years, yet the Moon God realm remained a distant, unattainable dream.

Only in the past year, after Su Ze had taken them out to hunt bandits a few times, had they seen a glimmer of hope for ascending to the Moon God realm.

Everyone who became a Star God found it difficult to increase their power in the short term. Furthermore, newly ascended Star Gods inevitably had low combat strength.

But now, with the Hundred-Change Flowers, they could immediately compensate for this deficiency in combat power.

As long as they were equipped with a suitable Hundred-Change Flower, a rookie who had just become a Star God could instantly possess the combat power of a veteran.

"Mr. Ya is testing the Hundred-Change Flower he just picked. Want to come with me and see how it works?" Lin Hua invited.

"Let’s go. We can all check it out together," Liou Wenxin readily agreed.

Just as they were about to head to the surface, a flash of light appeared behind them. A young man’s figure quietly materialized, and he smiled.

"What are you going to see? Take me with you."

"You brat, you’re out of seclusion!" Mrs. Yun exclaimed in delight.

Su Ze chuckled and teased, "Sun Xiayun, how are you not a god yet?"

Mrs. Yun’s face flushed, and she retorted in embarrassment, "I’ll be the next one to become a Star God, you’ll see!"

"Alright, I’ll be waiting." Su Ze then turned to Liou Wenxin. "You need to work hard too, Wenxin."

"I’m not in a hurry. Mrs. Yun hasn’t even become a god, so what’s the rush for me?" she replied with a rare, playful smile.

"Besides, you’re the one who told me I wasn’t needed on the battlefield. You said I should focus on my foundation and not rush to absorb any offensive Spiritual Power skills. I plan on waiting until I ascend to godhood before I absorb my first one."

There was a saying among Spiritual Power evolvers: the later they matured, the more powerful they would become.

Previously on Blue Star, however, evolvers could only hold out until the Overlord-rank at best before they were forced to absorb an offensive Spiritual Power skill.

Yet Liou Wenxin was already a Supreme, and she had only absorbed various auxiliary and research-oriented skills that enhanced her Spiritual Power. It looked like she truly intended to wait until she became a god before completing her build.

’I wonder how powerful a Spiritual Power evolver like that will be,’ Su Ze thought, his anticipation growing.

The group chatted idly as they flew toward the surface.

Along the way, Su Ze asked Lin Hua about Zexing’s overall situation over the past six months.

He was already aware of the increase in their people’s power; Zexing now had more than ten Star Gods.

The breakthrough with the Hundred-Change Flowers was also something he considered very important.

But his main concern was the movements of the Dou Race.

Before entering seclusion, he had instructed Mr. Ya to pilot the Magic Cube and regularly scout the Dou Race’s situation.

With the Magic Cube, Mr. Ya’s safety was guaranteed, even if he just flew a couple of laps around the planet where the Dou Race had settled.

Lin Hua replied, "Xiaoya takes us to check on the Dou Race every so often. Ever since we captured that group of them, they’ve clearly become more restrained. They aren’t raiding as wantonly as they were before."

Lin Hua was several hundred years older than Mr. Ya, so he felt it was awkward to call him "Mr. Ya" like everyone else did. Instead, he called him Xiaoya.

The Dou Race had lost four Moon Gods and a slew of Star Gods to Su Ze. Reportedly, they had also lost another Moon God in battle against someone else, leaving them with only ten.

After all, the universe was full of powerful experts. With their rampant highway robbery, it was only natural that they would eventually pick a fight they couldn’t win.

It could be because they had lost too many experts and their losses were too great, or perhaps they had plundered enough resources. In any case, the Dou Race had indeed been much more subdued over the last six months.

’The fifty thousand Dou Race members arrived as refugees, completely destitute. They would need a massive amount of resources in the early stages to settle down and establish themselves.’

It was a similar situation to Zexing. If not for the vast supplies left behind by Mr. Ao and the many evolutionary resources that could still be mined on the planet, Su Ze suspected he would have been poor enough to resort to raiding as well.

In any case, the Dou Race only went out to raid occasionally now. Most of the time, their many experts remained in their home base.

"Them all staying at their home base means we’ll face stronger resistance when we attack, but looking at it another way, it’s also a good thing. It’ll make it easier for us to wipe them all out in one go."

"Star Lord, you’re planning to..." Old Waller’s pupils constricted. He understood the meaning behind Su Ze’s words.

"That’s right. Make the preparations. We’re attacking the Dou Race Planet!"
