I am the Clone of a Death Row Inmate
Chapter 701 - 384: Attacking the Dou Race
After Die finished her "persuasion," the captured Dou Race experts confessed everything. They answered every question without reservation.
Furthermore, their stories all matched, proving the intelligence was reliable.
Su Ze questioned them not only about the current strength of their group but also about the great war between the Dou Race and the Holy Race.
If the Dou Race was known for their powerful bodies and skill in close-quarters combat, then the Holy Race was universally acknowledged as the race with the strongest physique in the cosmos.
Of the five Dominator Races in the universe, each had its own specialty. The Holy Race’s greatest strength was their physique.
This physical prowess referred mainly to their overall combat strength.
In terms of sheer durability, that title still belonged to the mineral-based Pan Race.
According to the Dou Race experts, their homeworld was destroyed by the Holy Race during the great war. Their Clan Leader was killed in action, and one of their Ancestral Gods perished alongside him. Only two Dou Race Ancestral Gods managed to escape ahead of time, taking the clan’s elites with them.
The rest of the Dou Race scattered, fleeing to different corners of the universe to avoid being annihilated by the Holy Race all at once.
The group of Dou Race near Zexing was one such splinter faction.
It was said that the Holy Race was still hunting the Dou Race remnants across the universe. However, they were primarily targeting the more powerful factions, such as the forces led by the two Ancestral Gods and several Sun Gods.
The Dou Race faction near Zexing, however, was relatively weak—just an insignificant splinter group. The chances of them attracting the Holy Race’s attention were slim.
This was why they dared to act so brazenly.
If they did manage to attract the Holy Race’s attention, it would at least serve to distract the enemy for the other factions.
Although it was unlikely this group of Dou Race would attract the Holy Race, Su Ze couldn’t let his guard down. The Dou Race remained a latent threat to Zexing that had to be eliminated.
The two groups were too close, making conflict inevitable. Besides, with the way the Dou Race behaved, they were bound to attract other enemies sooner or later.
Fortunately, this Dou Race faction had no Sun God experts. Their leader was merely a Moon God.
This faction had a total of fifteen Moon God experts, but Su Ze had killed three and captured one, leaving only eleven.
For their leader to be able to command the others, he naturally had to have some exceptional qualities.
Su Ze learned from his inquiries that this Dou Race Moon God was the scion of an Ancestral God. He was a talented genius of the Dou Race with outstanding combat power.
Every race had its geniuses, just as Su Ze was a genius of the Human Race. However, this Dou Race Moon God was clearly not as prominent among his people as Su Ze, or he wouldn’t have been abandoned by the main force.
Although the Dou Race Moon God was the scion of an Ancestral God, that particular Ancestral God had over one hundred thousand descendants and paid little attention to his ordinary children.
Furthermore, that Dou Race Ancestral God had already fallen in the great war against the Holy Race.
Nevertheless, Su Ze couldn’t afford to be careless when facing the son of an Ancestral God, a genius of the cosmos. He’d also heard the man possessed a ninth-rank Divine Artifact.
’A ninth-rank Divine Artifact can’t be wielded to its true potential by a Moon God, but it’s still a massive threat. My current strength isn’t quite enough to guarantee a win. I’d better absorb all the Origin Genes in the Inheritance Crystal first...’
After learning about the Dou Race group’s strength, he could only say that the situation wasn’t terrible.
At least they didn’t have a Sun God.
If there had been a Sun God expert among them, Su Ze would have been helpless. He might have even had to consider evacuating everyone from Zexing to lay low for a while.
Having extracted the information he wanted, it was time to deal with the captives.
After a moment of thought, Su Ze killed the Dou Race General and plundered his Origin Gene.
His Dou Race Origin Gene completeness rose to 38%, and his strength saw a decent improvement.
As for the other Star Gods, he considered his options and decided to keep the two strongest, imprisoning them for the time being.
The remaining Star Gods were given to Old Waller and the others to plunder.
Su Ze kept these two Star Gods with a plan in mind. He would wait until the Pope completed his seventh evolution, then try to control them using his simulated Blood and Flesh Parasite.
Zexing was currently short on Star God-level combatants; having two more fighters wouldn’t hurt.
More importantly, as members of the Dou Race, they were knowledgeable about their people. If Su Ze had to deal with the Dou Race again in the future, these two would prove useful.
It was just like with the Pope; with him around, Su Ze’s group could impersonate the Nian Race almost flawlessly.
’Maybe in the future,’ Su Ze thought, ’I can build my own "Ten Thousand Races Army," recruiting experts from all the Intelligent Races across the Cosmic Starry Sky.’
With everything arranged, Su Ze entered seclusion to absorb the Origin Genes from the Inheritance Crystal and digest the Evolutionary Material within his body.
The others, like the Pope, Mr. Ya, and Lin Hua, also went into seclusion.
The Pope entered seclusion to complete his seventh evolution, while Mr. Ya and the others focused on digesting their Evolutionary Material.
They had all plundered a good number of Origin Genes while following Su Ze, and this was the perfect opportunity to digest them.
...
Inside the Inheritance Crystal, there were currently over seven hundred strands of Origin Genes that Su Ze could absorb.
All of them were Origin Genes with a completeness of over 20%. Many belonged to races Su Ze recognized by name, but even more came from Intelligent Races that had long since vanished into the river of history.
’There are only a few hundred Intelligent Races in the universe now, but these few hundred races contain the Origin Genes of the former Ten Thousand Races.’
’Senior Mr. Ao was a top-tier Ancestral God in his lifetime, yet the inheritance he left behind only contains a little over two thousand strands of Origin Genes. That doesn’t add up.’
