I am the Clone of a Death Row Inmate
Chapter 668 - 373: You Call This a Star God?
The kinetic energy unleashed by the collision of two faster-than-light spaceships was unimaginable.
A terrifying shockwave ravaged the surroundings, instantly pulverizing several asteroids. Even the nearest planet was fractured by the impact, spewing magma as its surface continuously collapsed.
Fortunately, there were no life-bearing planets in the vicinity.
Su Ze hadn’t actually wanted to do this, but unfortunately, his Magic Cube had no offensive systems. To intercept the Bag Race’s ship, he had to resort to such a crude tactic.
’Once I’ve looted the Bag Race’s home base and saved up enough money,’ he thought, ’I’m definitely going to upgrade the Magic Cube’s configuration.’
’This Beggar’s Edition Magic Cube is really a bit lacking.’
However, despite the terrifying violence of the collision, neither ship was actually damaged, as both had Protective Shields on their hulls.
As a Sun God-level Spaceship, the Magic Cube’s Protective Shield could withstand a full-power attack from a Sun God. The same principle applied to the Bag Race’s Moon God-level Spaceship, which could block a full-power attack from a Moon God.
The force of the impact just now hadn’t reached the level of a full-power attack from a Sun God, but it had already surpassed that of a typical Moon God.
As a result, the Magic Cube’s Protective Shield was completely unscathed, but the Bag Race ship’s shield was flickering and on the verge of collapse, no longer offering any real protection.
Inside the Bag Race’s spaceship, the couple’s faces were masks of terror.
"It’s them! They’ve come back to get revenge on us!"
The pair didn’t know Su Ze had been following them all along. They assumed he had gone to get reinforcements before circling back to cause them trouble.
Unable to gauge the strength of Su Ze and his companion, the two didn’t dare to leave their ship.
They even considered trying to flee.
Su Ze piloted the Magic Cube to ram the Bag Race ship again, completely shattering its already failing Protective Shield. This time, the Bag Race couple didn’t dare try to flee.
After all, it was nearly impossible for a Moon God-level Spaceship to escape pursuit from a Sun God-level Spaceship.
A moment later, Su Ze received a communication request from the other ship.
"Put it through."
Su Ze gave the order, and the Magic Cube connected to the Bag Race ship’s communication channel.
"We don’t know which race you’re from, honored sir, but why are you attacking us? Could you please be merciful and let us go?" the voice of the Female Bag Race pleaded from the other end.
"Do I need a reason to attack you? When have you Bag Race ever bothered with reasons when you ambush and rob people?" Su Ze scoffed. "You Bag Race get to be Star Pirates, but I need a reason to try it just once? Are you looking down on me?"
"My lord, that’s not what I meant. Whatever you desire, we’ll hand over everything we have. We just beg you to spare our lives," the Female Bag Race pleaded.
The fact that Su Ze identified their race immediately made the Bag Race couple even more certain that he had come specifically for revenge.
Su Ze’s arrogance in brazenly intercepting their ship meant he must be confident he could handle them. Therefore, they both guessed there were powerful experts aboard his ship.
Perhaps multiple Moon Gods, or even a Sun God.
After all, Su Ze and his companion appeared as members of the Nian Race, and the Nian Race had quite a number of powerful experts.
"I can spare you. Get out of the ship now, and hand over every valuable you have on you!"
Su Ze wouldn’t be so rash as to board their ship. It was common sense. Entering another’s vessel was like walking into a cage; they could trap you at any moment.
Unless he possessed the power to break out of a ship from within, any interaction had to take place outside, or inside his own vessel.
After a moment of silence from the other side, they surprisingly agreed.
A moment later, the hatch of the Bag Race’s ship opened, and a male Bag Race member stepped out. It was the very same stall owner who had made the deal with Su Ze.
"Boss, let me go. I have Shadow Clones and can use my Instant Teleportation Skill to return to the ship at any time," Mr. Ya volunteered.
It was risky to go out. Su Ze’s Magic Cube had no weapon systems, but that didn’t mean the other ship was unarmed. If they left the protection of the Magic Cube and the enemy suddenly opened fire, there would be nowhere to hide.
"That won’t be necessary." Su Ze demanded of the other side, "Why is he alone? I told both of you to come out!"
"My lord, please forgive me. I’m pregnant and have difficulty moving."
"Heh. Is there ever a time when you Bag Race *aren’t* pregnant?" Su Ze didn’t press the issue. He knew the Female Bag Race was dead set on not leaving her ship. He’d have to destroy it from the outside to force her out.
Instead, he demanded, "Have him come aboard. He can deliver the goods to me personally."
With that, he opened the Magic Cube’s hatch.
The male Bag Race member outside hesitated for a long while. Apparently berated telepathically by the female, he dejectedly flew toward the Magic Cube.
At this moment, a sliver of doubt appeared in the Female Bag Race’s mind. ’Su Ze is acting tough, but why go through all this trouble?’
’If he really had a Sun God or multiple Moon Gods on his ship, they could have just stormed my vessel directly.’
’After all, my ship’s Protective Shield is down, and I can’t outrun the Magic Cube. I’m completely at their mercy.’
’Could it be that they don’t actually have any experts over there? Are they just bluffing, relying on their Sun God-level Spaceship?’
The moment this thought surfaced, the Female Bag Race’s suspicion grew. It seemed very likely.
’After all, no matter how weak Su Ze and his companion are, as long as they don’t leave the Magic Cube, there’s nothing I can do to them.’
’This Sun God-level Spaceship of theirs doesn’t even have weapon systems. It must be the absolute base model. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have had to resort to ramming me.’
’Thinking about it that way, they don’t seem like rich or powerful people at all. Who knows where they even got this ship?’
