Divine Grace of Evolution (God-level Skill): At each stage of evolution, you gain one opportunity to acquire a new skill through plunder. You also master the ability to disassemble and reassemble skills.

When Su Ze clearly perceived the skill’s effects, his breathing instantly quickened!

’I can only say one thing: Divine Grace of Evolution is eternally supreme!’

On the surface, the skill’s effects seemed unchanged, but in reality, the difference was massive.

Su Ze wasn’t sure about Ancestral God-level experts, but he knew that for the three evolutionary levels from Star God to Sun God, it was no longer possible to gain new skills by absorbing things like extracts or Bloodline Crystals.

This was why it was said that the God-level stages were a process of subtraction. Even if one strengthened skills by absorbing external resources, it only improved a skill’s quality, not the number of skills one possessed.

Furthermore, as skills were fused, the total number of skills would gradually decrease.

But now, the upgraded Divine Grace of Evolution had unexpectedly granted Su Ze the opportunity to acquire new skills once more.

Although it was only one chance per evolutionary stage, that still amounted to three new skill slots from the Star God level to the Sun God level.

These three skill slots were nothing to scoff at. Others didn’t have them, but he did. This was his chance to pull far ahead of the competition.

Moreover, he could strategically seek out skills that complemented his existing ones, which would make them easier to fuse later on.

The method for acquiring new skills was "plunder," which was quite similar to before. It involved absorbing the Evolutionary Material from a higher-level life form to obtain one of its skills.

However, his targets were no longer limited to exotic beasts. Su Ze could now plunder individuals from other Intelligent Races and seize the skills of their experts.

The only difference from before was that he could no longer acquire skills by purchasing extracts. He had to personally kill the target to plunder its skill.

This meant that if Su Ze wanted to plunder a suitable skill without powerful help, he would have to fight opponents of a higher level.

Defeating an opponent of a higher level during the God-level stages was far more difficult than it had been at the Saint-level.

The higher the evolutionary level, the greater the power gap between each rank. At his current strength, it was absolutely impossible for Su Ze to jump a level and kill a Moon God.

But to acquire a new skill, he had no other choice. He could only strive toward that goal.

Fortunately, he had only just entered the Star God level and still had significant room for improvement within this stage.

If all else failed, he could choose a Rank-8 exotic beast as his target. At the God-level stages, the power gap between exotic beasts and experts from Intelligent Races of the same rank was even wider, making the beasts easier to handle.

’Challenging a Moon God from an ordinary race is still a realistic possibility. I still have many skills to disassemble and reassemble, plus the vast amount of foreign Origin Genes left by Mr. Ao that I can absorb. These are all ways to rapidly increase my strength.’

His next goal was to first upgrade all his skills to God-level through disassembly and fusion, and then to slowly begin absorbing the foreign Origin Genes Mr. Ao had left behind.

But there was no rush. He could wait until he reached Zexing to work on improving.

Now that he had finally completed his seventh evolution, it was time to go out and share the good news with Mr. Ya and the others.

His strength had advanced by leaps and bounds during the journey. He was in a completely different league compared to when he was on Blue Star.

He was now confident he could overawe the other experts from Blue Star on Zexing.

But just as he stepped out of his resting quarters, before he even had a chance to speak, the Magic Cube suddenly gave a slight shudder and began to slow down.

As the owner of the Magic Cube, Su Ze immediately learned the cause from its system notifications.

The Magic Cube was under attack!

The Pope said grimly, "We’ve run into Star Pirates."

Su Ze hadn’t expected to run into highwaymen on his very first interstellar journey. Star Pirates, as their name implied, were groups that committed armed robbery in the vastness of space.

They typically carried weapons capable of interrupting a ship’s Space Travel. These weapons could force a vessel undergoing a Faster-than-light Space Jump to decelerate abruptly to sub-light speeds, preventing it from continuing the jump.

Meanwhile, Su Ze had already used the Magic Cube’s sensor systems to observe the situation outside.

The band of Star Pirates consisted of seven individuals: one Moon God and six Star Gods.

Once he had a clear grasp of the enemy’s strength, Su Ze breathed a sigh of relief. A force of this level posed no threat to the Magic Cube.

Judging by their appearance, the Star Pirates all belonged to the same race. They were tall and brawny, each standing over three meters tall.

Every one of them appeared physically powerful, with bulging, knotted muscles. Their appearance wasn’t too outlandish; aside from their reddish-brown skin and sparse, coarse hair, their facial features were quite similar to humans.

What surprised Su Ze, however, was that two of them had large pouches on their abdomens. These weren’t pockets on their clothing, but pouches of flesh and skin growing from their bodies!

The other five did not have these pouches. Judging by their facial features, the two with the pouches appeared to be female, while the other five were male.

This reminded Su Ze of a type of animal found on both Earth and Blue Star: marsupials.

The pouches on the two females’ abdomens were very likely Nursing Bags.

Su Ze didn’t recognize the race, but when he described this feature to the Pope, the latter immediately snorted in disdain. "The Bag Race. They’re a common, weak species in the universe, the bottom-feeders among the Intelligent Races.

"Master, you needn’t pay them any mind. Just fly away. They can’t do anything to us. Besides, once they realize we’re a Sun God-level Spaceship, they won’t dare to give chase.

"Their race is notorious for bullying the weak and fearing the strong. Whenever they see us from the Nian Race, they’re always bowing and scraping in submission."
