Chapter 628 - 359: Skill Reorganization (Part 4)

Thinking long-term, if he wanted to fuse powerful skills in the future, he had to choose a foundational skill. This skill would serve as the base, the cornerstone, for continuous enhancement.

For the cornerstone of their attack-type skills, the three of them chose the ’Strongest Punch’ skill without much hesitation.

The reason was simple: it was incredibly versatile.

The skill’s effect was to integrate other attack skills, making it compatible with almost any of them.

It could act as the glue between any attack-type skills. The current ’Strongest Punch’ could integrate five skills, meaning it could absorb at least five other attack abilities.

As for the foundational skill for status-type abilities, there were many options. Su Ze had plenty of skills in this category, but ultimately, he chose the ’Expansion’ skill.

The reason he didn’t choose the divine skill ’Sponge Body’ was so he could fuse another divine skill as quickly as possible.

If he fused other status-type skills into ’Sponge Body,’ its rank wouldn’t increase much since it was already a divine skill. However, if he fused other status-type skills with each other, he could create a new divine skill much faster.

As for his domain skills, the choice was obvious: he would use Gravity Domain as the foundation. It was currently Su Ze’s only true domain-type skill.

Once he sorted everything out and came up with a plan, the way forward became clear.

Su Ze got to work.

He decided to prioritize working on his three fifth-rank skills: Gravity Domain, Liquid Life, and Impact Cannon.

Liou Wenxin and the Pope both left the lounge, leaving Su Ze to himself.

Su Ze sank into thought. ’The effects of Liquid Life and Impact Cannon are both relatively simple—so simple there’s nothing really worth breaking apart.’

’The effect of Liquid Life is body Liquefaction, and the liquefied parts can change their appearance. The two effects are causally linked, so the appearance-changing aspect can’t be isolated.’

’The effect of Impact Cannon is to absorb, compress, and then release! These stages are also causally linked; every part of the process is essential.’

’Even the final part of its description—"The larger the user, the greater the skill’s power"—is based on cause and effect. A larger body can absorb more energy and matter, which naturally results in a stronger blast.’

’However, I feel this component could potentially be separated, as long as other skills could also match this cause-and-effect principle.’

’But there’s no need. I plan to integrate the entire Impact Cannon skill into ’Strongest Punch,’ so splitting it is pointless.’

Likewise, he planned to integrate the entire Liquid Life skill into his ’Expansion’ skill.

If the fusions were successful, it would be as if he had absorbed both of these fifth-rank skills.

Then, only the Gravity Domain skill would remain.

What Su Ze was considering now was what to add to Gravity Domain to upgrade it to the sixth rank.

’What can I break off from another skill?’

He had to make sure that stripping an effect from a skill wouldn’t cause it to drop below the sixth rank.

Otherwise, it would be a problem if Gravity Domain successfully upgraded, only for another skill to lose a rank in the process.

As for fusing an entire skill into Gravity Domain, that would be fine if its effects were simple. But for a skill with complex effects, the process would be difficult and time-consuming.

Su Ze didn’t have much time to spare, so it was best to stick to a simpler approach.

After thinking it over, he set his sights on the Sleep Poison from his ’Needle Strike’ skill.

When ’Needle Strike’ was integrated into ’Strongest Punch,’ the Sleep Poison had no opportunity to take effect. It only worked as a control ability when used on its own.

But as a burst-damage skill, ’Needle Strike’ didn’t synergize well with a control-type poison like Sleep Poison anyway.

’If I could extract the Sleep Poison and integrate it into the domain, I could poison my opponent the moment the domain is activated. Wouldn’t that be much more direct?’

Su Ze’s eyes lit up. He felt this idea had real potential.

Besides, ’Needle Strike’ was a Quasi-Divine Skill. Even if it was stripped of the Sleep Poison effect, it wouldn’t drop below the sixth rank.

Su Ze decided, ’I’ll start by giving this a try!’
