Chapter 152 - What Do You Want?
At that moment, the 8 young masters were playing a poker game of Texas Hold 'Em. The three cards of Jack of Hearts, Ace of Spades, and Seven of Clubs, was just revealed on the flop.
"Check."
"Check."
"Check."
"Raise $2 million."
Bang!
A young master in a smart red suit immediately slammed the table in anger before pointing his finger at the $2 million raiser.
"Dammit, Young Master Gavino! You keep raising $2 million on every flop! I don't believe you have a good hand every time!"
"If you don't think so, you can just call it. There's no need to get so mad over a small game, Young Master Lukas," Young Master Gavino stated calmly with a slight smile before he goaded, "Not unless you don't have enough chips to follow through?"
"Ptui! Who doesn't have enough money? Do you think my family is poor?! I call!" Young Master Lukas snorted, immediately taking the bait.
"Your Waldschmidt family is certainly wealthy enough." Another young master wearing a black coat chuckled before shaking his head, "However, the same cannot be said about you, Young Master Lukas. I call."
"What did you just say, Young Master Godfrey? What do you mean that!?"
"Interpret it however you see fit, Young Master Godfrey said coolly without explaining further.
One does not require a high IQ to understand that Young Master Godfrey implied their parent's money is ultimately not their own.
"Hmph!"
Young Master Lukas snorted without speaking further. He quietly stared at his Ace of Hearts and Two of Diamonds, awaiting for the game to proceed forward with the next step.
Nevertheless, with one raise and two calls, the pot quickly reached a staggering $6 million in chips.
However, it was only the start and not the end.
Five other young masters have yet to make their call.
"I call."
"Call."
"Fold."
The Flop round quickly ended with 6 calls and one young master folding, and the pot reaching a total of $14 million in chips.
"Hm? What's wrong, Young Master Lucky? Are the stakes a bit too high for you?" Young Master Gavino asked with a provocative smile.
However, Young Master Lucky remained unaffected by the naked provocation and simply shrugged, "It's simply unwise to play with a bad hand. Count myself unlucky."
A Three of Hearts and Four of Clubs was revealed before Young Master Lucky folded.
"Young Master Lucky is feeling unlucky? That's quite ironic," Young Master Godfrey chuckled.
While the 8 young masters still seemed somewhat cordial in their expressions, their words were filled with hidden scorn and jabs are each other, causing the room to be intense.
Nervousness could be seen written all over the dealer's face while the 24 subordinates accompanying the 8 young masters all wore solemn expressions.
They were vigilant against each other and did not know when their own young master would just flip out and cause a fight to break out.
"How about choosing another room to play in, Young Master Albion?" Manager Bardo suggested with a wry look.
The Metti Gang can stand tall in Silvercove city with the Abestel family's backing.
Still, even the Abestel family cannot cover them if they offend the 8 young masters with their giant families standing behind them. As such, Manager Bardo was helpless to deal with them.
Nevertheless, Albion remained nonchalant towards these young masters with high statuses.
As Albion ate from his meat skewers, he casually replied, "Since I have come, I will stay."
Manager Bardo's lips immediately twitched for a moment before he ultimately sighed, "Then... Well, alright. I will take my leave now, Young Master Albion. Someone will deliver your chips shortly."
"Alright." Albion nodded.
Shortly after, Manager Bardo took his leave helplessly.
Young Master Albion's background was unclear to him, and he could not offend the other 8 young masters either.
God knows what kind of chaos will be brewed after this group of troublemakers are mixed together.
Outside of the poker room, Manager Bardo summoned a staff member over.
"You called, Manager Bardo?"
"Un." Manager Bardo nodded and said, "Albion Black. Tell the intelligence team to find information on this person and deliver them to me."
"Yes, Manager Bardo," The male staff complied with a slight bow before leaving promptly.
Manager Bardo was a person who lived by one simple rule; if he does not know who someone is, don't offend them.
It is not too late to bully or flatter them after finding out.
...
Back inside the poker room, Albion casually walked in on the heated game and took his seat at the empty spot around the poker table for 9 players.
His sudden appearance and action were so seemingly casual that he stunned everyone. It was as if he was treating the place as his own backyard.
"Sup fellas. No one will mind if I join y'all, right?" Albion said casually.
Young Master Lukas was the first to snap out of his daze before he aggressively snarled, "What the hell do you want—?"
"Sandwiches. I want sandwiches," Albion nonchalantly answered with a lackadaisical look.
"...What?"
Young Master Lukas and the other 7 young masters were quickly dumbfounded by Albion once again.
Bang!
Shortly after, Young Master Lukas slammed the poker table in anger and roared, "There's no sandwiches here, you stupid donkey! Are you making fun of me?!"
"Which stupid donkey is calling me stupid donkey?"
"This stupid donkey is call—Huh? Wait a minute..." Young Master Lukas wanted to puke blood in realization.
"So you are aware that you are a stupid donkey? My condolences," Albion cracked a smile before shaking his head, "You won't get stupid answers if you don't ask stupid questions."
"...Like seriously? Was it too hard to understand that I came to play poker? Must be tough being a stupid donkey," Albion sighed sympathetically as if he truly felt that way. However, the sarcasm was evident.
"Stupid donkey... Pfft! He got you there, Young Master Lukas! Hahaha!" Young Master Gavino guffawed heartily.
Young Master Lucas's foul mood was quickly aggravated by the grating laughter, causing his face to flush with anger due to humiliation.
"Bastard! Do you think any Tom, Dick, and Harry can sit here and play with us?! Know your place, commoner!" Young Master Lukas erupted furiously and thundered, "Men! Take this clown out and break his dog legs for me!"
