Chapter 872: Lirien Lake

Eira stood at the water's edge with her arms folded tight across her chest as she saw Zhao Tian diving into the lake.

From beneath the surface of the lake, Zhao Tian broke through with a soft gasp as water streamed down his face and shoulders.

He slicked his hair back with both hands, droplets flying like tiny crystals, and glanced at her with a teasing smile.

"Come on, Eira." he called, his voice carrying easily over the quiet water. "The lake's warm, the sky's perfect, and I'm lonely."

The blush on her cheeks deepened as she spoke "You're unbelievable," she muttered in a loud voice for him to hear. "Do you ever think before you speak?"

He laughed and swept one arm through the water, sending a playful wave toward the shore. "Don't make me come fetch you."

Her ears flicked again and she glanced left and right, making sure that no one else in sight.

With an angry huff, she kicked off her soft leather shoes.

Her fingers hesitated at the ties of her light tunic, but then with a sigh she quickly removed them until the clothes slipped from her shoulders and pooled at her feet.

Evening spilled over bare skin, tracing the graceful lines of collarbones, the soft curve of waist and hip, and the long green hair that fell to veil her breasts.

She lifted her chin, refusing to cover herself, and shot him one last glare.

Zhao Tian's smile softened as she stepped to the water's edge.

Eira dipped a toe, then another, and she waded in slowly as the surface lapped at her thighs, her hips, and her waist until the water cradled her completely.

When she reached him, she stopped an arm's length away, "You're such a... Haa. Never mind."

He lifted his hand from the water and let a single droplet fall from his fingers onto her bare shoulder. It rolled down the curve of her arm and vanished between her breasts.

"Cold?"

She shook her head and replied "…Warm."

He smiled and and folded forward, diving back into the lake.

A moment later Eira followed, arching gracefully and slipping into the water beside him as she kicked her legs in a slow, powerful rhythm that sent gentle ripples across the lake.

They swam side by side, and their shoulders occasionally brushed as they swam through the lake's depths.

Zhao Tian rolled onto his back, gliding on the surface, letting the gentle current carry him while he gazed up at the evening sun overhead.

Eira did the same motion beside him, backstroking on the lake's surface, as her breasts rose just above the surface with each slow, peaceful breath.

For a long while they simply drifted, looking at the beautiful sky.

They slowly swam there, and looking at him, she spoke "Thank you for helping my sister... she has been suffering with her split soul."

"Good thing she has that in control."

Zhao Tian let out a soft sigh and replied "I just gave her the key, she worked hard on it to get it under her control."

Upon hearing this, a smile appeared on her lips "Still thank you."

The last ember of sunset had vanished, leaving the sky in a deep indigo color as stars began to emerge.

Looking at him, Eira asked softly "How long are you going to float here…?"

Zhao Tian's eyes stayed on the emerging stars with a fainst smile on his lips "I don't know. Staying here feels peaceful. If you have duties, Eira, go ahead. Someone else is happy to keep me company."

Eira frowned slightly "Someone?" ℯℯ𝘭.

Zhao Tian's smile widened slightly "How long are you going to watch us? Come out."

Suddenly the lake rippled, and from the center a massive Loong emerged with her enormous body coiling gracefully above the surface.

Water cascaded from her mane as she lowered her head, "Forgive me, Revered One. It was not my intention to spy on you."

She dipped lower, "I wished to speak with you, but seeing you resting so peacefully… I did not wish to disturb."

Eira's gaze flicked between the ancient dragon and the man floating beside her 'Oh the Guardian Deity.'

Zhao Tian turned his head to look at her "Eira, you can leave."

For a moment she hesitated, but then she inclined her head "Then I will take my leave, Honoured One."

She began to glide toward the shore until she rose naked and dripping onto the silver grass.

Eira paused once, glancing back at him for a second, and then she turned away, disappearing into the meadow's soft glow.

The Loong waited in patient silence until Eira's footsteps faded entirely.

Only then did she lower her great head until her snout nearly touched the water beside Zhao Tian.

Looking up at the creature, Zhao Tian tilted his head "How should I call you? Do you have a name?"

With a nod, she replied "You can call me Lirien... Revered One."

Smiling, he replied "Lirien, that's a good name."

Lirien's golden eyes softened, and she stayed silent for a while, hearing his compliment.

Looking at him floating in the lake, she asked "Can I have the honor of joining you in the bath, Revered One?"

Hm? He looked up at her in confusion "What do you mean? Aren't you already accompanying me?"

In the next instant, a bright light filled the Loong's body and the dragon scales on its body disappeared.

The massive form folded inward, shrinking and reshaping in a swirl of mist and a breathtaking woman appeared.

Long flowing black hair with deep golden eyes and two horns on her head.

She was wearing green robes as she kneeled on top of the lake "Revered One..."

Huh? Zhao Tian blinked in surprise "Oh... you have a human form?"

In the next instant, her clothes disappeared, leaving her naked on the lake "Yes... My Lord."

Her skin glowed faintly in the night, her full breasts rising and falling with each calm breath.

He blinked faintly, looking at her seductive body and gently lowered his gaze "I... see."

Lirien saw him avoiding her gaze and panicked "My Lord... forgive me, is my body not pleasant to look at?"

With a shake of his head, he gave her body an appreciative look and spoke "No Lirien, you look stunning."

The worry in her eyes melted and a warm smile appeared on her lips "I am happy to hear that."

Lirien slipped forward and the water parted for her as she eased into the lake.

The surface barely rippled as she floated closer to Zhao Tian in the lake.
