Chapter 1208: Chapter 97: Tiamat, the Outer God Alliance_2
The grandest and most magnificent ritual requires integration with a large number of Tree Spirits, and it can even restore a vast forest.
But throughout history, those who could withstand it were few and far between.
"Halt."
"This is the territory of the Verdant Leisure Garden." A deep male voice sounded.
Duncan calmly gazed ahead at a Great Druid, marked with five silver-grey stars. The other had lush facial hair, wore armor woven from leaves, which for him was equivalent to scale armor. He wore antlers on his head and scrutinized Duncan with a critical eye.
Facing the obstruction, Duncan calmly raised his hand and said, "I come to visit the Circle of Nature."
"This is the token of the Fairy Queen of Wind Spear Hill."
A green leaf wrapped in magic appeared in the palm of his hand.
The Druidic Order is very exclusive.
Under normal circumstances, others, even adventurers, find it difficult to assimilate into the Druid’s outdoor community, let alone the Verdant Leisure Garden, which is always considered a representative of radical behavior.
A token from the Elf Species.
The other party’s expression was slightly surprised. Such an item only signified Duncan’s close relationship with the Elf Species or his previous assistance to them.
"Please follow me."
"Guest."
The Druid quickly put away a trace of hostility and raised his hand to invite Duncan into the forest, whispering, "Please don’t disturb the nearby Tree Spirits."
Druids in the wild have food, drink, and elves, so many don’t enter city life for decades, therefore they lack many convolutions and intricacies.
The different way of life also sets them apart significantly from others.
Duncan nodded slowly, as curious spirit beings appeared along the way. They were elves seeking shelter nearby, converging towards the Druid settlement. The expansion of humanity has destroyed forests. In a world where productivity hasn’t sufficiently developed, especially when gods have, to some extent, limited productivity, ordinary people wanting to live, or live better, can only demand more from nature.
But this can actually be changed.
A High Magic World capable of tearing mountain veins and exploring planetary dimensions, yet still holding medieval productivity, is utterly laughable. Without the existence of these gods, the vast majority of mortals should live quite well.
Duncan entered an orchard cultivated by Druids and saw little elves flying among the trees and flowers. These elves, only half a palm in size, curiously looked at him, inexplicably feeling a sense of closeness.
A delicate Flower Spirit landed on Duncan’s shoulder, curiously observing him, even extending her tiny hand to touch his cheek, wipe the dew off his hair.
"Such an astonishing affinity with elves!"
"Does this gentleman possess the favor of nature?" The guiding Druid was shocked, but his attitude became a bit friendlier.
Someone from within.
A being unrelated to nature cannot attract elves proactively. After all, many young Druids can’t even let little elves put down their guard.
Duncan turned to look at the bold Flower Spirit sitting on his shoulder. He took a candy from his dimensional bag and handed it to her.
Elves always possess childlike innocence. They are the embodiment of nature’s spirituality.
"Thank you." The Flower Spirit graciously thanked, taking the candy as she flew away, sharing it with her curious but hesitant companions nearby.
The leading Druid couldn’t help but ask in surprise, "Where do you come from, sir?"
Duncan smiled and said, "Selgont."
In the direction of the Comanthor Forest.
Upon hearing this, the Druid pondered as the tree barrier ahead opened, revealing a deeper forest pathway.
Could there really be a unicorn?
Duncan sensed the power of Essence, and the Essence also sensed him. In the Druid’s incredulous gaze, as Duncan walked, sometime a faint glowing layer appeared on him, then one by one dancing light spots surrounded his figure, as if dancing, as if cheering, more excited than usual.
It’s the Wild Essence.
Duncan has the eternal favor of All Spirits Faith; any concept related to it starts at least friendly, and he is not someone who likes to destroy nature, without conflict with the Elf Species.
This is a Druid’s Circle deep in the mountain forest, each ring is a small Druid community with its own research projects.
Druids are very long-lived.
Under normal circumstances, every Druidic Order has at least one Legendary Druid, possibly living for hundreds of years.
Duncan saw many legendary level marked units.
"Sir, you can move about freely. If you wish to meditate or inquire about nature, you could seek out the Oak Sage of the Circle of Nature."
After confirming Duncan as an ally of the Nature faction, the guiding Druid directly left him to attend to his own business.
The Druidic Order is very exclusive, but they are quite friendly internally.
They not only serve a single Divine Spirit but are loyal to the entire ’nature’. In their unity, Druids have an astonishing number of allies. Nature’s faction has a terrifying battle potential.
"Huh?"
"There’s even a shrine offering to elves."
"Are there any Elf Druids nearby?" Duncan gazed with slight surprise at the distant statue of the goddess.
Humans and elves living together.
—The Trinity Goddess - Angeris (Second Generation Divine Queen).
Why isn’t Corellon being worshipped?
This one should be the Main God, right?
Very quickly, upon seeing the very beautiful elf statue, Duncan immediately understood something.
Angeris is a Mighty Divine Power, a god produced by fusion.
