Chapter 170: Chap.167 - Black Hit!

Just as Rigel had expected, Slytherin's style of play only got worse. Rigel scored another point and stuck close to the Slytherins to prevent them from committing fouls. Wood managed to prevent Marcus's next point, leaving the boy furious.

Seeing a Bludger approaching, he grabbed the beater's staff beside him and struck the Bludger directly at Wood. Wood was hit squarely in the face and fell, leaving Rigel furious. Although outwardly his face remained calm, if it weren't for so many eyes around, he would have already knocked those imbeciles off their brooms.

Hooch did nothing, there were no rules against that sort of thing, like Keepers being able to score points and Chasers being able to act as Beaters, even other players could catch the Snitch, although the game only ends if the Snitch falls into the Seeker's hand.

Knowing this, Rigel was ready to move, two could play this game, but at that moment there was a change, Harry's broom started dancing like crazy.

Rigel remembered that event, he didn't know where Dumbledore was, but he wasn't there. He frowned, looking towards the stands. Quirrell really had a screw loose in his head. What the hell was he doing?

At that moment, Rigel scanned the field with his eyes, his vision slowing, and the next instant, he moved, heading directly towards Katie, who was about to be hit by a Bludger.

Rigel seemed to see everything in slow motion.

Not far from the stands where Quirrell and Snape were, the Slytherin Chaser, Graham Montague, was with Quaffle and flying towards the Gryffindor Hoops, he was almost passing close to Quirrell.

Rigel's pupils constricted to a tiny point, and even sound began to seem distorted to him.

When he reached Katie, under the shocked eyes of the girl who had already seen the Bludger coming towards her, Rigel jumped off the broom while repeating the movement he made in the tests, only this time, his target was not the Quaffle, it was the Bludger.

Applying a good portion of his strength, still in the air, he grabbed his own broom with one hand, the broom making a buzzing sound cutting through the air forcefully as Rigel used it like a bat, when the Bludger hit against the broom, the wood protested, but did not break, in slow motion, the deformation of the ball was clearly visible against the wooden shaft.

The audience still stared at it with wide eyes. The world seemed to freeze.

A loud sound was heard as the Bludger was launched away at twice its normal speed, aiming directly at Graham. He only had time to widen his eyes when the Bludger struck his shoulder, a sound of bones breaking and Graham's cry of pain was heard.

The Quaffle slipped from his hand, but the momentum didn't stop it, Graham was practically thrown against the stands, landing on top of several unlucky spectators, including Quirrell and Snape.

Rigel had already used the rebound to get back onto the broom and didn't even look at Katie as he sped across the field, catching the Quaffle as it fell in mid-air.

The crowd and the players were still in shock, even Lee forgot to speak, Rigel didn't care, he sped away with the Quaffle in hand.

The Slytherin players were the first to come to their senses, they relentlessly pursued Rigel, but Rigel, who approached the hoops, was confronted by the Keeper.

Rigel scoffed, this game was no longer about sportsmanship, now it was broomstick warfare!

Rigel threw the Quaffle, but didn't aim for the Hoop, and to the Keeper's shocked eyes, he took a ball directly to the face, falling backward.

Rigel chased after the Quaffle's rebound and caught it in mid-air, before throwing it over the Slytherin Hoop.

Lee finally came to his senses and put the score on the board, shouting excitedly. - Unbelievable! What a play! This will definitely go down in Quidditch history, I hope someone managed to photograph it! It'll be on the front page! Especially that broomstick hit! It was unprecedented, I've never seen a player do that, that's it! I've named it! I'm going to call it the Black Hit! - Lee practically jumped out of his chair while shouting excitedly.

His voice snapped the audience out of their stupor, and soon a fierce cheering section erupted from the Gryffindor side.

Ron was also celebrating like crazy, he didn't particularly like Rigel, but he did like Quidditch. However, the real reason he was so excited was seeing Snape get knocked down by Graham. Ron wasn't the only one, most of the Gryffindors gave a standing ovation, but the reason was seeing Snape get hit.

How satisfying! Completely satisfying! They will cherish this memory for the rest of their lives!

Snape, who had finally managed to get up, was furious, but he couldn't blame Rigel now, he could only take out his anger on the unlucky Graham. Unfortunately, the boy was already crying in pain, he had injured not only his shoulder but also his leg, which was trapped between the wooden benches, the bleeding bone practically visible.

If it weren't for that, Snape would have eaten him alive already!

The Keeper, Miles, had also fainted, so now the Keepers from both sides were out of the game. This enraged Marcus, who glared at Rigel as if he wanted to tear a piece off him with his teeth.

Rigel stared back at him, clearly mocking him.

The twins appeared at that moment next to Rigel.

"That was beautiful! Beautiful! It was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen!" Fred shouted, full of excitement.

"Hahaha! Rigel, you're going to make Gryffindor history this time! No, Quidditch history!" George was also extremely excited!

Rigel simply smiled at them and said. "Come on, the game isn't over!" Then he sped away.

The twins, still excited, didn't mind, the excitement made them want to imitate Rigel and take down some Slytherins!
