How To Ruin A Love Comedy
Chapter 476
“Restroom...”
Hiyori trailed off and stood up.
I stared at her in disbelief and asked, "You're going again?"
"Yep. I drank too much..."
It hadn't even been ten minutes since her last trip to the restroom, and her cup of coffee was still more than half full. Drank too much, my ass.
She was acting incredibly suspicious. It wasn't like she got horny all of a sudden and was sneaking off to masturbate... so what was her deal?
"Why are you taking your handbag?"
"In case someone steals it."
"I'm sitting right here."
"Please be nice to me.""What?"
"Nothing."
From her rambling, to the cold sweat rolling down her cheeks, to her slightly flushed face...
I had been half in doubt at first, but now I was certain.
Hiyori was turned on right now. A lot.
She wasn't going to the restroom because she was on her period. She was going because her panties were wet.
Though I still didn't understand why she needed her handbag.
I had caught a glimpse inside when she pulled something out earlier, and there hadn't been any pads or diapers in there.
Was it just a habit? Or maybe she was keeping it on hand so she could run away if things got out of control.
"Leave the handbag."
"Why?"
"Because you might run away."
"Run away...! Why would I do that?"
"Knowing you, you just might."
"Unbelievable... so annoying."
Hiyori huffed and shuffled off toward the restroom, practically dragging her sandals across the floor.
Good thing there weren't many customers around. If the place was packed, that noise would have definitely gotten on someone's nerves.
It was quite a while before Hiyori finally returned.
Just as my drink was almost empty, she walked over with the same uncomfortable expression and plopped down in the seat across from me.
"What are you staring at?"
"Can't I look?"
"No."
"Why not?"
"Just because."
"You're funny. Wanna get out of here?"
"Go where?"
"We could go to a multi-room cafe or something."
Hiyori's shoulders gave a noticeable jolt.
She must have remembered the last time we were in one of those enclosed rooms, when I did all sorts of dirty things to her until she came.
"Wh-what are you planning to do to me?"
"Who knows."
I gave a nonchalant shrug, and Hiyori's gaze sharpened.
"You're finally showing your true colors...!"
"What true colors?"
"Don't play dumb...!"
"Why are you giving me such an attitude today?"
"You made me this way, sunbae-nim."
Hearing her say it like that made her sound like a heroic female knight who had been corrupted by her environment and turned into the Demon King's bride.
Just picturing it was turning me on. Should I ask Renka to try out that kind of roleplay with me?
She'd probably throw a fit and hate the idea at first, but once we actually got down to it, she'd end up getting super immersed.
"I made you like this?"
"Yes."
"Let's go with that, then. Come on, let's leave."
"I haven't finished my coffee yet."
"Just take it to go."
"Outside food isn't allowed in multi-room cafes."
"Really?"
"Yeah. It's like that everywhere else, too."
"Then we'll go somewhere else instead."
"Somewhere else like where? A movie theater?"
"Anywhere is fine, let's just get out of here. It feels stuffy."
"You're just pretending it's stuffy...! You're trying to drag me somewhere shady...!"
"What am I, a kidnapper?"
"Aren't you?"
"Then follow me and I'll give you some candy."
"Sounds good to me."
This conversation had gone completely off the rails.
And yet, we were somehow still on the same wavelength, which was both fascinating and funny.
Hiyori's mood seemed to have bounced back a bit. We walked out of the cafe, and my gaze drifted toward a tall building about three blocks down the street.
It was a Hotel that catered to tourists.
"See...! I knew you were having weird thoughts...!"
Hiyori grumbled, following my line of sight.
I reached out and flicked her cowlick, which was drooping unusually low today, and said, "I am not."
"Don't lie to me...! You totally are! You really are a pervert..."
"What about you?"
"What about me?"
"Seems like you've been having weird thoughts since earlier."
"No, I haven't...?"
"It's written all over your face. Didn't you bring a spare change of clothes today?"
"Wh-what are you talking about...!"
Her earlobes turned beet red. It looked like I had hit the nail right on the head.
That's what you get for picking a fight with me.
I swallowed down the remark, suddenly struck by how innocent Hiyori looked in that moment.
I hadn't thought much of it when we first arrived at the cafe.
But taking her in now—dressed far more maturely than usual, holding her coffee in one hand and that cute handbag in the other, getting all flustered over a little teasing—she looked like the heroine straight out of a vanilla rom-com.
"Wh-why are you looking at me like that...? You're staring..."
She turned her head away, seemingly finding my intense gaze a bit too much to handle.
With her voice shrinking down to a squeak, she was the perfect picture of a proper lady.
"You should dress like this from now on. Everything's covered up. It looks great."
"But my legs are exposed?"
"Your skirt goes below your knees. That's enough."
"What's with you all of a sudden? It's too much..."
"Is it too much?"
"I'm just saying that."
"That's a relief. So, where do you want to go?"
"The person who suggested we leave should be the one to decide."
"Got it."
My car passed through the downtown area and headed for the outskirts of the city.
Hiyori gazed out the window at the rapidly thinning traffic and asked, "Where are we going right now? Don't tell me we're going to the beach?"
"We're not going that far. Did you want to see the ocean?"
"No. It just looked like we were leaving the city limits, so I asked. Where are we going, then?"
"To a drive-in theater. It's about twenty minutes away."
"Why are we going all the way out there? If we'd just looked around, I'm sure there was one near the cafe..."
"The downtown area feels way too busy. Let's just take it easy and relax."
"Well... I suppose that's not bad."
"Right?"
"Yeah."
Hiyori pushed her seat back a bit and crossed her legs.
That caused one side of her hip to lift slightly, shifting her weight in that direction.
It could have just been an innocent attempt to get comfortable, but given her current state, it felt like she was doing it on purpose.
Like, for instance, worrying that her wetness might soak through and stain the car seat... that sort of reason.
And sure enough, she kept shifting around—uncrossing and recrossing her legs, reclining her seat even further back, or turning to lie on her side.
I couldn't exactly call it weird behavior. Still, it was definitely out of character for her.
"Just sit still, will you?"
"It gets uncomfortable when I'm in a car for too long..."
"Look at you, firing off excuses. Did you have that response prepared?"
"I did not."
It was funny watching her get all defensive.
"Got it."
"Apologize for misunderstanding me."
"Sorry."
"Apology accepted."
We shared some light banter like that until we finally arrived at the drive-in theater.
A movie was just about to start, so I bought our tickets and drove right into the lot.
Since the theater was located on the outskirts of town, the lot was pretty small. Between the remote location and the early hour, there were hardly any other customers around.
Three cars in total, including mine. You couldn't call that a crowd even if you tried.
"This isn't bad at all."
"What isn't?"
"Just showing up like this without booking tickets in advance. If the theater was closed, we could've just gone for a drive and headed back... I think I like this."
She seemed to really enjoy this kind of spontaneous, unplanned date where we just picked a spot on a whim.
I'd have to take her out like this more often.
"You think so?"
"Yeah, but... why are you backing into the spot? The screen is over there."
"So we can watch from the back. Hop out."
Hiyori gave me a puzzled look as she stepped out of the car.
I flashed her a grin and popped the trunk. Pulling out a plush mat, I hit the button to fold the rear seats flat.
"Oh, it does that."
"Pretty nice, right?"
"Yeah. This would be super comfortable for car camping."
"Then we should go camping together sometime."
"I'd love to."
I should bring Miyuki along so the three of us could go. I felt like it would lead to all sorts of entertaining situations.
Once I finished laying the seats flat, Hiyori blinked her large eyes a couple of times before sliding right into the back of the SUV.
I climbed in beside her, settled into a spot, and pulled the trunk shut.
It was a large SUV, so aside from my legs being a bit cramped, the space was perfect.
For someone as short as Hiyori, it was so roomy she could practically live back here.
"Why did you close the trunk?"
"It's not like it blocks the screen."
"I guess, but..."
Judging by her suspicious tone, she was clearly wondering what I was really plotting.
Deciding I ought to satisfy our curious Hiyori's burning questions right away, I grabbed her arm and pulled her close. She'd been giving me those terribly suspicious looks since earlier, anyway.
"Eek...!?"
Hiyori ended up straddling me, a thoroughly flustered look washing over her face.
As she began to squirm against me, I wrapped my arms securely around her waist and said, "Let's watch the movie like this."
"D-don't be ridiculous...! I won't be able to see the screen from this angle...!"
"Then how about this?"
I gently patted Hiyori's lower back as she tried to squirm away from me, and reached over to prop up one side of the rear seat.
I leaned my back against it and spread my legs, pulling Hiyori down to sit snugly between them.
"Hey...! This is why you brought me here, isn't it...! You wanted to do dirty things to me...!!"
After being tossed around like a doll, Hiyori's voice had grown loud, and her breathing was already starting to turn ragged.
It was proof that she had fully expected things to end up like this the moment we arrived at the drive-in theater.
"Stop complaining. You're hurting my ears."
"Wh-what did you just say? You're finally showing your true colors...!"
"Quiet down and watch the movie. It's starting."
"How am I supposed to watch when we're... no, no, no...! Stop...!! What are you doing...!"
Her reaction was incredibly fierce the moment I hiked up her skirt and slid my hand between her legs.
Her bare skin brushed against my arm, and Hiyori gripped my wrist tightly. Her body began to tremble, sending a soft shiver right through me.
"Wait a second...! The movie hasn't even started yet...!"
Why did her panicked voice sound so utterly delightful to my ears?
With that thought in mind, I rested my chin on Hiyori's shoulder.
Then, I reached out and pulled the optional blinds shut over the rear windows, making my intentions perfectly clear.
