Chapter 2541: Story 2542: The Alliance of the Seven

  • Next Chapter

The heavens trembled as Arkanis’s command echoed across the world.

"Guardians of the First Light!"

"The Endless Darkness has awakened!"

The words carried beyond mountains, oceans, frozen wastelands, and forgotten kingdoms. Every ancient ruin bathed in silver light as the five remaining Fallen Guardians altered their course.

They were no longer marching toward destruction.

They were returning home.

On the summit of Blackstone Ridge, every defender watched in silence.

Far across the horizon, colossal silhouettes crossed forests and mountains with astonishing speed. Each step shook the earth, but none carried the hunger of the Devourer.

They carried purpose.

Victoria Kane stood at the edge of the shattered summit.

The Crown of the Black Star shimmered softly, while the Dawnblade burned like the morning sun.

"They’re answering him."

Arkanis’s ancient voice became calm once more.

"No..."

"...they are answering you."

Victoria looked up in surprise.

"Me?"

"You carry the Last Light."

"The promise we believed would one day return."

Before she could answer, the first of the approaching Guardians reached Blackstone Ridge.

The giant emerged from the eastern mountains, carrying a broken spear carved from white crystal. Moss and vines covered his weathered stone armor, while silver rivers of light flowed beneath the cracks across his body.

Without hesitation, he knelt before Victoria.

"I am Vaelor..."

"...Keeper of the Eastern Gate."

A second Guardian soon appeared from the frozen north.

She carried a massive shield of blue crystal that still glimmered beneath layers of ancient ice.

Snow fell gently around her as she lowered herself onto one knee.

"I am Lyssara..."

"...Keeper of the Frozen Sky."

The ground trembled again.

From the western sea rose another giant, water cascading from his broad shoulders as though an ocean walked upon the land.

Then came two more—one from the southern deserts wrapped in golden sandstone, another from forgotten jungles where living trees had grown across his armor.

Finally, the last Guardian emerged from the ruins of an ancient kingdom lost beneath the earth.

Six colossal figures now surrounded Blackstone Ridge.

Together with Arkanis, they completed the Circle of Seven.

Only one remained corrupted.

Kaelor.

The Devourer.

A heavy silence settled over the battlefield.

The restored Guardian Seraphel stepped toward the Devourer.

His voice held neither hatred nor fear.

"Brother..."

"...we have come for you."

The Devourer’s enormous body trembled.

Its silver-black eyes flickered.

For the briefest instant, the endless hunger faded.

A distant memory surfaced.

The name Kaelor echoed deep within his soul.

Then the whisper returned.

"You were abandoned."

"They chained you."

"Destroy them."

Black flames erupted across Kaelor’s obsidian body.

He roared in agony as the Endless Darkness tightened its grip.

The mountain shook violently.

Cracks raced beneath the feet of every Guardian.

Dr. Evelyn Brooks clutched Elias Crow’s journal as fresh golden words appeared across the final unwritten page.

Her voice trembled as she read.

"When the Seven stand together, the Eighth Shadow shall reveal itself. The Last Marshal must choose whether to destroy the fallen brother... or free him. Upon that choice rests the fate of every world touched by the First Light."

Father Gabriel slowly lowered his cross.

"There are other worlds?"

Arkanis closed his eyes.

"Creation is far greater than humanity has ever imagined."

Before anyone could speak again, the endless abyss beneath the Devourer split open.

A colossal figure of living darkness began rising behind him.

It had no face.

No armor.

No wings.

Only an ever-changing body of black void filled with countless crimson eyes that slowly opened across its surface.

The Hollow King stared upward in horror.

"It..."

"...it has found a vessel."

The Voice Beyond Creation echoed across every corner of existence.

"At last..."

"...I no longer need whispers."

The sky itself began to dissolve into darkness as the true form of the Endless Shadow entered the world.
