Hogwarts : I Have the Holy Father System

Chapter 805: Side Story — Cassandra 1

  • Next Chapter

Cassandra hated a classmate at school.

That classmate was called Darren Potter.

She had thought she would have nothing to do with that guy.

Because he was so stupid.

Normally, someone like him would have been completely uninteresting to Cassandra.

But for some reason, she just couldn't stand him.

She hated how he kept running off to Gryffindor.

She also hated how excited he got whenever he heard news about Harry Potter being in Gryffindor, practically jumping three feet into the air.

Especially when Harry Potter came all the way to the Slytherin table to look for him.

Cassandra had worn an utterly bored expression.

A Gryffindor coming to Slytherin for breakfast? What did he think this was? A dream?

She thought nothing of it.

Who could have guessed that the stupid guy would actually stand up?

What?!

Was he really going to the Gryffindor table? Was he crazy?

Cassandra grabbed him by the shoulder.

Hmph! With that tiny body of his, he still wanted to go to Gryffindor? Wasn't he afraid of getting a proper beating from the Slytherins?

She thought with some disgust.

This guy had better behave himself. Otherwise...

She looked up into his eyes, then froze.

Those turquoise eyes were filled with pleading.

Was this guy begging her?

Cassandra felt a little annoyed.

She had known him for so long, yet he had never once looked at her like that. And now, he was doing it because of Harry Potter...

How infuriating!

Cassandra felt as though she hated him even more.

He deserved to be punished.

He should go back and be severely punished by those people until he cried.

That would teach the stupid guy a lesson!

She lowered her hand indignantly and thought.

Then she heard about the guy's background.

He had come from an orphanage?

He had even picked up rotten vegetable leaves to eat?

That was too much!

Cassandra angrily put down her knife and fork.

It wasn't that she was angry because the stupid guy had been abused.

She simply hated Muggles for treating wizards so badly.

No matter how stupid that guy was, he was still a Slytherin wizard.

Even if he wasn't pure-blooded.

She heard that the other Slytherins were a little upset, too.

They must have been thinking the same thing, right?

That guy might be stupid, but they were Slytherins. They couldn't let anyone bully one of their own.

She thought irritably.

However, the moment she returned to the dormitory, she found herself facing a problem: everyone was discussing how to punish the stupid guy.

She was almost the first to raise her hand.

"I'm a first-year prefect! Give me the authority to punish him, and I'll make sure he gets what he deserves!"

"Leave it to you? Won't you go easy on him? I say we should all cast spells on him and make him suffer properly!"

A guy named Flint said gleefully.

His suggestion didn't receive much support. Many of the Slytherins hesitated, apparently having their own thoughts.

Cassandra narrowed her eyes.

Flint actually dared to contradict her?

Hmph! She would give him a proper lesson when she got back that evening!

But she didn't argue with him.

After all, she could tell at a glance that most of them had no intention of actually punishing the stupid guy.

He might have been stupid, but surprisingly, he was quite popular among the Slytherins. These people didn't want him to be punished.

Cassandra felt a little annoyed.

Who on earth liked stupid guys like him?

Couldn't they learn from her and just act coldly toward him?

A group of arrogant Slytherins argued in the common room for a long time. In the end, however, they decided to have someone cast a spell on him as punishment.

They also intended to intimidate the stupid guy with their imposing presence.

They had to teach him not to take the house rules lightly.

Cassandra had originally wanted to refuse, but after thinking about what the guy was capable of, she ultimately said nothing.

That guy did deserve a little punishment, after all.

Did he think Slytherin was his home?

That afternoon, the stupid guy returned in high spirits.

He was carrying a whole bunch of... cookies, right?

Cassandra could barely even recognize what they were supposed to be.

Had those Gryffindors taken him out just to give him that pile of rags?

He might as well have asked her for some instead! She had mountains of sweets and cookies at home. Hmph!

But she still said nothing. She was ready to scare him as they had planned.

Before they could frighten him, however, Malfoy suddenly began laughing at him.

Cassandra was just about to laugh at the stupid guy for failing to read the room when she saw him smile disdainfully.

Damn!

Even Malfoy, who was always mocked for running to his father, wasn't entirely stupid. He had done it on purpose!

He had deliberately interrupted their plan to intimidate the stupid guy.

Cassandra pouted.

As expected, the Slytherins weren't all stupid.

There was only one truly stupid guy among them.

Besides Malfoy's interruption, Betsy, the eldest daughter of the Greengrass family, also disrupted their plan.

The moment she stood up, she began accusing the stupid guy.

After their discussion, they had decided that one person would cast a spell on him as punishment: the Cruciatus Curse.

Cassandra frowned slightly.

The Cruciatus Curse? How could they use that spell?

Besides, hadn't Betsy Greengrass been saved by this stupid guy? How could she cast the Cruciatus Curse on her own saviour?

Something was fishy!

Cassandra rested her chin on her hand.

She stood to one side with an air of superiority, having decided to stay right there and see what they were going to do.

Suddenly, the stupid guy screamed.

Cassandra jumped.

She had actually thought Betsy was going to go through with it. After all, the stupid guy's scream sounded so realistic.

If he was only pretending, she really wouldn't have believed it.

However, when she looked more closely, she noticed that the stupid guy himself seemed rather bewildered.

He appeared to want to say something, but couldn't get the words out.

That should be a Tongue-Tying Curse, right?

Nicely done!

Cassandra felt that she should learn that spell herself. Sometimes, stupid guys needed to have their mouths shut.

Nowadays, whenever she heard the stupid guy and Harry Potter talking nonsense together, she felt a headache coming on.

Just shut him up.

Besides, he was actually quite cute when he kept his mouth closed.

So, some people really were better off keeping quiet.

Cassandra watched as the surrounding Slytherins all scattered.

These people genuinely believed that the stupid guy had been hit with the Cruciatus Curse. How could they have such poor powers of observation?

Of course, to help the stupid guy put on a perfect performance, Cassandra decided to lend a hand for free.

She would help get rid of the people who wanted to stay behind and cast spells on him.

Hmph! It wasn't as though she actually wanted to help the stupid guy.

She just thought his performance was excellent.

To keep acting intelligently for this long... That was quite impressive...
