Chapter 1206 -838: Blood Alliance Formed in the Barn_2

Of course, Grindelwald and Dumbledore had no idea what the owner was thinking. Now, their eyes were only on each other, completely oblivious to anyone else.

Grindelwald took a sip of wine, suppressing the anger in his heart, and asked, “Before that guy came, you said you were planning a trip with your classmates after graduation?”

Kael, lying on the table, twitched his ears, trying to recognize their voices amidst the noisy environment.

“Yes, with Ephias Doge, a trip around the world.” Dumbledore also took a sip of honey wine.

“He wrote several letters to me asking when we would set off, but I think I’ll have to break my promise. I absolutely can’t leave Godric’s Hollow now.”

Grindelwald frowned, appearing somewhat displeased.

“Just because of Abeforth?” Grindelwald said coldly. “He’s a waste; what right does he have to decide what you should do!”

“Don’t say that, Gellert. He’s my brother,” Dumbledore said softly. “And I have other reasons to stay here.”

His voice carried some struggle, and Kael guessed he probably hadn’t told Grindelwald about Arianna, or perhaps didn’t know how to.

In fact, the reason Dumbledore gave up traveling the world was to take care of Arianna.

In September, Abeforth would be starting school, and then the responsibility of taking care of his sister would fall on him.

If an Obscurus were left alone at home, by the time he returned, Godric’s Hollow might be gone.

Dumbledore sighed again.

He didn’t know if telling Grindelwald about Arianna would make him become distant, which is why he hesitated.

After all, in the Magic Realm, Obscurus has always been a taboo, and they hadn’t known each other for long. Dumbledore cherished this friendship, inevitably feeling apprehensive.

But Grindelwald only thought he was upset because he couldn’t travel the world and slammed his glass on the bar, producing a dull thud.

“You’re too accommodating. You have the right to choose what you want to do. You’re Albus Dumbledore, that fool can’t bind you.”

Dumbledore shook his head. What bound him wasn’t Abeforth but responsibility.

“Ha…” Grindelwald drained his wine glass. “Do you remember our decision?”

“Of course.” Dumbledore replied without hesitation: “Liberate wizards, allowing all wizards to live freely in the sunlight.”

Kael twitched his ears again.

“Exactly, but you wouldn’t think just staying in Godric’s Hollow could achieve this ideal, would you?” Grindelwald said solemnly. “We must venture out; only by reaching every corner of the world can we realize this grand ideal.”

His tone was filled with fervor.

“I think it’s time we took the first step.”

“What do you want to do?” Dumbledore asked.

“Head to the highlands south of the valley.” Grindelwald said, “I heard from my aunt that wizards once lived there, and it seems related to what I’ve been searching for…”

At this point, Grindelwald’s voice suddenly quieted, so much that Kael couldn’t hear what he was saying.

“You mean those three items?” Dumbledore asked.

“Exactly… must find them… to fulfill… the dream…”

The voice was intermittent and unclear.

Then a long silence followed.

“We should leave here.” Grindelwald’s voice became clear again, “The time won’t be long; think of it as an attempt.”

Perhaps it was the wine, or maybe because Hogwarts hadn’t started yet, wanting to indulge, Dumbledore agreed to Grindelwald’s proposal after a brief silence.

“Great, let’s depart immediately!”

Grindelwald said excitedly, “But before that, I think we should do something to commemorate this great first step.”

“What is it?”

“I know of a special Magic Contract, perfect for witnessing our friendship.” Grindelwald’s voice carried undisguised excitement. “Follow me…”

He hurriedly left the bar, pulling Dumbledore along.

Kael also lifted his head again.

“Are you awake?” Kode looked over, “What’s with you today? You got drunk after just two drinks.”

“Maybe I didn’t rest well.” Kael said perfunctorily. “I’m heading back; let’s meet again tomorrow.”

“No problem, get lost then.” Kode dismissed him indifferently. “Don’t delay my drinking.”

Kael smiled, stood up, and left the bar.

But he didn’t return upstairs. Instead, he took a roundabout way and followed them out of the bar.

He had a gut feeling that something significant was going to happen tonight. Even if he risks being discovered, he had to witness it himself, or he might regret it for life.

After leaving the bar, Kael quickly walked along a small path, donned the Invisibility Cloak, which was more concealed than magic and difficult to detect.

Five minutes later, he finally saw Dumbledore and Grindelwald in front of him as they arrived at the abandoned barn, pushing open the door and walking inside.

Kael looked around.

Going inside was certainly impossible, even with the protection of the Invisibility Cloak, he would surely be detected. But if he didn’t enter, the barn was surrounded on all sides, and he would have no way of seeing what was happening inside.
