Chapter 1200 -836: Search_2

“Will it work?”

“Let’s give it a try. Killing five wizards in a row, even in Knockturn Alley, is a very gruesome affair. The minister won’t overlook any possibility.”

…

Meanwhile, in Godric’s Hollow.

Kael has already found the Valley Bar that Bathilda Bagshot mentioned.

It’s at the lowest point of the Valley, not far from her home, only a few minutes’ walk away. It’s also one of the most popular places among nearby wizards.

Many people like to come over for a drink during their free time and chat with familiar faces. It’s also the best way to spend leisure time.

When Kael arrived, it was already lunchtime, but the Valley Bar was still packed, lively and bustling.

Kael walked in, his unfamiliar face immediately drawing the attention of many people. They all looked over at him.

However, Kael did not mind and walked straight to the counter, where he found the owner polishing glasses.

“I’d like a room,” he said, then added, “Ms. Bathilda Bagshot sent me.”

Upon hearing Bathilda’s name, the previously indifferent owner immediately looked up.

“Bathilda… are you also her great-nephew?” The owner scrutinized Kael, finally focusing on his black hair.

“No…” Kael shook his head, “I just arrived in Godric’s Hollow today, a student who likes magic history.”

“Oh!” The owner nodded in realization, “No wonder, it’s rare to find a wizard with the same interests as her.”

He handed a key to Kael, “Your room is on the second floor, it’s just on the left when you go up. How long will you be staying?”

“Tentatively a month,” Kael thought for a moment and said.

“Payment in full, you’ll need to pay me ninety Sickles.”

“Ninety Sickles?” Kael thought he must have misheard.

Not too expensive, but too cheap.

Calculating, it was only three Sickles a day. Even a hundred years ago, this price was low enough for Kael to think he had checked into a shady place.

Is Bathilda’s name really that influential?

Though puzzled, Kael still took out six Galleons and handed them to the owner.

“Use the remainder to get me lunch, if there’s any here.”

“That’s too much,” the owner said.

“Then include lunch for tomorrow,”

This time, the owner said no more.

Kael took the key and went upstairs, opening the room on the left.

The environment here was much better than he imagined, although small, everything was remarkably new. If placed in Diagon Alley’s Leaky Cauldron, such a room would cost at least two Galleons a day.

Of course, that was at the Leaky Cauldron of his time.

Kael pulled out his wand, gently tapped it, and a bubble-like circular ripple quickly spread out to the surroundings, extending to the ceiling upon touching the walls.

Seeking Spell, a minor charm learned in the fourth year, used to check items or creatures related to Dark Magic within a certain range.

After confirming the room was safe, Kael relaxed and sat on the chair.

At this moment, lunch was brought over.

In a place like this, a big meal was out of the question, only a very standard meal was provided.

Fried fish, fried potato strips, baked whole potatoes with skin, boiled mashed potatoes, a piece of buttered bread, and a bottle of pumpkin juice.

The taste was mediocre, the potato strips were too thick, still raw inside, and the mashed potatoes were true to their name, with potatoes and dirt.

But Kael didn’t find it surprising; after all, it’s 1899, this was quite normal, even a hundred years later it would still be at this standard.

In places with more wizards… like the Leaky Cauldron or the Three Broomsticks, they might pay a little more attention to quality.

Kael took a few bites, filled his stomach, then left the room, returning to Godric’s Hollow.

He needed to find the barn that Grindelwald told him about in advance.

According to Nicolas, Dumbledore would suddenly appear at a certain point in time, at the place he deemed most suitable.

All Kael needed to do was take him away immediately when the time came. Over two months, no one knew how many times Dumbledore had done the same thing here. Even the greatest White Wizard’s mind must be nearing its limit.

That is assuming he hasn’t done anything, attempting to alter the events that have already occurred, the exhaustion would only be greater.

Kael returned to the previous location, deliberately avoiding Bathilda’s house this time, ensuring he wasn’t seen again.

He walked further ahead and finally found the legendary barn on a concealed hillside.

It indeed had been abandoned for a long time. As soon as he entered, a stench of rotting straw wafted up, and everywhere there were grass aphids and Doxies… this place had practically become a haven for these pests.

Unfortunately, Kael didn’t see Professor Dumbledore here nor did he find any traces of his presence.

“Of course, there wouldn’t be,” Kael shook his head.

He had arrived earlier than Dumbledore, so there couldn’t be any traces of him yet.

Kael walked to the middle of the barn and looked up at the only window above.

The window was small, offering a limited view, but it directly faced the attic of a house, matching all the characteristics.

Grindelwald had mentioned, that attic belonged to Dumbledore’s home, where Arianna lived long-term, as there was no alternative.

As an Obscurus, if Arianna was triggered by external stimuli, she was likely to release her Obscurus.
