Ian’s eyes gleamed with excitement. The knowledge system recorded in the book was both vastly different from and yet marvelously similar to the European Alchemy and Demonology he had learned, constantly sparking intellectual fireworks. Many of the problems he had encountered in Alchemy Experiments found a completely different solution here.

Many conjectures about the interaction between the human body and Magic Energy also received systematic validation and expansion here. Indeed, although it sounds somewhat unethical, the truth is, in places where there isn’t much morality, knowledge related to the human body can be summarized and updated quickly.

The progress of medicine arises from human experimentation, and the advancement of human Alchemy is naturally similar to medicine, so whether it’s Africa or Country A or other chaotic places, such disciplines progress faster than in more civilized areas; after all, many people disappearing isn’t considered a big deal in Africa.

Places like these are entirely breeding grounds for Dark Wizards.

Of course.

Magic itself possesses no morality.

Ian still believes it depends on the person using Magic.

He was particularly shocked by the idea of directly engraving Magic onto the Life Origin.

“Luckily, I have a firm heart and no impulse to join the ranks of Dark Wizards.”

The library at Hogwarts is truly a treasure of the Magic Realm, and Hogwarts’ Magic Potion and Transformation Technique are also of the highest level, but in the specific and dangerous field of “human Alchemy,” especially in the gentle path aiming to enhance rather than transform, Africa has evidently forged its own unique and profoundly deep course.

“Indeed, every region has its focal direction and hidden talents,” Ian murmured to himself, with a deeper awe for the diversity and vastness of the Magic World. He previously thought that as a Legendary Mage, he was already at the pinnacle of knowledge.

Now, it seems like seeing a leopard through a narrow hole.

“Learn! Learn fiercely!”

Time flew by in focused study.

The magical light ball outside the window gradually dimmed, simulating the arrival of nightfall. When Ian felt his eyes slightly ache and finally looked up from the sea of books, he realized it was already late at night.

Reluctantly, he closed the book and carefully put it away. Although it was only a preliminary reading, the abundance of harvest was worth several years of self-exploration. He felt as if he had opened a completely new door in Alchemy, especially in the direction of combining the human body with Magic.

The system panel, which hadn’t appeared for a long time, also made its presence felt today. Ian used Magic to simply clean himself and lay down on the bed. Although weary in body, his brain was exceptionally active due to absorbing so much new knowledge. He closed his eyes, trying to calm his thoughts, and gradually drifted into slumber.

The dream arrived as expected.

Of course, it wasn’t the Misty Dream Realm.

It was just a very ordinary dream.

“What an oddity, this time it’s actually a lucid dream.” Ian found himself flying over the vast African savannah. The night sky was crystal clear, the galaxy low-hanging, seemingly within reach.

Below lay vast and mysterious lands, with night winds rustling over plains taller than a person, producing a gentle sound akin to the Earth’s deep breaths.

The dream was incredibly realistic. He could feel the chill of the night wind, smell the scent of soil, grass, and distant acacia trees, and hear the various sounds emitted by the nocturnal creatures—hyenas’ distant howls, lion prides’ deep growls, and the chorus of countless insects.

While flying, Ian took in everything below, seeing herds of impalas cautiously moving under the moonlight, noticing a lonely elephant meandering slowly, its massive ears like fans flapping. Naturally, he also saw many Magic Creatures, like a beautiful purple Poison Horned Beast gnawing on glowing mushrooms.

A few Diricawls suddenly sprang from the grass, disappearing instantly; even on distant hills, there seemed to be the silhouette of the extremely rare Invisible Beast slowly moving.

This is truly a rare species.

In “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,” it is recorded that the Invisible Beast is an extremely rare and mysterious Magic Creature, with its rarity rated at Level XXXX.

The Invisible Beast naturally possesses perfect invisibility, and its fur can change color to match the environment, ultimately becoming entirely transparent, making them almost impossible to be seen in their natural habitat.

Only experienced Wizards can discover and safely approach them. They are gentle by nature but turn highly defensive when threatened.

Of course.

These aren’t the reasons the Invisible Beast has become rare.

The most precious part of the Invisible Beast is their fur.

This fur is one of the top materials for crafting Invisibility Cloaks, whose effects are superb and extremely durable, far surpassing the invisibility effects of ordinary magical weaving.

As the saying goes, having treasure can be a curse.

Due to its perfect invisibility ability, gentle but hard-to-approach nature, and high magical value, the Invisible Beast was considered nearly extinct in Ian’s time.

How to put it, it’s akin to everyone hearing that a certain creature can enhance virility, and indeed someone has tried it and confirmed it enhances virility, this creature quickly becomes endangered.

The plight of the Invisible Beast is somewhat similar. Of course, since this was during the active times of Voldemort, it was still several decades away from Ian’s era.
