Chapter 1259: Ian's Guidance_3

“‘Guidance?'”

“Imagine your Magic Power, not as a hammer, but as water.” Ian closed his eyes, as the golden flow blessed by the Sun God slowly surged within him, “Water doesn’t collide harshly with a rock; instead, it seeks gaps, infiltrates, envelops, assimilates. Your Magic Power should be the same.”

He raised his hand, and a soft ball of golden light coalesced in his palm: “When inscribing, first use an extremely subtle magic probe to ‘sense’ the natural texture of the bone and the magic channels, then… follow the texture, gently guide it, allowing the rune to ‘grow’ inside, rather than be ’embedded.'”

His fingertips lightly tapped the void, and the ball of golden light seeped into the runes of the light traces as if it were alive, without any obstruction.

Enlightenment! True enlightenment!

After a long while, Caleb finally snapped out of the tremendous shock and enlightenment. His gaze towards Ian had long surpassed mere reverence, evolving into something akin to the worship of wisdom itself. He stepped back, adjusted his robe, and then bowed deeply and solemnly to Ian.

This time, Ian didn’t stop him.

After all, Ian understood the value of his guidance. It’s important to know that for most Wizards, gaining insight from a Legend is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

This is akin to a fantasy novel where the Celestial Emperor descends, potentially altering a cultivator’s life forever.

“Thank you for Your Majesty’s guidance!” Caleb’s voice was choked with emotion, “Your few words surpass my century of contemplation! Not only have you solved the subtle flaws that have troubled me for years, but you’ve also pointed a safer, broader path for the skills of our lineage! This kindness… this kindness…”

He was so overwhelmed he didn’t know how to express his gratitude. Suddenly, as if firm in a resolve, he turned and quickly walked to a cabinet at the deepest part of the store, secured with multiple Magic Locks, carefully retrieving an ancient book, wrapped in unknown beast skin, its edges worn.

Holding the book with both hands, he returned to Ian, his gaze incredibly sincere: “Your Majesty, it’s our honor that you are interested in the skills of our lineage. This ‘Secret Bone Text’ is a copy passed down by my ancestors, documenting the fundamental principles and some core Magic Runes of our lineage’s Finger Bone Key Engraving, and even more advanced Body Inscription Techniques. Although somewhat superficial, it might… it might provide some different thoughts for your research.”

Seeing the evidently time-honored book, filled with a sense of historical depth, Ian paused slightly and shook his head, saying: “This is too precious, the legacy treasure of your family, how can I…”

“Your Majesty!” Caleb interrupted urgently, his tone determined, “Please, you must accept it! Knowledge can only manifest true Life Force through exchange! If it remains with me, it might eventually gather dust with time. But if it can illuminate the path of a Legend, even providing a tiny inspiration, that would be an unending glory for our lineage!”

His gaze was fervent, filled with dedication and expectation: “Please fulfill this small wish of mine!”

Ian looked at Caleb’s incredibly sincere and persistent eyes, then glanced at the beast-skin book exuding ancient wisdom, remaining silent for a moment.

Ultimately, he solemnly extended both hands and took the ‘Secret Bone Text.’

“Since it’s so, I shall accept it. Thank you for your gift, Master Caleb. This wisdom, I shall never let it gather dust.” Ian spoke, mimicking the tone of a fantasy novel protagonist.
