High Martial: I Use Everything as Swords
Chapter 490 - 312: The Spatial Superimposition Mystery: The Weaver Reappears
"Elder Chen, could it be..."
Han Feng mused, "that the space in that cavern is inherently unstable?
And that when we enter at different times, we’re actually connecting to two different places?"
On the other end of the screen, Chen Beixuan was visibly stunned for a moment before a look of realization dawned on his face.
"Coincidentally, that’s the same guess that bunch of frauds from Kunlun made—the ones who claim to have Mastery in divination Arrays.
They call it ’Spatial Overlap.’ They say the location might simultaneously contain multiple ’planar slices’ that switch under specific conditions."
A thought struck Han Feng. "Then did they say where that cavern with the murals is?"
"They speculate it’s on the edge of the Dragon Abyss World. A ruin from the Ancient Giant Civilization."
Chen Beixuan’s expression grew solemn. "That’s the most troublesome part."
Han Feng fell silent.
’A stronghold capable of switching between spaces at will, connecting ancient ruins to the real world... and the Children of the Mist are behind it all.’
’The methods of these lunatics were even more bizarre than he had imagined.’
"I understand,"
Han Feng said, "Those people left behind a cavern that produces Divine Soul Crystals.
They probably weren’t scared off by me at all. It was bait they left intentionally."
’He’d thought his Soul-Burning Thread technique was so impressive, that he’d forced the mastermind to retreat.’
’Thinking about it now, it was simply laughable.’
’If they truly had the means to manipulate space, they could have killed him with a flick of a finger. Why would they fear a mere Enlightenment Realm cultivator like him?’
’They must have left on purpose.’
’Using a "Treasure Land" that could endlessly produce Cultivation Resources to attract the attention of all the major powers, drawing everyone into their game.’
’As for their ultimate goal... Han Feng couldn’t figure it out.’
But the sheer scale of their operation was enough to send a chill down his spine.
"I’m impressed you figured that out."
Chen Beixuan nodded in approval. "I’ve already reported this to the council. How to handle it from here is their headache now."
"Oh, and two more things," Chen Beixuan said, his tone shifting.
"First, the Speaker just issued an internal notice. Intense spatial fluctuations were detected in the wilderness dozens of miles outside East Sea City, indicating the presence of an unidentified expert.
Although they don’t seem to have any malicious intent, their power is unfathomable.
You should lie low for a while. Don’t go running around, or you might bump into them."
The corner of Han Feng’s eye twitched. He cleared his throat. "Ahem... Understood. I’ll be sure to keep a low profile."
’Isn’t he talking about me? It seems my advancement to Sword Master really did cause an absurd amount of disturbance.’
"The second thing is about those Divine Soul Crystals."
Chen Beixuan’s expression turned serious. "Although the research institute has run multiple tests and the Speaker himself has confirmed it, the energy is incredibly pure, with no obvious backdoors.
But considering the bizarre methods of the Children of the Mist, we’ve reached a consensus: it’s best to be cautious when using them."
"If you still have any yourself, do your best not to use them.
Those lunatics don’t do charity. If something seems too good to be true, it’s usually a trap."
"I understand," Han Feng nodded solemnly.
This aligned perfectly with his own suspicions.
’He was already on high alert about the first item the system had ever rated with "??".’
After ending the call, Han Feng sat alone in the Quiet Chamber, lost in thought.
Chen Beixuan’s reminder amplified the faint sense of unease in his heart.
He held out his hand, and a brilliant golden Divine Soul Crystal materialized in his palm.
Under the serene blue light of the Quiet Chamber, it radiated an alluring glow, its internal Energy pure and immense.
Han Feng activated his newly integrated and upgraded [Eye of Insight].
In his vision, the crystal’s attribute panel materialized. It was no different from what he’d seen with [All Things Identification]: "A pure aggregate of Divine Soul Origin."
He frowned. ’Something is still off.’
A thought suddenly flashed through his mind.
His figure flickered, and in an instant, he vanished from the Quiet Chamber and entered the [Sword Tomb Space].
This was his absolute domain, a higher-dimensional space completely cut off from the real world.
’Here, perhaps, he could see something different.’
Han Feng’s gaze fell upon the Divine Soul Crystal in his hand once more.
This time, within the vision of his [Eye of Insight], the crystal’s interior was no longer pure gold.
Deep within that brilliant, golden sea of Energy, he saw it.
He saw a wisp... a grayish-black aura, almost imperceptible to the naked eye and ten thousand times finer than a strand of hair.
The aura was exceedingly faint and ethereal, looking as if it might dissipate at any moment.
Yet it persisted stubbornly, like a poisoned stinger embedded in the very depths of the golden sea.
If it weren’t for the completely isolated environment of the [Sword Tomb Space],
combined with the enhanced capabilities of his [Eye of Insight], he would have never discovered this anomaly!
Han Feng’s pupils contracted violently.
’This aura... He recognized it!’
’Or rather, it was a feeling he would never forget for the rest of his life!’
It was the same chaotic and malevolent Will from a higher dimension that had emanated from the colossal, blood-red eye in the Suspended Mountain Secret Realm just before it collapsed.
’Weaver!’
’Although this wisp of aura was incredibly faint, its essence was identical to that of the Eye of the Blood Sea!’
Han Feng’s back was instantly drenched in cold sweat.
