High Martial: I Use Everything as Swords
Chapter 489 - 312: The Spatial Superimposition Mystery: The Weaver Reappears
Ye Daoyuan’s fingertips traced the "seam" where the ground met the surrounding, normal landscape.
He could clearly feel an extremely subtle difference between the spatial laws here and those of the outside world.
It was as if a piece had been forcibly carved out of a jigsaw puzzle.
Then, the hole was filled with a building block that looked similar but was made of a completely different material.
Though the surface was perfectly seamless, its fundamental nature had been altered.
For the first time, a grave expression appeared on his face.
’This is absolutely not something an ordinary Celestial Human Realm expert could do.’
It even surpassed his understanding of "power."
This wasn’t destruction. It was... carving.
To carve out a spherical space with a 350-meter radius, along with all the matter within it, completely and silently from the real world.
’What a terrifying ability!’
’If this kind of power were used on East Sea Fortress City...’
Ye Daoyuan didn’t dare to let his thoughts go further.
He stood up, his Divine Thought spreading out like the most precise scanner, inch by inch sweeping over every piece of land and every speck of dust for dozens of miles.
However, he found nothing.
There was no aura left behind, no residual Energy.
The being that had caused all this was like a Ghost, arriving without a shadow and leaving without a trace.
After a long while, Ye Daoyuan finally withdrew his Divine Thought. He looked up at the sky, as if searching for an answer in the endless firmament.
In the end, he said nothing. His figure flashed once more and vanished over the horizon.
Inside the Sword Tomb Space, Han Feng let out a long breath, feeling his back was a little damp with sweat.
"Phew, I was almost caught red-handed."
Just now, when Ye Daoyuan’s Divine Thought had swept past the space he was hiding in, he had even felt the Sword Tomb Space tremble slightly.
’Thank goodness System products are always top-notch.’
’The level of this space was high enough that it managed to go undetected.’
"That was a mistake. I made way too much of a scene."
Han Feng scratched his head, feeling a little regretful.
If he had known his promotion would be so dramatic, he would have flown a few hundred miles away to an uninhabited area.
But no, he had to perform a "spatial magic trick" right under the nose of a major figure. He had probably scared the hell out of that Chairman.
But on second thought, maybe this wasn’t so bad.
’Let them guess.’
’After all, no one would ever imagine that the one who caused such a huge commotion was just a "tiny," newly promoted Sword Master.’
Han Feng hid in the space for another ten-odd minutes, making sure Ye Daoyuan didn’t double back, before carefully leaving.
As his feet touched the wilderness soil again, he immediately activated his Escapee Type II·Shadow Spirit Armor.
Dark silver armor covered his entire body, and he pushed the [Phantom Stealth] function to its maximum.
His figure grew blurry and transparent in the air before vanishing completely, not leaking even a trace of his aura.
Instead of returning the way he came, he chose a different direction, taking a wide detour as he stealthily made his way toward East Sea Fortress City.
Moving stealthily the entire way, Han Feng slipped back into East Sea Fortress City as silently as a nonexistent Ghost.
Without alerting anyone, he went straight back to Villa No. 9.
As soon as he walked in, the butler, Old Liu, came up to him with a somewhat peculiar expression.
"Sir, you’re finally back. Vice Dean Chen sent someone over. He said to contact him immediately upon your return, it’s urgent."
"Elder Chen?" Han Feng was taken aback. How long had he been gone? A few hours at the very most. "Alright, I understand."
He didn’t ask any more questions and walked straight to the underground Quiet Chamber, simultaneously initiating a communication request on his Tinder Terminal.
A screen of light popped up, and Chen Beixuan’s old face appeared almost instantly. The background was still that familiar office.
"Kid, I finally got ahold of you. There’s something strange I need to ask you about." Chen Beixuan wasted no time and got straight to the point.
"The people from Jiangbei City are going crazy. They had someone from Kunlun Holy City pass on a message. They absolutely must confirm something with you."
Han Feng muttered to himself, ’Jiangbei City? Don’t tell me they’re here to demand compensation for emotional distress?’
"Elder Chen, go ahead."
"They’re asking if you saw any murals depicting giants in that cavern beneath Broken Star Reef.
And... about their missing Titan Battle Armor." Chen Beixuan’s tone was very serious.
The question took Han Feng by surprise as well.
He recalled for a moment, then answered:
"The first time, I was worried about Zhao Tianlan’s safety, so I didn’t enter the cavern. But I did see their Battle Armor."
"But when I went back the second time, the place was licked clean. There was nothing left."
"I originally thought that group from the Children of the Mist had cleaned it out," Han Feng added.
"That’s where the problem lies."
Chen Beixuan tapped the table. "The people from Jiangbei City say their personnel saw the murals, and they even have video recordings of them.
But the strange thing is, they can’t find any evidence now. Even the records in their data black boxes are blank, as if an invisible hand has erased everything."
"They suspect they fell for some extremely sophisticated Illusion Technique, so they want to verify it with you, the only ’outsider’."
Hearing this, Han Feng’s brows furrowed tightly.
He was certain that when he entered the cavern the second time, the rock walls were bare. There were no murals at all.
However, the people from Jiangbei City had no reason to lie about something like this, especially not by making such a big deal and relaying the message through Kunlun.
The only explanation was that what they saw and what he saw were not the same scene at all!
After his promotion to Sword Master, Han Feng’s understanding of Space was on a completely different level.
He possessed the [Sword Tomb Space], which could carve out reality itself, so naturally, he had a deeper understanding of other spatial phenomena.
