Heretic Trainer: The Gym Is My Cultivation Method
Chapter 805: Everyone’s Playing Chess Except Garion
BOOOOOOOOM!
Ten overwhelming divine auras collided across the enormous arena, causing the surrounding space to tremble violently.
However, despite their terrifying presence, none of the candidates immediately attacked.
After all, everyone understood the dangers of a battle royale.
Even if someone managed to defeat an opponent, the remaining eight could easily take advantage of their weakened condition.
The muscular saber wielder, Kaedros, rested his enormous blade against his shoulder while carefully observing the others.
Meanwhile, Nyxara stood near the edge of the arena, her slender figure gradually becoming indistinguishable from the surrounding shadows.
Elysara, a beautiful woman with pale-blue hair, quietly raised her fingers as several small crystalline constructs materialized around her.
The six-winged Seraphiel remained suspended in the air, her golden eyes calmly examining the battlefield.
As for Asterion, he simply stood with his hands behind his back, seemingly unconcerned.
Garion looked between them before scratching his head. "Oi, what’s wrong with you bastards? Didn’t we come here to fight?"
Nobody answered.
Garion’s eyebrow twitched. "Seriously? We’re just going to stand around staring at each other?"
A deep laugh suddenly echoed across the arena. "Hehehe... You’re an interesting human."
Garion turned toward the enormous horned demon standing several hundred meters away.
Azrakar grinned, revealing two rows of terrifying fangs. "Most people would prefer to avoid fighting someone like me. Yet you’re practically begging for it."
Garion immediately grinned back. "HAHAHA! Of course! What’s the point of joining a competition if nobody wants to fight?"
Azrakar’s demonic eyes narrowed. "Then perhaps I should entertain you."
Garion cracked his knuckles. "Hehehe! Now we’re talking!"
BOOOOOOM!
Azrakar suddenly kicked off the ground, his enormous body accelerating toward Garion like a crimson meteor.
Garion immediately charged forward.
KABOOOOOOOM!
Their fists collided.
A terrifying shockwave spread across the arena, causing enormous cracks to appear beneath their feet.
Azrakar’s expression changed slightly. "Oh? You’ve got some strength!"
Garion laughed. "HAHAHA! YOU TOO, BIG GUY!"
Azrakar immediately threw another punch.
Garion ducked beneath it before driving his knee toward the demon’s abdomen.
BAAAAAANG!
The impact forced Azrakar backward several steps.
However, the demon merely grinned. "Hehehe! Excellent!"
Crimson demonic energy erupted from his body as he swung his enormous arm toward Garion’s head.
Garion raised his forearm.
CLAAAAANG!
The collision sent him sliding backward.
Before either could continue, a calm voice suddenly interrupted. "Your movements are far too wasteful."
SWOOOSH!
A muscular man carrying an enormous saber appeared between them.
Kaedros.
Azrakar immediately frowned. "Who invited you?"
Kaedros ignored him and turned toward Garion. "You possess excellent physical strength, but your stance leaves several unnecessary openings."
Garion blinked. "Huh? Are you seriously giving me fighting advice right now?"
Kaedros nodded. "Yes. Your foot placement is inefficient."
Garion stared at him for a moment before bursting into laughter. "HAHAHA! ALRIGHT! THEN SHOW ME HOW IT’S DONE!"
He immediately threw a powerful straight punch.
Kaedros calmly shifted his body.
SWISH!
The fist passed beside his shoulder.
Using a subtle rotation of his wrist, Kaedros redirected Garion’s momentum before delivering a sharp palm strike toward his ribs.
BANG!
Garion staggered slightly. "Ohhh?"
Kaedros stepped backward, maintaining a perfectly balanced stance. "Your strength is impressive. However, strength without proper control is easily exploited."
Garion’s grin widened. "Hehehe! Not bad, old man!"
Kaedros frowned. "I’m not that old."
Garion laughed. "HAHAHA! THEN STOP TALKING LIKE MY MARTIAL ARTS TEACHER!"
Azrakar suddenly roared. "ENOUGH TALKING!"
BOOOOOOM!
The demon charged toward both of them, his enormous fists covered in crimson energy.
Kaedros immediately stepped aside, avoiding the first attack.
Garion ducked beneath the second.
However, just as Azrakar prepared another punch, Kaedros suddenly struck his wrist.
BANG!
The demon’s attack was redirected toward the ground.
Garion seized the opening.
[Graviton: Singularity Knuckles!]
BAAAAAANG!
His fist struck Azrakar’s abdomen, releasing concentrated gravitational force through direct contact.
The demon was blasted backward, crashing through several layers of the arena’s reinforced flooring.
BOOOOOOM!
For a moment, Garion and Kaedros stood facing each other.
Garion chuckled. "Hehehe! Looks like we make a pretty good team!"
Kaedros shook his head. "That was merely coincidence."
Garion grinned. "HAHAHA! Sure, whatever you say!"
However, neither noticed that the surrounding shadows had begun moving unnaturally.
Far behind them, Nyxara’s figure silently disappeared.
Meanwhile, Elysara continued constructing an elaborate network of crystalline structures around her position.
Several floating shields, spears, and enormous mechanical guardians gradually materialized from concentrated divine energy.
She glanced toward the three fighters before smiling faintly.
"Let those fools exhaust themselves. There’s no reason to waste my strength yet."
On the opposite side, Veyron stood with his arms crossed, his sharp green eyes carefully studying the ongoing battle.
His physique possessed an unusual ability.
Every injury and every combat experience could stimulate genuine physical evolution.
Naturally, he wasn’t interested in fighting recklessly.
He wanted to understand his opponents first.
Meanwhile, Tharion, a towering man covered in magnificent golden armor, suddenly grew impatient. "Hmph! What a pathetic spectacle!"
He raised his enormous divine spear. "Are you all planning to hide until the competition ends?"
Seraphiel slowly turned toward him. "Recklessness isn’t courage, Tharion."
Tharion sneered. "And hiding behind caution isn’t strength, woman."
Seraphiel’s expression remained composed. "You misunderstand. I’m simply choosing my battles carefully."
Tharion laughed. "Then allow me to make that decision for you!"
BOOOOOOM!
He suddenly charged toward her.
However, before his spear could reach Seraphiel, an enormous golden barrier appeared between them.
CLAAAAANG!
The impact created a tremendous shockwave.
Seraphiel raised one delicate hand.
[Divine Authority: Sacred Judgment!]
Countless golden runes materialized around Tharion, releasing overwhelming divine pressure.
The armored warrior immediately gritted his teeth. "Trying to suppress me?"
He clenched his spear.
[Heavenly Conquest Body!]
WOOOOOM!
His divine aura suddenly intensified.
The longer he maintained his offensive momentum, the stronger his physique became.
Tharion grinned. "HAHAHA! GOOD! KEEP PUSHING ME!"
Seraphiel narrowed her eyes.
"His power increases during sustained combat. Interesting."
She immediately adjusted her position, refusing to confront him recklessly.
Meanwhile, Garion suddenly noticed the enormous golden explosion occurring across the arena.
His eyes brightened. "HAHAHA! LOOKS LIKE EVERYONE’S FINALLY STARTING!"
Azrakar emerged from the shattered ground, his crimson eyes glowing fiercely. "Human, our fight isn’t finished."
Garion turned toward him. "Hehehe! Of course not!"
Kaedros slowly raised his saber. "Then perhaps we should settle this properly."
Garion glanced between the two before grinning. "HAHAHA! TWO AGAINST ONE? SOUNDS FUN!"
Azrakar immediately growled. "Who said we’re teaming up against you?"
Garion shrugged. "Then it’s every bastard for himself!"
BOOOOOOM!
The three charged toward one another.
However, at that exact moment, an extraordinary wave of divine energy suddenly erupted from the center of the arena.
KABOOOOOOOOOM!
An enormous golden spear of light tore through the battlefield, passing between the three fighters before exploding against the distant ground.
Garion immediately stopped.
Azrakar raised his arms defensively.
Even Kaedros was forced to retreat several steps.
The three turned toward the source.
Far away, Tharion stood beneath an enormous golden manifestation, his divine spear radiating terrifying power.
Seraphiel hovered opposite him, surrounded by countless sacred runes.
Their confrontation had already escalated into a devastating battle.
Garion slowly grinned. "Hehehe... Now that’s more like it."
Above the arena, the Creator of All Systems leaned forward on her magnificent throne, clearly delighted.
[Ahahaha! Wonderful! You’re finally getting started!]
She crossed her legs comfortably.
[Now then, my adorable candidates... let’s see who will be the first to fall!]
The entire arena trembled as the ten finalists finally began revealing their true abilities.
And the battle royale had only just begun.
