Heretic Trainer: The Gym Is My Cultivation Method
Chapter 791: Nine Kills One Hell of a Workout
The silver-skinned warrior was the first to move, his divine markings glowing as he rushed toward Velion.
BOOOOM!
Velion immediately responded with a powerful punch, striking the warrior directly in the chest.
CRACK!
The impact shattered several ribs, but before Velion could follow up, the warrior’s injuries rapidly healed.
"Hehehe! Impressive regeneration!" Velion chuckled, preparing another attack.
However, the enormous war general suddenly appeared between them.
[Unbreakable War Fortress!]
BAAAAAANG!
Velion’s fist slammed into his massive tower shield, producing a thunderous explosion.
Unlike the previous opponents, the general barely moved.
"Hmph! Your physical strength is impressive, demon!" the general growled, pushing his shield forward. "But you’ll have to try harder than that!"
Velion immediately spread his wings and retreated, avoiding the general’s enormous hammer.
Unfortunately, the priestess was already waiting.
[Sacred Binding Chains!]
Several magnificent golden chains erupted from her staff, wrapping around Velion’s arms and wings. "Oh?"
Before Velion could break free, the silver-skinned warrior appeared behind him.
BANG! BANG!
Two devastating punches struck his back.
Velion grunted, but immediately twisted his body and smashed his tail into the warrior’s face.
CRACK!
The warrior staggered backward, his broken jaw rapidly regenerating.
Meanwhile, the priestess raised her staff.
[Supreme Divine Purification!]
Brilliant golden radiance descended upon Velion, burning away the demonic corruption surrounding his body.
Velion narrowed his eyes slightly. "So that’s how you’re planning to fight me."
The three opponents exchanged confident smiles.
The silver-skinned warrior chuckled. "Exactly! Your curses are useless against my regeneration!"
The priestess nodded. "And my purification can cleanse whatever corruption you manage to inflict."
The general raised his shield. "Meanwhile, I’ll make sure you never reach either of them!"
Velion smiled faintly. "Hehehe... Interesting combination."
However, the battle had only just begun.
BOOOOOOM!
Velion suddenly snapped the golden chains apart and launched himself toward the priestess.
But before he could reach her, the general intercepted him.
CLAAAAANG!
His enormous shield collided with Velion’s fist, blocking his advance.
The silver-skinned warrior immediately attacked from behind, forcing Velion to twist sideways.
Velion retaliated with a spinning kick, but the priestess quickly raised another barrier.
BANG!
His kick shattered the barrier, yet the priestess had already retreated.
Then Velion noticed something.
Whenever he approached one opponent, the other two immediately interfered.
And whenever he managed to land a successful strike, the damage was either regenerated or purified.
For the first time since entering the arena, Velion was being forced onto the defensive.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Several powerful attacks struck his body, sending him sliding backward across the arena.
The silver-skinned warrior suddenly grinned. "Wait a moment... I’ve noticed something!"
The other two glanced toward him.
He pointed at Velion. "Every attack this demon has used involves physical contact!"
The priestess narrowed her eyes. "You’re right. He hasn’t released a single long-range attack!"
The general immediately understood. "HAHAHA! Then we simply need to keep our distance!"
Without hesitation, they changed their strategy.
The priestess flew high above the battlefield, releasing countless golden spears.
The silver-skinned warrior began launching concentrated blasts of divine bloodline energy.
Meanwhile, the general remained between Velion and his companions, constantly forcing him backward with enormous shockwaves.
BOOOOOOM!
Velion dodged several attacks using his wings, but the continuous bombardment made approaching increasingly difficult.
From the observation platforms, the three opposing candidates noticed the same weakness.
The silver-robed woman rubbed her chin thoughtfully. "Interesting... That demon possesses extraordinary physical abilities, but apparently lacks ranged attacks."
The crimson-armored candidate narrowed his eyes. "Could his cultivation system be entirely focused on physical strength?"
The golden-crowned elder nodded slowly. "Perhaps. We should remember this when dealing with his master."
Meanwhile, Atlas frowned.
[Tch! They’ve figured out the main limitation of God Physique users!]
Garion merely crossed his arms, watching the battlefield with an amused smile. "Hehehe! Well, it’s not like we were planning to hide it forever."
Rachel glanced toward Velion with concern. "Still, darling, he’s being pushed back quite badly."
Garion chuckled. "Yeah, but look at his expression."
Rachel followed his gaze.
Despite suffering several injuries, Velion was smiling.
BOOOOOOM!
Another enormous explosion engulfed him.
When the smoke cleared, Velion stood inside a shattered crater, his crimson skin covered in burns and wounds.
The priestess raised her staff triumphantly. "See? Without your curses and close-combat abilities, you’re nothing!"
Velion slowly straightened his back and began laughing. "Hehehe... Hahaha!"
The three opponents frowned, clearly irritated by his reaction.
"What’s so funny?!" the general demanded angrily.
Velion rolled his shoulders, his smile widening. "Nothing. I’m just happy."
He clenched his fists, his crimson eyes glowing intensely. "It’s been a while since someone actually pushed me this far!"
Suddenly, an overwhelming demonic aura erupted from his body.
[Abyssal Berserk!]
KABOOOOOOOM!
Dark crimson energy exploded outward, shattering the surrounding ground.
Velion’s muscular body rapidly expanded, his horns becoming longer and sharper while his wings grew enormous.
Black demonic markings spread across his crimson skin, and his tail thickened into a terrifying weapon.
His physical presence alone made the entire arena tremble.
The three opponents stared in horror.
"What... What the hell is that?!"
Velion slowly raised his head.
Despite his monstrous appearance, his expression remained perfectly calm. "Hehehe... This is my berserk transformation."
He flexed his claws and grinned confidently. "Don’t worry, I can still control myself. Well, at least my mind! As for my power, that’s a different story, so you’d better be careful!"
BOOOOOOM!
In the very next moment, Velion disappeared from his position, moving so fast that the general barely managed to raise his shield in time.
CRAAAAACK!
Velion’s fist smashed straight through the supposedly unbreakable defense, sending the general flying.
The silver-skinned warrior immediately charged forward, but Velion grabbed his face with one enormous hand.
BAAAAAANG!
He slammed the warrior into the ground before delivering another devastating punch.
However, the warrior’s regeneration desperately struggled to keep him alive.
The priestess screamed and unleashed her strongest purification technique.
[Heavenly Judgment: Eternal Purification!]
A gigantic golden pillar descended from above.
At the same moment, the heavily injured general activated his ultimate defensive technique, while the silver-skinned warrior burned his entire bloodline to release a devastating final attack.
Velion looked toward the three overwhelming powers converging upon him and grinned. "Excellent!"
He lowered his stance, gathering every remaining ounce of strength into his demonic physique.
"THEN LET’S FINISH THIS!"
KABOOOOOOOOOOOM!
The entire arena disappeared beneath an enormous explosion of golden, silver, and dark crimson energy.
Even the observation platforms trembled violently.
When the blinding radiance finally disappeared, four motionless figures lay scattered across the devastated battlefield.
Velion’s berserk transformation had ended.
His enormous wings were torn, his crimson body was covered in terrible wounds, and his divine energy had been completely exhausted.
The other three representatives were in equally miserable conditions.
[Four Representatives Eliminated!]
[Result: Mutual Elimination!]
For several seconds, absolute silence filled the arena.
Then Atlas suddenly screamed.
[DAMN! HE LOST, BUT HE STILL MANAGED TO TAKE THREE OF THEM DOWN WITH HIM!]
Garion stared at the battlefield before bursting into laughter. "HAHAHAHA! THAT’S MY DISCIPLE!"
He proudly slapped the railing. "Not bad, Velion! Nine opponents before going down!"
Rachel smiled gently, although her eyes showed unmistakable concern. "He really did give everything he had."
Meanwhile, the three opposing candidates remained silent, their expressions uglier than ever.
Each of them had already lost three representatives, while Garion had only lost one. Naturally, none of them were in a particularly good mood.
