Heretic Trainer: The Gym Is My Cultivation Method
Chapter 761: Mersha Found New Specimens
Dahlia was just getting ready to fight Galor when two more terrifying auras suddenly erupted from deeper within the fortress.
A moment later, two Dragon Slayers appeared beside Galor.
Both possessed auras at the same level as his.
The first was a huge, mutated dragon-man covered from head to toe in thick armor plates.
Giant claws extended from his hands, curved horns grew from his head, and a massive tail dragged across the ground behind him, crushing the stone beneath its weight with every step.
He was Haran, another First-Rank Divine Dragon Slayer and the user of the second forbidden equipment set.
[Tyrant Wyrm Carapace]
Compared to Haran’s enormous frame, the second Dragon Slayer was much leaner.
His body had transformed into that of a crimson-black dragon-man with enormous blood-red wings, blade-like arms, and glowing red veins crawling beneath his skin like living worms.
His breathing was rough and uneven, while his bloodshot eyes were filled with uncontrollable hunger.
This Dragon Slayer was Camris, another First-Rank Divine Dragon Slayer and another forbidden equipment user.
[Blood Eclipse Drake Regalia]
Unlike Galor, who was still desperately trying to maintain control over the [Nether Dragon Crown], Camris already looked half-feral.
His bloodlust continuously leaked from his body, and every breath he took seemed to make his sanity slip a little further.
Haran opened his enormous mouth and laughed loudly. "Hahaha! So these are the bastards causing all this trouble? They don’t look that impressive!"
Camris slowly licked the edge of one of his blade-like arms, his voice hoarse and unstable. "Blood..."
His bloodshot eyes moved across the God Gym athletes. "Strong blood... I want to cut them open."
Dahlia glanced between the two newcomers before her grin widened. "Oh? More toys came out."
Valtor immediately stepped forward with his axe resting against his shoulder. "Good! Finally, more for me!"
However, just as he was about to charge forward, two figures suddenly moved past him.
Arden and Mersha appeared in front of Valtor, blocking his path.
Valtor stopped and frowned at their backs. "Hey, what the hell are you two doing?"
Arden straightened his posture, trying very hard to look calm despite the faint nervousness still visible in his eyes.
He glanced back at Valtor and pointed toward the rear. "You already handled one earlier, so it’s time for the second disciple to act."
Valtor stared at him as though he had just heard something unbelievable. "Arden, aren’t you usually a fucking coward? You don’t even like fighting."
Arden’s eyebrow twitched and coughed lightly, his expression turning slightly awkward. "Indeed... I don’t particularly enjoy unnecessary battles."
His gaze then shifted toward the two forbidden equipment users ahead, gradually becoming firmer. "But this is war."
Arden took a step forward. "And as the second eldest disciple of God Gym, I need to maintain at least some prestige."
Mersha immediately nodded several times beside him, her messy twin tails bouncing along with her movements. "Yeah, yeah! Exactly!"
She shamelessly placed one hand against her chest. "And I’m the third eldest disciple. It would be pretty embarrassing if we kept hiding in the back while our younger disciples did all the fighting, right?"
Valtor stared blankly at her. "Since when did you care about prestige?"
Mersha only chuckled as she pushed up her glasses, her eyes sparkling dangerously as she stared at Haran and Camris. "Well... that’s only half the reason."
Her grin slowly widened. "Those weird armors are really interesting."
She tilted her head, studying their mutated bodies like a doctor examining two particularly fascinating specimens. "I really, really want to see what happens if I take them apart while they’re still alive."
"..."
Valtor looked at Arden, then at Mersha, before shifting his gaze toward the three Forbidden Equipment users ahead.
His eyebrow twitched several times before he finally clicked his tongue in annoyance. "Tch! Fine then, you bastards!"
He violently swung his axe back onto his shoulder before turning toward the remaining Dragon Slayers deeper inside the fortress. "If I can’t have quality... then I’ll take quantity."
BOOM!
Valtor stomped the ground and launched himself toward the remaining enemies like an erupting volcano. "COME HERE, YOU WEAK BASTARDS!"
Flames and volcanic energy exploded around his body as his laughter echoed throughout the fortress. "IF I CAN’T SMASH THOSE THREE, I’LL JUST SMASH ALL OF YOU INSTEAD!"
Arden watched him disappear into the enemy ranks before quietly adjusting his clothes. "...He took that surprisingly well."
Mersha giggled. "Hehehe. Give him five minutes."
A massive explosion immediately erupted in the distance as Valtor’s laughter thundered across the fortress. "HAHAHAHA! DIE, YOU BASTARD LIZARDS!"
Arden stared at the explosion caused by the crazy Valtor for a moment before sighing. "...Never mind."
---
Garion followed Atlas away from the main battlefield, and the farther he flew, the quieter his surroundings became.
The thunderous explosions and screams of battle gradually faded behind him until eventually, there was nothing but silence.
After flying for some time, Garion finally arrived above a barren floating island hidden behind layers of dark-red mist.
Surprisingly, the entire island was littered with countless corpses and skeletons belonging to various dragon species.
Some were enormous enough to resemble mountains, while others had already decayed until only their massive bones remained.
More importantly, Garion could immediately tell that every single dragon lying here had been extremely powerful when it was alive.
Garion slowly descended onto the island, his usual grin fading slightly as his feet touched the cracked ground.
He looked around at the countless dragon corpses surrounding him. "Damn..."
Even for someone like him, this was quite a sight.
At that moment, a calm voice suddenly echoed across the barren island. "So, you’ve finally come."
Garion stopped walking.
His eyes immediately narrowed toward the direction of the voice before his grin slowly returned. "Oh? You know me?"
"Of course."
A figure slowly emerged from behind the enormous skeleton of a dead dragon.
His body was covered by a dark cloak, while faint system-like symbols continuously flickered around his eyes.
The mysterious man stared directly at Garion. "After all..."
A faint smile appeared on his face. "Both of us are candidates."
Garion stared at him silently for a moment before bursting into laughter. "Hahaha! I see. If that’s the case, this makes things much easier."
The gravity surrounding Garion’s body slowly began to distort.
CRACK! CRACK!
The shattered dragon bones beneath his feet cracked apart one after another as the gravitational pressure around him continued to increase.
Garion rolled his shoulders before cracking his knuckles. "Then let’s not waste each other’s time."
The ground beneath Garion’s feet slowly sank under the increasing gravitational force. "Let’s finish this once and for all."
