Chapter 42: You Still Haven’t Returned My Porn Magazines!

THUD!

"Get back, Lydia!" Rishe had to pull Lydia to her for safety.

The hostile C-Rank Sentinel was seeing red. She sure had locked Lydia as her target.

Since the law forbade anyone from using their mental power on the university grounds, Rishe decided to call back her wolf.

Her Spirit Animal bared its teeth and growled before faded into a strong gust of blizzard.

"Lady Fielyn!"

Hugo and Kathy immediately rushed to protect Lydia, unwilling to let Emily get any closer.

"Want to be her meat shield?! Fine! Be my guests, pests!"

Before anyone could say another word, Emily’s body suddenly shifted into a massive brownish yellow cat.

Emily transformed into a massive brownish-yellow cat about the size of a puma. She looked ready to tear apart anything in her path.

The huge cat pounced and slashed Hugo before he could react. He crashed to the ground with deep claw marks across his body.

"Shit! She had lost it!"

Something felt off. Emily’s eyes were unfocused, with only thin slits of blue visible. Lydia reached for her bracelet and scanned her.

It wasn’t particularly high, but her actions reminded Lydia of what happened to Sentinels with high Stress.

The ones that were one step away from becoming a Mindless.

What’s going on with Emily? Anyone should know better than to use their mental power, especially Resonance, on the university grounds.

"Get away from me, Lady Fielyn!"

Hugo shoved her away with his arm. Blood ran from the deep claw marks across his body where Emily had slashed him.

Several security spheres hovering nearby activated at once. Their warning lights flashed as loud alarms blared across the university grounds, but Emily didn’t even stop.

"Take this!!"

Kathy bolted and slammed herself at the giant cat to save Hugo. But this seemed to enrage Emily further.

The giant cat hissed and turned on Kathy. Before she could lunge and bring her claws down, an ice wall erupted between them, and Emily backed away.

"Don’t be careless, Kathy. Get away from her."

Another ice wall blasted from left and right as Rishe pulled them as barriers to protect Kathy from Emily.

"Have you lost your mind, Emily?!" Lydia shouted.

HISSSSSS!!

Emily charged at her, but Rishe quickly yanked Lydia out of the way.

Meanwhile, Simon and Kathy rushed to Hugo, who lay motionless on the ground.

Simon dropped beside him and hurriedly chugged a High Potion to Hugo’s mouth. While Kathy was trying to treat his injuries before the situation grew any worse.

All of their struggles were useless since Hugo was unconscious. Kathy was already crying over him, her voice shaking with sadness.

"Don’t die, Hugo! Debts! Your debts! You still haven’t paid me for your porn magazines—Curvy Angels, Mama Moo, MILF LIFE, Beep Boob Booty, and Buttery Butt!!" Kathy wailed. "You even haven’t returned my Good Girls Gone to Heaven, Spank Me Mommy, Guide Me to Heaven (Summer Edition), I’ll Make It Fit, and... my DEEP IN LOVE, DEEPER IN HOLES!!"

Okay. That wasn’t sadness. More like... desperation.

Thankfully, some loud smacks from Kathy sure helped to bring Hugo back to life—no, back to the world of the living.

"If you die now, I’ll screenshoot your history browser and forward it to everyone in this whole campus, moron!"

The last sentences sure zapped back Hugo to sit. He even jumped away and covering his bracelet for his dear life from Kathy’s grab.

"I’ll die twice if you do that, Kathy! Anything but that!"

Simon froze, while Lydia could only stare at the scene in sheer embarrassment. Whatever concern Kathy had for Hugo’s well-being, her priorities had become painfully obvious to everyone present.

"Remind me to never ask why they’re like siblings from different mothers." Simon shook his head with tired sigh.

Girl sure had her priorities right. You go, Kathy. Just do what makes you happy. Oh my, I can’t even imagine what’s inside those... bibles of hers.

Rishe giggled at their antics, but her smile faded when she turned back to Emily. She moved closer to Lydia, ready to protect her if Emily attacked again.

"Careful, Lydia. Something is not right."

Emily hissed and roared at them, the sound carrying a lethal intent that made it clear she wasn’t finished.

Flames began to blaze around her enormous feline body, turning her sandy-colored fur into a silhouette surrounded by fire.

Without warning, she dashed toward Lydia.

Rishe slammed huge ice walls all around Emily to block her path and cage her before she could reach Lydia.

The barriers rose high enough to surround the massive cat but Emily’s fire burned hotter than expected.

The C-Rank Sentinel unleashed a surge of flames that melted through the ice, sending steam billowing across the university grounds.

Before Rishe could fully counter her, Emily began hurling fireballs toward the surrounding security systems.

The spheres blared their alarms even louder as her attacks struck nearby barriers and disrupted the university’s security protocols.

"Is Emily on her period or something? That girl sure got beef with me!" Lydia yelled as Rishe grabbed her and pulled her away from an incoming flame.

Heat rushed past them, forcing Lydia to stumble as she struggled to keep her balance. The situation had gone completely out of control, and Emily was now attacking everything around her without any care.

"Did she just... almost flamethrower us, Rishe?"

"She seems to be not in her right mind." Rishe warned.

The entire courtyard was like sea of flame now. And most of the security protocols were severely broken.

Before Emily could launch another attack, a commanding voice cut through the chaos.

"That was enough. Using your power on university grounds is a direct violation of Article 29 of the Sentinel and Guide Act, Lady Emily."

Ephraim had arrived with several professors, his presence immediately drawing everyone’s attention.

His gaze settled on his classmate, whose flames still burned around her body.

"Lady Emily, I expect you to surrender peacefully and explain your actions. Do not make this situation worse."
