New Novel - Read Here

The sun rose and fell and rose again, beginning the second day of the ten day deadline.

In the afternoon, Allen summoned every general, vice-general, commander, and vice-commander of his Allen Army for the meeting. The location was a war council room back at the Heavy User Island—this one had a capacity of hundred people.

Though Commander Larappa had to analyse the tools left behind by Shinonom, she wasn't participating today.

At the chief of honor seat, Bird F summon perched atop the desk, and listened to the report of Allen's army from the leaders. The preparation for yesterday's meet was also the groundwork for today.

Elf General Rukidol glanced at the data—she had been instructed to run a check on their current supplies—and narrated it.

"...This concludes the supply report. It's not complete, however, since the supplies split among the different squads, and warehouses have yet to be counted. This would require some time to consolidate."

«You have done great in just a short day's notice. Now, this might be imposing on you, but I would like you to find out the situation of ration and arrows by tomorrow. It's not just tomorrow, I would like you to keep a strict eye on the supply and consolidate a list.»

"......Understood!"

The Bird F summon acted as the avatar of Allen, with him issuing commands through it.

"There's no need to go that far," The Elven General barely held herself from putting those thoughts into words.

«Now, General Bunsenberg. Have you gathered the data on the star's number and job level of army members.»

It wasn't a norm per se, but in Allen's army, the details of individuals were sorted out according to 'Star's Number' or 'level.'

"Yes! Every general has five star talent, the vice-general has four stars, and commands......"

Then, the Dark Elf general read out the list she had jotted down after hearing from each squad.

[Allen Army's War Supply List]

1. Heaven's Blessing 300,000

2. Potherb 120,000

3. Mana Seed 200,000

4. Leaves of Vitality 100,000

5. Golden Egg 500,000

[The Talent Star Count and Job's Level of Allen Army]

1. Each General hold five start talent, and skill level of 6 (saving General Busenberg, whose is 5)

2.  Each Vice-General hold four start talent, and skill level of 6

3.  Each Commander hold five start talent, and skill level of 6

4.  Each Vice-Commander hold five start talent, and skill level of 5

5. The average soldier of the elven squad holds four star talent, and 80% of the squad exhibited the Skill Level 6.

6. The average dark elve soldier holds four star talent, and 60% of the squad exhibit Skill Level 6

 7. The average beastkin soldier holds four star talent, and 70% of the squad exhibit Skill Level 6

8. The average human soldier holds four star talent, and 80% of the squad exhibit Skill Level 6

9. The average merfolk soldier holds four star talent, and 70% of the squad exhibit Skill Level 6

10. The average dwarven soldier holds four star talent, and 80% of the squad exhibit Skill Level 6

11. The average birdkin soldier holds four star talent, and 70% of the squad exhibit Skill Level 6

12. The average dragonkin soldier holds four star talent, and 70% of the squad exhibit Skill Level 6

(Mhm, I see. I guess I can keep up with Heaven's Blessing and a few other things among the rest of the supply distribution to other nations. I really need Rosenheim to make a list of ration etc supply they can offer.)

Allen analysed the details almost in tandem as he continued to update his knowledgebase regarding the current situation of Allen Army.

It was quite an unintentional finding that Heaven's Blessings were assisted in easy skill levelling. A squad had already finished their supply in training apparently. But with the war approaching, he judged it was better that way.

This was the pressing issue for the Allen Army who had no vast land, and only ever had a group of islands. Whatever the crops were grown also required to be saved up for 20,000 residents of the Island. They couldn't have just used them without consequence.

The logistics were bound to incur a huge cost, and equally long time. Thus, Allen's plan was to exchange Heaven's Blessing etc items with the other nation in exchange for food supplies. Rosenheim, in particular, was one of his targets for this trade. Rosenheim had the blessing of spirit, and the world tree, among other things that made the biggest food production continent.

[Job Transfer Dungeon Compilation]

—Job Transfer Dungeon opens 4th month of the last year (Allen Army Formation)

—Job Transfer Dungeon (revised) re-opens at the 4th month of this year

The Difference between Job Transfer Dungeon & Job Transfer Dungeon (revised)

—Can enter one time only, and applicable only till four star job  transfer

—In revised dungeon, by spending job transfer point, allow user to acquire five star job at maximum

(There aren't that many personnel with max level jobs as I was hoping for. What have they been doing in the last one year? I guess it's my fault. I should've given them the mission to achieve a definite number. The dark elves in particular are lacking much progress.)

Allen was quite taken aback when he heard their army's average job level. It was quite low. From Allen's perspective, it shouldn't take more than three months for max skill level in Normal Mode.

If anything, it was even entirely possible to hit max level in just one month. Perhaps, they couldn't strike a proper balance between the tasks—earn money for Allen, and focus on war training for the army.

Whether it was job rank or level, humans, dwarves, and elves who had joined the army against demons were all clearly high level. The beastkin that had followed afterward were the private army of Shea, and there was nothing to find fault about them. They're well trained warriors.

Similarly, the merfolk dispatched by Empress Rapunnir were adequately trained.

And in contrast to them, the dark elves dispatched were young peoples, with limited interaction with other villages, and only a bit of knowledge about hunting. It was apparent their growth had lagged behind.

The Bird F turned toward General Busenberg, and relayed a speech.

«...Let the Vice-General take over the aforementioned details. For now, you need to hit the level cap, General. Your dark elven squad requires the same effort to be in line with others. For the rest, your objective is to get at least 90% of your number to level cap. You may use Heaven's Grace and Mana Seeds for assistance, albeit in moderation. Your target is to hit the depth of the S-rank dungeon, so pray select your members within today...»

(Dark elves neither have enough strength, nor ample experience of fighting demons. They require a challenge. Even the bunch of folks from Shea's private army are clearly more experienced despite not facing Demon King's army once.)

Allen's command was simple. He had wanted everyone—though dark elves in particular—to lead their subordinates, make up a list on which squad personnel require what level of effort, and then trained them accordingly.

As they couldn't take it leisurely, he allowed them to use the supplies and equipment. One such example were Mana Recovery rings, the bracelet made by Makris's Sacred Orb, recovery medicines, and Grass F's Herbs.

Busenberg could feel the pressure as Allen's command flew out. The rest of the captains swiftly jotted down the details, and made a list of what they must do within today.

"I will make sure no one gets to be a drag in the war. I will have them train till the last day. However, if I have to stay away..."

When Allen had finally finished on his details, Busenberg raised an objection.

«General Busenberg. One thing you must know is that the Demon King's army first takes their shot at the leaders. And as a matter of fact, not even orichalcum armour equipped chiefs of dragonkin had managed to survive the battle against them at the Divine Realm. This isn't about one person or one group. This pertains to the survival of the entire army.»

Allen had been expecting this, and immediately narrated the speech he came up with, making the others realize the gravity of the situation.

Demons weren't some brainless ghouls. The leaders of any army were the guidance force, one that spun the chaotic movements of individuals into a rhythmic beat. It wouldn't matter how much of the bigger they took along with them, the loss of leaders would be massive. How long could a castle survive against a siege if walls were removed? It had the same notion.

«The rank of general isn't to be trifled with. You must strive to outlive others, so that you can protect and save the lives of soldiers.»

"As you command!"

"As you command!"

"As you command!"

Allen's words must have resonated with them. Everyone present raised their voice in an understanding tone, bowing their heads. They weren’t grateful due to his speeches alone. It was how he had arranged the job transfer points, and distributed orichalcum armaments.

«Mhm, this should be your spirit. Now, to our allies. I would like General Raibuck to sort out the coordination with Brave's army. And General Zaurele, I hope you can coordinate with Admiral Galara. General Rukidol, bring your vice-general along with you and work with Rosenheim, and—this wouldn't be easy, I know—leaders of other continents to ensure logistics.»

Once he had sorted the details on one end, Allen brought forth their next agenda as he instructed.

(The rest is the situation with the dock of Bawkis Empire. Alright, Leon and I will settle this one.)

The warfare ships. This was one of the crucial steps Allen had requested from alliance leaders. He had wanted to get their hands on them as soon as possible, but Allen Army's clearly had their schedule packed up.

He decided he would have Leon go out to confirm the situation.

"Is there anything we can do? I mean, maybe there's something we can undertake as it's clear General Rukidol and General Busenberg's burden is heavier."

General Lud raised his voice. Seeing as Allen was imposing a hellish task on General Busenberg, while noticing his name not coming out, he decided to actively ask out. The vice-general Rath nodded next to him, clearly sharing the same opinion.

«Of course, I have, General Lud. In fact, it's a very important task. Since you're quite familiar with wars, I would like you to design a formation for our force. The war this time may require team up between different races. Hence, I want you to listen to what other generals have to say in their respective formations, then coordinate with Hero and Admiral Galara and prepare an adequate strategy.»

(I alone can't accomplish perfect one precise strategy after all.)

"Geh..."

Lud took a deep breath when he realised he might possibly be assigned the most burdensome mission.

[The Allen Army's squad and their traits]

—Elven Squad: Archery, Spirit Magic (Recovery, Buffs)

—Dark Elf Squad: Archery, Spirit Magic (Offense, Debuff)

—Beastkin Squad: Team Sword, Team Spear, and Team Bow

—Human Squad : Tank team, and Swordsmanship.

—Merfolk Squad: Team Spear, and buff magic specialist

—Dwarven Squad: Golem (Tank), Magic Tools (Buf, Offensive, and Debuffs)

The army was a mix of many races, so it was clear they'd their advantages and disadvantages.

Some races excelled in physical attacks, while some were more attuned to magic. Then some prefer melee, while others range attacks. Then, despite being tank oriented, there was quite a distinct difference among the Human's Shield Squad or Golem Squad of Dwarves, like mobility.

Allen instructed General Rud to sketch out a strategy that must include positioning of squads, and as well chain of commands. Then, report Allen everyday on progress.

«Vice-General Rath. I want you to update me with the details of Hero squad and Admiral Galara's squad as General Raibuck updates on it. A strategy is important, but not an absolute victory after all. We must keep retreat as an option in case we fail.»

He made it clear on several possibilities, and affirming that they'd no objections, commanded everyone on how to train their soldiers.

"...U-Understood!!"

General Rath barely made it out a spirited reply. Meanwhile, streams had already started to rise from General Lud's head.

Then, announcing the next iteration of the meeting to be held in the afternoon the next day, the war council of 2nd day came to a closure.
