Heir of Synthesis: The World Mage
Chapter 454: Heavenly Elemental Body
A massive commotion erupted inside the hall. The Sect Master and all the Central Elders hurriedly moved to stand in front of Priam, taking up defensive positions.
"ELDER LIONE! WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS?!"
The figure snorted, and his entire body pulsed with even more intense white lightning.
Priam merely sensed that energy and swallowed hard. In the past, he had faced Gangrel, who wielded emerald-green lightning—the second level of lightning power. Now, the color manifesting before him was white, and he was absolutely certain that this represented the supreme pinnacle of this elemental power.
Just sensing the presence of that energy sent a chilling shiver down his spine. The only time Priam had experienced a similar sensation was from the Thunder of Destruction. However, these two types of thunder were completely different in nature.
That white thunder seemed like a force of nature devoid of its own will, much like a cold blade whose wielder decided exactly how to use it. The Thunder of Destruction, on the other hand, was the pure embodiment of the will to kill and annihilate, leaving absolutely no room for negotiation.
In terms of raw power, Priam’s Thunder of Destruction was several levels above it. On the other hand, the white thunder displayed extraordinary versatility and adaptability, potentially making it a thousand times more useful in various operational situations.
Ultimately, it was impossible to declare either energy strictly superior or inferior to the other.
Priam reflected on this indifferently because, unlike the terrified members of his sect, he didn’t sense any genuine hostility coming from that figure. In fact, he felt an instinctive connection with the man.
Priam was certain the man felt the same way about him. It was as if they were two little birds that had hatched in the same nest.
"BRAT PRIAM! EXPLAIN YOURSELF!" The man snorted, pointed a finger at him through the ranks of Central Elders, and spoke in an icy tone.
"What exactly do you mean by that?" Priam replied, completely devoid of emotion.
The man roared, "Why the hell do you possess my sect’s core technique?! Our technique is something that must never be leaked to the outside world. Even the slightest leak is answered with a bloodbath!"
Priam calmly asked, "Core technique? What exactly are you talking about?"
"Don’t play dumb! All the information about your strength, as well as your power signature, has already been transmitted throughout the entire universe. You’re clearly using our Wind Element Heavenly Elemental Body!"
"!"
Upon hearing that, Priam’s expression changed completely.
That unknown Wind Technique... the same one he had found with several crucial parts missing back in the Ylisse Clan...
Thinking about it, Priam had only managed to create the Elemental Physique back then because Dandara had given him a golden piece of advice.
She clearly hadn’t known how to rationally explain how she knew that information. She had simply intuitively grasped it and spoken the words aloud. In the end, without that guidance, Priam would have taken years to achieve the same result—assuming he could have managed it at all.
The connection between the technique and Dandara was crystal clear.
Priam took a deep breath, calming his racing pulse. He exchanged quick glances with the Sect Master and the Central Elders, all of whom were tense to the limit.
Priam then turned back to the man.
"The answer is simpler than you think..."
Priam explained everything without hiding a single detail. He revealed that the technique simply existed in his clan’s library back in the mortal plane. However, several crucial parts were missing, and he had needed to reconstruct the structure on his own.
Obviously, the Elder didn’t believe him at first. However, Priam clarified that his clan consisted of the last remaining members of the Vanculari race—a race of immense importance in the past, directly connected to the Sacred Goddess.
Upon learning this detail, the man’s expression visibly changed.
Priam couldn’t be absolutely certain, but there was an obvious connection between the facts. Possibly, the technique had existed in his clan’s collection since its founding, and its structure had become incomplete as its teachings were gradually lost over the generations.
"I see..." The man immediately withdrew his entire imposing aura and murmured thoughtfully.
The Sect Master was surprised. He had accepted the explanation that quickly?
After a brief moment of reflection, the visitor turned toward everyone in the hall.
"I can clearly sense the aura of the elemental runes engraved into his body. Because of that, I can confirm that he truly possesses an imperfect, adapted version of our core technique. Doing something like that is shockingly dangerous... but I can affirm that he really did what he described." He sighed softly before continuing.
"This information is an internal secret, but there’s no reason to hide it from you. The ancestors of my sect were actually just two poor young men of mediocre talent whom the Sovereign Goddess randomly saved out of compassion.
After taking them in for a while and teaching them the fundamentals of combat, she granted them our core technique and then probably forgot they even existed."
Even when the Sovereign Goddess was accused of treason by the Sovereigns and disappeared, my sect remained nothing more than a tiny fiefdom in the northern region.
It was only much later that, miraculously, some geniuses emerged who managed to properly assimilate and practice the technique, allowing the sect to flourish."
The man took a deep breath and turned his gaze toward Priam.
"For this reason, our core technique was never granted to us as an absolute exclusive. Certainly, races close to the Goddess, or figures connected to her, may still possess these teachings."
Upon hearing this revelation, everyone in the hall immediately understood the bigger picture.
The Elder sighed. "Boy, you’re incredibly lucky to be part of the Ironweald Sect. Otherwise, our sect would have been forced to execute you at all costs."
Priam felt a cold sweat trickle down his spine. If he had actually joined the Thunderhead Sect in the past, he would inevitably have run into this monumental problem.
"So... everything has been properly cleared up," the Sect Master said, letting out a long sigh of relief. "The Elder came to my sect to investigate this matter, correct?"
The man turned toward him. "Yes. However, even though everything has been clarified, we can’t simply leave things at that. He possesses our core technique..."
"It’s not just me," Priam calmly interrupted. "Since I was unaware of this restriction, I passed on the version I created to my twin sisters. Among them, Suien used it as a foundation to develop something new. It’s quite different, but the core remains the same."
"Fine. If she’s your blood sister, then she’s in the same situation as you." As he said this, the man snorted. "Anyway, to settle this matter once and for all, you... and your sister must become disciples of my sect."
Upon hearing this demand, everyone present in the hall widened their eyes in shock.
