Heir of Synthesis: The World Mage

Chapter 310: Connection Intact

  • Next Chapter

A dry, violent crack of wood colliding with a face echoed throughout the entire city. In the very next millisecond, a flesh-and-blood meteor shot through the sky toward the horizon.

**BOOOM!**

The slope of a distant mountain collapsed with a terrifying roar upon impact.

The entire arena froze. No one dared to breathe.

In the center of the martial stage, Suien and Meien trembled. Their eyes widened, fixed on the back of that figure in the air.

Despite the years apart, they had kept the memory of that brief reunion buried deep within their souls. How many times had they dreamed of this exact moment?

To them, the stories their parents had told about their older brother had turned him into a mythical figure. He had left and promised to return, but he had left them everything they could have ever wanted.

As soon as they came of age, an indescribable desire to find him only grew stronger within both of them.

That was why they devoted every free second they had to studying and training. They had talent. But even the most hardworking people in the world hadn’t dedicated themselves as much as they had.

Combined with knowledge that even the figures of the Divine Plane could only dream of possessing, they quickly became shocking and formidable Mages.

He was exactly as they remembered him.

A knot tightened in both their throats, and their hearts nearly leaped out of their chests.

"Brother... Older brother..." Meien stammered, her voice failing amid an overwhelming wave of relief and excitement.

**RUMBLE!**

An explosive shockwave tore through the clouds.

Everyone’s eyes turned toward the sky. Wrapped in a chaotic and uncontrollable aura, Frizza emerged from the rubble. On her face...

A perfect black mark had been imprinted onto her skin—even the shape of every single leaf on the branch could be seen with crystal clarity!

"YOU BASTARD!" she roared, fury completely contorting her features.

Priam stared at her with a cold, disinterested gaze.

"Get lost. I have absolutely no interest in beating up an old woman with one foot in the grave," his voice echoed low and calm, but it carried the unquestionable authority of a divine decree. "You dared to threaten my sisters. I was patient enough to give you only a warning strike without causing any real damage. Next time, don’t blame me for being cruel."

Frizza narrowed her eyes. She could sense the power fluctuations of a Level 9 Mage Master coming from him, and her mind refused to accept it.

How could a young man who clearly wasn’t even thirty years old have reached that stage? It was conceptually impossible!

Even so, even if he was an unparalleled Level 9 prodigy, she was a veteran of centuries, with an immeasurable amount of battle experience.

"DIE!"

She didn’t waste another second on words.

The entire firmament twisted as apocalyptic wind elemental power erupted from her body.

The pressure was so monstrous that Mages throughout the city felt as if their very souls were being ripped from their chests by sheer panic.

On the ground, Suien and Meien stared at Priam’s back, their hearts beating wildly.

Priam merely sighed.

"Fine... Just disappear."

[Dominate?] [Yes / No]

He activated the System command.

"!"

Suddenly, Frizza’s expression froze.

All the elemental power she had just summoned came to a complete halt in the air, entirely severed from her control.

The next second, Priam casually gestured with his hand.

*Woooooooosh!*

The thousands of wind runes and all the chaotic energy in the sky were instantly drawn toward the palm of his hand.

The skies pulsed. It was as if a tiny, blinding star had been born out of nowhere.

In just five seconds, all of Frizza’s apocalyptic power had been compressed into a single dense, crystalline sphere.

With terrifying indifference, Priam gently tossed it forward.

"NO!"

Frizza roared in pure desperation when she recognized her own attack, concentrated into a devastating form. She tried to flee, but it reached her far too quickly.

**KBOOOOOM!**

The sky across the entire planet distorted in a spectacle of violent shockwaves. A seismic tremor that seemed to herald the end of the world made the Earth’s crust vibrate.

The entire arena plunged into momentary darkness as the light was swallowed by the detonation.

Slowly, the dust and spatial distortions began to settle, allowing the terrified crowd to see more than a few inches in front of them again.

As the dust and magical residue dissipated, the audience saw the slender, serene figure gently land on the ground, right in front of the twins.

"I took a little while... but I said I’d come back, didn’t I?" Priam looked them in the eyes, trying to maintain a stern and austere expression.

They hadn’t even left the mortal plane, and they had already put themselves in terrible danger.

He knew Frizza probably just wanted to put on a show of authority so she wouldn’t lose the crowd’s respect before taking the two of them as disciples. Her earlier power was only meant to leave the two of them battered, not kill them.

However, Priam’s body had acted on instinct. He would never allow anyone to hurt his sisters. His attack on Frizza just now had only injured her badly as a warning, but he hadn’t killed her.

"You really didn’t trust me? Did you really want to find a way to go after me that badly?" he asked in a deep voice.

The two swallowed hard. Their lips trembled, and their eyes glistened.

"No..." Suien stammered.

"We... we just couldn’t..." Meien finished, her voice choked by the knot that had formed in her throat.

Seeing the desperation on both their faces, Priam’s stern facade completely crumbled. A warm, radiant smile appeared on his lips—he simply couldn’t be harsh with them.

Priam let out a long sigh. "It’s okay. Let’s go home."

The words had barely left his mouth when Priam felt a firm impact against his chest.

The two of them lunged forward at the same time, burying their faces against his chest, one on each side, and wrapping their arms around his body with all the strength they had. Priam froze for a moment, but soon relaxed; he felt no discomfort at being touched by them, which left him greatly relieved.

The entire arena watched in absolute silence.

The two young prodigies—known for their untouchable beauty and coldness in battle—were now crying uncontrollably, sobbing in the arms of that mysterious young man as if the world around them didn’t exist.

After several minutes of that tight embrace, Priam made a gentle gesture, releasing Mirra.

"Big sisters!" Mirra’s childish voice rang out, making the two of them startle and pull back slightly, wiping their faces.

They looked at the little girl on Priam’s shoulder, a little confused.

"Ah!" Mirra giggled as she remembered. In a soft flash of light, her body quickly transformed, taking the form of a fluffy little kitten.

"It’s you!" Suien’s face lit up with a radiant smile. She affectionately grabbed Mirra and hugged her against her face.

Meien smiled as well, deeply moved. They would never forget Mirra; in the past, they had spent days playing together, forming an affectionate bond in a very short time.

As the two stroked the feline, Priam watched them with affection and a subtle melancholy.

"For you, so much time has passed... But for me and Mirra, it was only two years. She’s still a child. But you..."

Priam let the sentence hang, sighing softly. Time had passed far too quickly. Standing before him were no longer his two cute little sisters, but two grown women, strong and stunning.

"Hehe... Let’s go! Mom and Dad are going to be so happy!" Meien said with a voice trembling with joy, firmly holding Priam’s right hand.

Suien, still holding Mirra, did the same on the other side, intertwining her fingers with his.

Priam found himself surrounded, being pulled by the two of them off the martial stage.

With every step, an immense sense of relief flooded his chest. Even after so many years apart, the connection between the three of them remained intact, visceral and pure. There was no trace of distance or awkwardness—it was as if their souls had never been separated.

When they reached the arena’s access corridor, Priam stopped.

"Hold on tight," he murmured.

The two immediately understood and grabbed his arms tightly.

With a light, graceful push, Priam used the wind element and took flight, cutting through the capital’s skies with his two sisters.

Mirra returned to her humanoid form, settling onto his shoulder with a wide smile.

"It’s much better like this..." the little girl murmured softly, feeling the calm that finally surrounded the group.

A few moments later, Priam gently descended in front of the imposing mansion he had purchased for his family.

The guard protecting the entrance jumped backward in fright when he saw the house’s two young mistresses landing while clinging to a stranger.

Without hesitation, Priam stepped forward.

Suddenly, the mansion’s massive doors opened with an echoing sound.

His eyes fixed on the two figures rushing out.

"Mom... Dad..." Priam murmured, his voice choked with emotion.
