Chapter 218: CH. 218 | The Wedding

An Yue rose from her seat and reached her hand out, her gentle touch settling into Lin Tian’s palm.

The moment their hands met, Lin Tian leaped backward and rose gently into the air, cradling An Yue in his arms.

The red veil covering her face slipped away, revealing the beautiful face of the woman Lin Tian loved.

With the sixth trial complete, Lin Tian had finally reached An Yue, and now the two of them floated together above the Lingxian Sect.

Disciples from every peak gathered in the front courtyard, looking up in awe at the tender display of true love between Lin Tian and An Yue.

The two of them continued floating in the air, a gentle breeze brushing softly across their faces. An Yue’s hand rose, reaching out to lightly caress Lin Tian’s cheek.

His face hovered right in front of her, handsome and radiating pure happiness. She was happy, he was happy, and everyone across the Lingxian Sect was happy too.

That day was a joyful one for everyone, without a single exception.

"I’ve always waited for this happy day. I’m so glad... my wait wasn’t wasted," An Yue whispered.

"You’re a part of my life. You’re my soul. As long as you’re by my side, that’s more than enough for me," Lin Tian replied.

Lin Tian’s hand cupped gently around An Yue’s cheek, and he found the courage to lean his face closer to hers.

An Yue closed her eyes, her heart pounding as Lin Tian drew nearer. Even though they’d shared moments like this before, this one felt different.

They stood at the heart of a sacred wedding ceremony, watched by everyone present, the center of every eye in the crowd.

She felt a flutter of nerves, but none of it made her want to pull away from him.

Their lips met, tender and full of love, a warm kiss witnessed by everyone gathered, met with a joyful roar of cheers and celebration.

Many of the disciples were moved to tears by the tenderness between them, the rumors finally confirmed true.

An Yue held Lin Tian’s heart entirely, no other woman held any place there.

"Elder An Yue... you look absolutely stunning!"

"You two really are a perfect match."

"We’re so happy for your wedding!"

The kiss between them ended. Lin Tian opened his eyes and saw An Yue’s face flushed a deep red, especially across her cheeks beneath her elegant makeup.

"Thank you for choosing me, Lin Tian," An Yue whispered.

Lin Tian didn’t say anything in return, just smiled and nodded. To him, that felt like more than enough of a response to what she’d just said.

They turned to look elsewhere, down toward the crowd below, where many sect disciples waited for them to complete the final part of the ceremony, sharing wine from a single cup together.

Lin Tian held An Yue firmly around the waist and flew down to land on the stage, where Wu Yue was already waiting, with An Xiao standing beside her.

They set their feet down on the platform floor. An Yue lifted her head and looked ahead, her eyes welling up with emotion the moment her gaze met An Xiao’s.

"Next comes the final part of the ceremony," Wu Yue announced.

She used her qi to pour wine from a pot into a glass cup, then handed it to Lin Tian.

"The bride and groom must drink together from the same cup, a symbol of standing united in one shared purpose."

Lin Tian accepted the cup and took a drink, leaving the rest of the wine for An Yue. An Yue took the glass cup and finished what remained.

Cheers erupted across the crowd, filled with congratulations and heartfelt wishes from everyone present.

With that ceremony complete, Lin Tian and An Yue were now officially bound together as husband and wife.

They turned around to face the crowd of Lingxian Sect disciples. Both of them waved warmly, thanking everyone for their kind words and blessings.

"Thank you all for your kind wishes."

"Please, go enjoy the wedding feast," Lin Tian said.

He swept his hand forward, and rows of tables spread out across the courtyard floor, laden with wine and fruit set out for everyone to enjoy.

They watched, delighted, then settled into their seats at the tables. Lin Tian did the same, taking his place on the platform’s throne with An Yue seated beside him.

The wedding feast began, filled with joy and the sound of happy laughter.

Everyone felt genuinely glad that this marriage had brought new color and life to the Lingxian Sect.

More than a few of them were already looking forward to Lin Tian and An Yue’s future children.

"Looks like I’ll be an aunt pretty soon," Ya Fei teased.

An Yue blushed instantly. They’d only just gotten married, and there hadn’t been any discussion yet about starting a family.

Lin Tian didn’t feel offended in the slightest, if anything he was curious about it himself, though of course it would need An Yue’s agreement first.

"As a good aunt, I’ll start teaching them formation techniques from the very beginning."

"No way. Master Lin and Yue’er’s talent will pass down to their child, they’ll definitely have a gift for artifact crafting."

"Pill refinement is clearly the better path, I just hope my niece turns out to be a girl."

"I’ll help teach them meridian recovery techniques."

Lin Tian laughed, not the least bit bothered by any of it. He turned to the side and took hold of An Yue’s hand, catching her completely off guard.

"We’ll talk about all that later. For now, just enjoy the celebration," Lin Tian said, and everyone happily obliged.

Right as the celebration was in full swing, Cao Ying approached the stage, bowing her head respectfully. Lin Tian turned his full attention to her.

"Sorry to interrupt your wedding celebration, Master Lin."

"But I’m planning to use this time to deepen my understanding of my own dao concept," Cao Ying said.

"So you’re leaving now?" Lin Tian asked, and Cao Ying nodded in confirmation.

Lin Tian let out a short breath, reached his hand forward, and lifted the restraining seal from Cao Ying. That caught her completely by surprise.

"T-The restraining seal...?" Cao Ying gasped.

"That seal was closing off your heart. I was worried it might get in the way of your understanding going forward."

"Go, and take your time understanding your dao concept properly. I’ll take care of the sect from here on out."
