Chapter 100: Chapter 100: New Monsters

The throne room was quiet, illuminated by the magical lights attached to the towering pillars, but the screen displayed a scene that immediately caught his attention. Adventurers were entering his dungeon in unusually large numbers, far more than he had seen on an ordinary day.

Some carried swords and shields, while others wore leather armor or robes suited for spellcasters. Their equipment varied in quality, and their levels differed considerably, but one thing was certain: this was no ordinary group of adventurers from Hetin Town.

Veyra stood beside the throne, her red eyes fixed on the screen. Unlike Ragnar, who was carefully examining the adventurers, she seemed more interested in the sheer number of humans gathering inside his dungeon.

"My lord, there are a lot of adventurers entering the dungeon today. There are so many of them that I can’t even count them all at a glance," she remarked, her lips curving into a playful smile. "Did the humans finally decide that they want to give you more Soul Points? If they keep sending this many people inside, perhaps we should welcome them more enthusiastically."

Ragnar glanced at her before returning his attention to the screen. "There must be more than a hundred adventurers entering the dungeon today. That’s considerably more than usual. I wonder what happened to bring so many of them here at once."

Until now, the adventurers entering his dungeon had mostly come from Hetin Town and the surrounding villages. Their levels were generally low, and even the strongest among them rarely exceeded Level 15.

Today’s visitors, however, were different.

Ragnar carefully examined the information displayed above their heads. Most were between Level 10 and Level 15, but there were quite a few adventurers at Level 16 and above. More importantly, he spotted several Level 20 adventurers moving among the crowd.

Their equipment appeared better than that of the ordinary visitors, and their confident expressions suggested that they had already experienced numerous battles.

’Level 20?’

Ragnar leaned forward slightly, his large hand resting against the armrest of his throne. He had become accustomed to seeing adventurers from Hetin Town, so he immediately noticed the difference.

Kaelira, who stood on the opposite side of the throne, also noticed the difference. Her golden eyes followed the adventurers as they passed through the dungeon’s entrance.

"Could it be that adventurers from other human cities or towns have finally learned about our dungeon?" she asked.

"That’s possible," Ragnar replied.

He shifted his attention toward the system interface and opened the dungeon’s resource panel.

The number displayed beside his Soul Points continued to increase.

One point became two, then three. As the adventurers spread throughout the first floor and began encountering the monsters inhabiting its various areas, the number climbed steadily.

A faint smile appeared on his handsome, chiseled face.

"Well, this is good. I was beginning to think that I would have to wait quite a while before accumulating enough Soul Points for another useful upgrade."

Ragnar immediately opened the skill shop and navigated to the intermediate-rank passive skills. Since he had already reached Level 30, he was eligible to purchase skills within the intermediate category. He browsed the available options until he found the one he wanted.

Intermediate Regeneration.

The price was eight Soul Points.

Ragnar studied the description for a few seconds before making his decision.

’This is worth it.’

He selected the skill and confirmed the purchase.

[ Intermediate Regeneration has been purchased.]

[ 8 Soul Points have been consumed. ]

[ Remaining Soul Points: 7 ]

A familiar sensation spread throughout Ragnar’s body. It began deep within his chest before gradually extending through his muscles, limbs, and the rest of his enormous frame. The change was subtle at first, but he soon felt a new force circulating through his body, strengthening its ability to recover from damage.

He clenched his massive fist, examining it with satisfaction.

"Good. This should make a considerable difference in a prolonged battle."

"My lord, you’ve become stronger again," Kaelira said. "With your physical enhancements, magic resistance, and now improved regeneration, you’ll be much harder to defeat than before. Even if an adventurer manages to injure you, you’ll be able to recover more quickly and continue fighting."

Two days passed, and the sudden influx of adventurers continued to bring changes to Ragnar’s dungeon. Groups of humans entered the first floor in search of treasure, and monster materials.

For Ragnar, these two days had been particularly rewarding.

He sat on his enormous throne, examining the system interface floating before him. The Soul Points displayed on the screen had reached thirty, a considerable increase compared to what he had possessed before the arrival of the new adventurers.

Ragnar leaned back against his throne, his glowing eyes narrowing slightly as he considered his next move.

’Thirty Soul Points. That’s enough to prepare the second floor’s next defensive area. I also level up to 32’

The first defensive area on the second floor was the Dead Forest, where Gravefang and Gravehorn undead lurked among withered trees and patches of decaying vegetation.

Ragnar rubbed his chin thoughtfully.

"What kind of undead monsters would be suitable for a graveyard?" he muttered.
