Chapter 1698: Chapter 1698. Cecile and Kali Bathing Together.

While Yasenia was attending the gathering and other social duties, the girls weren’t just staying at home. During the first few months when Yasenia was in closed-door cultivation, they all became accustomed to the city’s layout and also walked around the Spirit Profession areas.

They inspected plenty of goods, and they got acquainted with the prices thanks to Qinqin’s guidance. Her ability as a merchant was well above any of them, comparable to even the best learned maids in the trade, and in some areas, surpassing them.

She had lived over 6,000 years as the heir of a massive merchant family at the very top of an entire world. Unless Qinqin’s talent in the area was superb, she would’ve either been pushed aside or "died of an unexpected illness." Moreover, she was not a true favorite. She had some allies, but as Qinqin had explained, even her parents weren’t really on her side in important matters.

Therefore, Qinqin had managed to build a small power within the massive Shang Family in just 6,000 years and had gotten enough resources to reach the Fourth Level of the Transcendence Realm.

It was a spectacular achievement for someone at this Heavenly Layer.

Cecile was sitting in a training zone. Around her, several dummies created by illusions and other complex formations floated aimlessly and without a definite pattern. As she sat with her eyes closed, energy around her rippled with Space, Moon, and Wind energies.

Opening her eyes, her bow flashed as she pulled and released an energy string several times within a second.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!...

All the targets were destroyed with pinpoint accuracy. Cecile, though, was not satisfied. "Too slow. If it was Yasenia, she would’ve probably dodged and retaliated."

Cecile’s presence in the family was neither faint nor bright. She spent time sparring with Yasenia from time to time, and she constantly focused on improving her strength. Other than that, Cecile was, among all the girls, one of the most motherly.

Since she didn’t practice any profession, she used her free time to teach or train with Asterion and Feixue, and even back in Distancia, she was the one who spent the most time with the children.

The others also spent time with them. They spent less time than Cecile not because they didn’t care as much, but because training a Spirit Profession was incredibly time-consuming.

Among the many things the girls had talents in, the only one they surpassed Yasenia in was their specific Spirit Profession. Therefore, they prioritized it quite a lot.

Cecile, who had learned the ways of hunting, was not that special in that regard. She was an incredible hunter. If you told her to kill and hunt a high-level beast, she would manage with time and patience.

Even Behemoth Senior would probably have trouble with Cecile’s tactics because her attributes were just perfect for hunting. The Wind attribute helped her hide her presence and also detect wide areas. Her Space attribute helped with both mobility and stealth. And her Moon attribute was incredible for harassment tactics and powerful techniques.

Cecile looked around the formation and used her energy to control the difficulty. ’Should I try the hardest difficulty after a while?’

As she activated it, the number of targets that appeared was ten. These targets looked like glowing white balls with a black core in the middle. If they were hit on the white edge, their speed and ability to move would gradually slow down. If the black core was even grazed by an attack, the target would pop like a bubble.

Cecile took a deep breath and activated all her skills. Energy flowed through her body as she shot an arrow skyward. Spatial energy covered the entire zone, and Cecile created portals for her arrow to pass through.

The arrows began swishing around as they passed through the portals, while the targets reacted even to energy movements and dodged everything with incredible precision.

Changes of pace, teleportation, speed, prediction... the balls had everything, and as Cecile shot and manipulated more arrows, the targets were touched here and there by them, but never allowed more than the surface to be touched.

Even when a portal was summoned right before them, the ball would swiftly accelerate and dodge.

Cecile pursed her lips as her wings flapped and she also began to move around. A storm of spatial energies burst from her body, shattering everything around Cecile and creating several black rifts.

Once these rifts appeared, Cecile dove into them without any hint of hesitation whatsoever, teleporting and firing arrows toward the targets and portals.

1 minute... 5 minutes... 30 minutes...

Time went by, but none of the ten targets were shot down. After two hours of constant focus, to the point that Cecile’s mind began to feel burdened, she stopped and allowed all the arrows to fall against the training ground.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!...

Explosive sounds spread everywhere as Cecile breathed roughly and flapped her wings midair. "As expected... it is impossible for me as I currently am."

Landing on the ground, she saw Clara and two other maids walk toward her with refreshments and a clean towel. "Good job today as well, Madam Cecile. It was a wonderful show of aerial dominance.

Cecile nodded faintly, her face as cold as ever. "Thank you."

Clara chuckled, her silver hair and tanned skin creating an exotic and contrasting beauty. "Even then, you are truly giving the little one in your belly quite a wild ride."

Cecile’s cold lips arched gently, her features melting slightly as she caressed her stomach. "Since it is Yasenia’s child, it will be strong enough to bear with it."

The maids laughed and gave Cecile some refreshments. "Come this way, Madam Cecile. The bath is ready."

"Mhm."

When she arrived and took off everything, Cecile walked into the large, traditional bath built here. It was as large as a small pool, with purposely placed rocks at the edge. The bath floor was made of natural soil, and the water came from a natural spring and was enhanced with a nourishing mix of herbs.

Just bathing in this bath would be considered a luxury even among the top families of this world, but with Yasenia’s garden being as large as it was, they could easily afford it.

"Kali. You were here."

The woman with her five fluffy fox tails was sitting on a bench, completely naked, while five maids slowly and gently brushed her tails.

Kali, looking incredibly relaxed and comfortable with their care, glanced back lazily, her verdant green eyes layered with a faint, hazy mist. "Cecile. Did you finish your training?"

Cecile moved to her side, and the maids behind Cecile began to clean her body. First, they poured a large basin of water on her, and with brushes that automatically created healing soap, they took care of Cecile’s massive wings and long, platinum-blonde hair.

Clara sat behind Cecile, placing her three phoenix tails on her lap and brushing them off one by one. Soon, Cecile’s face mimicked Kali’s. "...Comfortable."

Clara and the other maids smiled. "Thank you for your compliment, Madam."

Since Cecile was a woman of few words, just receiving that word spoke volumes about how good their service was.

Kali smirked. "So, did you manage to get one of the targets today?"

Cecile shook her head. "I couldn’t. The hardest difficulty is still beyond me. I think I’ll need to boost my Intent Domain and Cultivation a little bit more."

"Even you can’t get them?" Kali sighed. "Angel and Mother-in-law were quite proud of it, but when I saw Mother-in-law beat the hardest level, I thought it wasn’t that difficult."

Cecile smiled faintly. "Only when you try to catch them yourself do you realize how profound Tatyana’s moves had been."

Kali asked. "Speaking of level and such, what floor are you on in the Star Breaker Realm Bead?"

"959."

"Oh? You are in the last stretch of the Silver Copy?"

Cecile spoke. "If I wanted, I could probably beat the copies and step into the Golden Copy territory. However, many of my skills have not yet improved to the Big Improvement realm. So, I am practicing at the lowest level for now to observe how they move."

Kali hummed. "I am still at the middle levels of the silver copy. The Big Improvement realm feels a touch ethereal..." She then recalled their dear dragoness and laughed. "To think Yasenia has already gotten the hang of what is needed for the Big Improvement realm. None of her skills were left behind."

Cecile nodded. "As always, her talent just makes us feel lacking."

Flora, who had been brushing one of Kali’s tails, spoke softly. "If anyone outside of this house heard that you, Madams, who are not even 300 years old, speak like that, they might faint."

Clara laughed. "Exactly. The Madams managed to reach the middle levels of four cultivation paths within 300 years and are still not satisfied."

The maids were just bantering, though. They knew perfectly well that the girls used Yasenia as their comparison and target. Kali pouted. "If my lover didn’t have that Dual Cultivation technique, we might not have been in the Immortal Realms yet!"

They were very talented, but if they had been left alone, they’d be at a talent level similar to Shang Qinqin, or perhaps even a touch worse. Yasenia’s Dual Cultivation influenced them tremendously.

Cecile blinked her icy blue eyes and suddenly smiled. "Speaking of Dual Cultivation, now all of you are having a small taste of it, aren’t you?"

The maids paused and blushed slightly. Flora spoke, a touch shy. "I admire the madams very much in that regard. In our case, one or two shots, and we are already done. Moreover, Young Miss has only used our mouths for now. I can’t imagine what level of pleasure we would receive if she went all the way."

Kali laughed, her fox tails involuntarily wagging slightly and wetting the maids. "Oh. Whoops. Sorry, I was just amused."

The maids grabbed the five tails and patted them. "There, there. Madam needs to learn how to control her tails better."

As they spoke together and laughed, Cecile looked at Kali and asked. "Have you checked this time?"

"Checked...? Ah. You mean if I checked the baby with spiritual sense? I have."

Kali smiled. "I like surprises, but that’s good enough for the first child. This time, I checked and, who would’ve thought, I have twins~. Two girls. Or, well, who knows if they will be truly girls."

Cecile blinked. "Hm... Should I check?"

Flora asked. "May I help, Madam?"

Cecile pondered and nodded. "Check for me, then. You are a Dryad, so your affinity with life should be great."

Flora stood up, leaving one of the long and large fox tails alone. Kali’s fox tails were quite gigantic compared to a normal fox. If she left them flopped, they would easily drag on the ground.

Flora approached Cecile and placed a hand on her lower stomach. "Let’s see... Mhm. A very healthy pregnancy. The pulse is stable, the placenta is sturdy and full of nutrients and life. As for the little one... A girl. One girl. Or, as Madam Kali said, a girl or perhaps not."

Cecile blinked and nodded. "It’s quite difficult to give birth to boys with Yasenia."

Kali shook her head. "I think the only ones who can give birth to pure boys are Yasenia and Andrea. Genetically speaking, we have a much larger chance of giving birth to a girl or a futanari, as Tatyana calls Yasenia’s gender."

Both of them finished their bath and returned, meeting with the other girls.
