Chapter 191: I have to go!
Chapter 191: I have to go!
Elion continued walking down the hallway while holding onto Isolde’s hand. She followed beside him awkwardly, her eyes fixed on where their hands were joined.
’Oh my god, he’s holding my hand!’ she screamed inwardly. ’What should I do!?’
Honestly, she had no idea.
When she first heard the rumors about what Elion had supposedly done to those three girls, her heart had dropped immediately.
She knew she should probably have been worried about them… but that wasn’t what came to her mind first.
Instead, she had been worried about him.
Not even for a moment had she believed that Elion would do something like that. He was too kind and too caring to ever hurt someone like that.
Her gaze drifted up to his broad back as he walked in front of her.
’He looks so strong… and so dependable.’
How had he gone from the weak Elion she used to pity every day to being… this?
She didn’t know.
But she liked this version of him.
No… it was more than just liking.
She liked talking to him. She liked spending time with him. She loved the way he smiled and the way he looked when he was relaxed. Even his touch made her feel strange.
Her thoughts suddenly drifted somewhere she desperately tried to forget.
That day… when she saw him with Nurse Beatrice in the empty classroom.
Her face instantly turned red.
’Stop thinking about that!’
But the thought crept back anyway.
’Does it feel… good?’ she wondered before quickly pushing the thought away again.
Then another idea appeared in her mind.
’What would it feel like to be one of his women?’
Aria and Mira always seemed so happy lately. Their smiles had been brighter than ever. She felt jealous. She wanted something like that for herself too.
’Does love really make you happier?’
It certainly looked that way.
Then a sudden realization struck her.
’Wait… is this love?’
Her cheeks flushed even deeper.
’Am I… in love with Elion?’
She wanted to deny it immediately.
It would be easier that way.
But when she thought about it…
She didn’t want it to be that simple.
Elion stopped in front of one of the training rooms. He opened the door slightly and peeked inside to check if anyone was there.
The room was empty.
He pushed the door open and stepped in, with Isolde following behind him. Once she was inside as well, he closed the door and finally let go of her hand.
“Isolde…”
No answer.
“Isolde… Isolde…”
He snapped his fingers lightly in front of her face.
“Huh—?”
She blinked rapidly, clearly startled out of her thoughts.
“Sorry,” she said quickly, her cheeks a little pink. “Did you say something?”
She had clearly been daydreaming, and getting caught flustered her.
“Our conversation earlier,” Elion said lightly. “I asked what you thought.”
“Oh… right.”
She looked down at her feet shyly, her fingers touching together in front of her nervously.
“There’s no way you would ever do something like that… right?” she asked quietly.
Elion paused for a moment before answering.
“You’re right,” he said with a small sigh. “William made the whole thing up to frame me. You’ll probably hear the full story soon.”
“Really?” she asked in surprise.
She frowned slightly, her expression almost adorable.
“He would really stoop that low?”
“Apparently,” Elion replied with a shrug.
Isolde glanced around the room and only then realized where they were.
“Oh… did you want to train with me?” she asked hopefully.
Elion smiled.
“Of course. It’s been a while since we last trained together.”
Then his tone shifted slightly, turning playful.
“Unless…”
He stepped a little closer.
“Maybe you had something more exciting in mind?”
Her pointed ears instantly turned red. The blush spread quickly to her cheeks as her breath caught.
Elion quietly activated his Love Meter, just to confirm what he already suspected.
[Isolde]

His smile widened slightly.
Sometimes… it really did feel too easy.
Isolde instinctively stepped back as he moved closer. Step by step. Until her back touched the wall.
Now, there was nowhere else for her to go.
Elion lifted his left hand and slammed it against the wall beside her head. The sudden motion made her flinch slightly, her body going stiff.
Then his other hand moved smoothly to her slender waist, wrapping gently around it.
Isolde’s heart skipped a beat when she felt his warm touch.
Elion’s hand slowly lifted from the wall and moved toward Isolde’s face. His fingers brushed lightly along her curved jawline before gently holding her chin and tilting it upward.
He leaned closer.
Inch by inch.
Isolde couldn’t move. Her whole body felt frozen as she stared at him.
’Is he… going to kiss me!?’
The thought sent a strange warmth through her body. Her heart raced wildly, and her legs suddenly felt weak, almost like jelly.
Then, slowly, she gave in.
Her eyes closed softly, and she pursed her lips a little, waiting to feel him on her mouth.
’At least she knows what she wants,’ Elion thought with a faint smile.
He leaned the rest of the way in, his own lips moving closer. Their lips met gently.
For a moment, they both felt the warmth of each other’s breath and the softness of the contact.
Then—
Creeeeeeaaak!!
The door suddenly opened wide.
Isolde jerked her head back in surprise and accidentally hit the wall behind her.
“Ouch!” she grimaced, quickly rubbing the back of her head.
Elion stepped back as well, their lips separating far too soon. Both of them felt the same quiet sense of disappointment at the interruption.
Three students walked into the room while talking loudly, clearly caught up in their conversation.
Two guys and one girl.
They probably hadn’t seen what had just happened. Isolde surely hoped so.
They gave Elion and Isolde simple nods of acknowledgment as they passed.
The girl, a redhead, glanced at Elion with a blushing “oh?” expression, but one of the guys quickly stepped in front of her line of sight as if to block her view.
She looked away guiltily, clearly ashamed that she had been caught.
Maybe he was her boyfriend.
The three of them moved to one corner of the training room and started their own practice, leaving Elion and Isolde standing awkwardly where they were.
Elion stepped closer and leaned near her ear.
“We can go somewhere else if you want to continue,” he whispered softly.
Isolde’s face turned bright red immediately. For a moment, it looked like she might actually agree, but then she quickly shook her head.
“I-I’m sorry,” she said, giving him a small bow.
“I have to go!”
She grabbed the hem of her dress tightly, turned around, and hurried toward the door. She opened it quickly and slipped out before slamming it shut behind her.
The three students in the room paused and looked over at Elion with strange expressions.
They exchanged glances with each other.
Then one of them shrugged.
“Lovers’ quarrel,” he muttered.
The others nodded in agreement before returning to their training.
Elion sighed quietly and ran a hand through his hair.
Then he walked toward the door as well.
Maybe he had overestimated her courage.
