Chapter 681: Chapter 606: Li Wei’s Divine Kingdom

One day.

Li Wei instigated a divine war in the Underworld.

He single-handedly challenged all the Divine Spirits of the Underworld.

The battle lasted for a long time.

The Divine Spirits of the Underworld relied on their home-turf advantage, attempting to draw Li Wei into a war of attrition.

Unable to defeat Li Wei, a war of attrition was their only option.

However, they did not expect Li Wei’s Divine Power to be far greater than they had ever imagined.

As the brilliance of one miniature supernova after another lit up the Underworld, the divine war that had raged for nearly three months finally came to an end.

Every Divine Spirit in the Underworld had fallen.

Some Divine Spirits, unwilling to let Li Wei seize their Divine Formats, self-detonated them at the last moment, refusing to grant him the prize.

For Li Wei, however, it was no longer important whether he seized the Divine Formats of the Underworld’s Divine Spirits.

He already possessed more than enough Power of Laws.

One might even say he had too much.

It was on the verge of becoming a burden.

After annihilating all the Divine Spirits of the Underworld, Li Wei began his attempt to take control of all its Authority of Law.

A year later, he made a surprising discovery: the Underworld’s Authority of Law was not independent.

It was intrinsically linked to the Sky Dome World.

The two worlds were like two sides of the same coin, one the inverse of the other.

Unlike the Abyss or the Netherworld, the Underworld and the Sky Dome World were too tightly interconnected.

He could not control the entire Underworld unless he first gained complete mastery over all the Authority of Law in the Sky Dome World.

Li Wei was somewhat disappointed that he had failed to get a glimpse of the gods’ ultimate plan.

He had slaughtered every Divine Spirit in the Underworld.

The gods were likely even pleased by this.

After all, the gods had wanted to eliminate all the native Divine Spirits of the Sky Dome World to begin with.

However, the gods seemed to care little for the Divine Spirits of the Underworld.

This was most likely because the Divine Spirits of the Underworld were all Low-Rank Deities.

Their power was not immense, and the Authority of Law they commanded had little influence over the world.

More importantly, the Divine Spirits of the Underworld were not as intransigent as those of the Sky Dome World.

The Divine Spirits of the Underworld had even hoped to join the ranks of the gods.

They were willing to offer up the entire Sky Dome World and Underworld in exchange for a chance to join them.

With their enemies practically begging to defect, it was natural that the gods paid the Underworld’s Divine Spirits no mind.

Li Wei’s Divine Thought swept across the entire Underworld.

Since the fall of all its Divine Spirits, the Underworld had been plunged into immense chaos.

Factions everywhere were constantly at war.

Members of the Dark Races even prayed to Li Wei, offering him their faith.

Li Wei never responded to any of his would-be followers.

Realizing he could not control the Underworld independently, Li Wei switched to his backup plan.

He would use the Underworld to test the grand reformation he planned to enact in the Sky Dome World.

First, he needed to introduce the Magic Net to the Underworld.

He would have the Magic Net cover the entire realm.

Li Wei already had the full support of the Magic Goddess.

This would not be difficult for him to achieve.

As the Magic Net expanded throughout the Underworld, Ring Mages gradually began to appear.

Ring Mages from the Dark Races.

As long as they earned the Magic Net’s approval, any being, regardless of race, could become a Ring Mage.

The Magic Goddess had never refused any individual who wished to become a Mage.

Li Wei expended his Divine Power to accelerate the Magic Net’s fusion with the Underworld.

This process took half a year.

While the Magic Net was fusing with the Underworld, Li Wei took the opportunity to travel across the entire realm, gaining a comprehensive understanding of it.

Unlike the Sky Dome World, the Underworld was much smaller.

The vast majority of its area was uninhabitable bedrock.

Only a few vast, open caverns nurtured the Underworld’s unique native races.

These were the Dark Races, living in perpetual darkness and surviving solely on the Underworld’s natural ecosystem.

In the narrow sense, the “Underworld” referred to the regions inhabited by the Dark Races.

In the broader sense, it encompassed the entire space on the reverse side of the Sky Dome World.

Li Wei’s reformation plan only concerned the Underworld in its narrow sense.

Once the Magic Net enveloped the entire Underworld, Li Wei began his reformation.

He used the Elemental Birth and Destruction Law, the Magic Net, the Natural Law, and many other sources of Power to alter the large-scale Rules of the Underworld.

This would consume a massive amount of Divine Power.

Li Wei was long prepared for this.

In the Star Realm, Li Wei was converting the stars near the Sky Dome World into his own Divine Power at the astonishing rate of one per month.

Now, all the starlight visible to the naked eye came from Li Wei’s Divine Power Suns.

Backed by a double-digit number of Divine Power Suns, he possessed a nearly inexhaustible supply of Power. This was the only reason he could undertake such an insane plan to remake the world.

The Dark Races living in the Underworld discovered that their world would occasionally go haywire, causing incomprehensible events to occur.

The Dark Races regarded these incomprehensible events as miracles from that new Divine Spirit.

Some Dark Races even held special ceremonies to worship the Divine Spirit near the sites of these strange occurrences.

The atmosphere in the Underworld grew bizarre.

The Dark Races began to revere the strange and uncanny.

In a world dominated by Divine Spirits, this was not surprising.

Any action by a Divine Spirit, even one that was difficult or impossible to comprehend, could inspire fanatical worship and be seen as a miracle by their foolish believers.

Li Wei’s reformation of the Underworld caused the frequency of these bizarre events to rise dramatically.

The people of one region in the Underworld suddenly discovered their dead were rising again.

However, they had become mindless corpses.

In other areas, unkillable individuals appeared who could not be destroyed by any means.
