Chapter 2541: For Revenge.

What is likely to happen is that the god of illusion will gain the authority of the pathway of illusion, the pathway of dreams, and the pathway of telepathy while he is struggling to survive with an incomplete body.

Letting everyone know what had happened to him wasn’t going to benefit him in any way, but he still went ahead to publicize what had happened. This is because he wants revenge against Legion at all cost.

He still hasn’t given up, though. His current goal is to go to the vault of gold to sell the information he has about Legion there. He picked the vault of gold because their god is a little trustworthy when it comes to business.

Only the god of merchants might not kill him immediately and would make a deal with him. If things go well for him, he will start a cult and use rue faith to sustain his soul. From there, he will work towards creating a complete angel of telepathy.

He said to himself with grim determination, “As long as he doesn’t fuse completely with the pathway, I will always have a chance to return.”

This is also another reason why he released the news about his demise to the public. He wants the god of illusion to help him delay Legion.

The best situation that he hopes for is for the god of illusion and Legion to waste each other’s time and energy. Then he can swoop in and take advantage of both of them.

But even if that doesn’t happen, he will be glad as long as the person who killed him fails to become god and is also killed.

This thought lingered in his mind as he manipulated his host into seeking the headquarters of the vault of gold. His host thought that he was receiving revelation from a god. The man wasn’t completely wrong.

Meanwhile, the news about the death of the god of dreams quickly spread around the world. It became popular that even the gods heard about it.

The god of illusion also heard about it. When he did, he snorted and said, “I’m not surprised. This should have happened a long time ago. He was too weak and undeserving of the position of god. The only reason he ever became a god was luck.”

For many years, the god of illusion has hunted him and tried to kill the god of dreams. But the god of dreams was a complete coward who never left the safety of the dream realm.

The god of dreams also killed every vessel or servant that he created in the pathway of dreams to take over the position of the god of the pathway. All of these things have frustrated the god of illusion, so he was glad that the god of dreams was killed.

After mocking his bitter rival, he turned to more serious matters. He focused his attention on trying to find the person who killed the god of dreams before they could fuse with the Seed of Dreams and become as difficult to kill as the god of dreams.

He thought to himself, “This is not good at all. Whoever killed the god of dreams must be stronger and trickier than the god of dreams. So they will be difficult to deal with. If they fuse with the Seed of Dreams, I will be doomed.”

He mocked the god of dreams for being weak, but he, too, began feeling fear because the death of the god of dreams is not a good thing for him at all.

He felt like he had no time to waste at all, so he decided to use his rank 8 divine ability called Storytelling. He used this divine ability to write a story in which he would meet the person who killed the god of dreams and fight them before they could fuse with the Seed of Dreams.

He wrote of an epic fight between him and that person, which ended with his victory and the death of the person. He even picked a location for the battle and put it in the story.

After he was done writing the story, he gave it to his subordinate gods and the priests of his church. These people spread the story across the world. Soon, many people across many kingdoms heard the story.

The god of illusion has a church that serves as a strong source of faith for him, so he is very strong. Once he gets the Mind Palace and the Seed of Dreams, he will become much stronger.

But the only use of his church isn’t as a source of power. His church is more useful than simply providing power for him.

The usefulness of his church is to serve as a dedicated group of people who will believe whatever he says. This is very important for the Storytelling divine ability to work.

The Storytelling divine ability can be used to write a story or an event that isn’t real and has not happened. But once enough people believe in the story, it will come to pass. So a church helps him to turn his fictional stories into reality.

The best part is that when his stories come to pass, they reinforce the faith of his believers in him. This causes their faith to grow stronger, which in turn makes him stronger and makes it easier for his stories to come to pass.

Thanks to the strong belief of his believers, his stories always come to pass. This time won’t be an exception. It is only a matter of time for him to meet and fight Legion.

No matter how long it takes, as long as many people continue to believe in his story, it will happen. He was full of confidence about this because even his story about the death of the god of dreams had finally come to pass.
