Chapter 2530: Finding A Needle.

The god of dreams was able to gain the help of the god of seers and the god of fate. This made the job of finding a needle in a haystack a feasible prospect for him.

The god of seers gave him a subordinate god to help him search for Legion, while the god of fate pointed him in the right direction to look for Legion by telling him to start searching.

The god of fate couldn’t find Legion because of the divine abilities of their undying pathway, but she could find, among the infinite possibilities of the future, the one possibility where the god of dreams found Legion.

It is a fact that if the god of dreams searched every inch of the world for an infinite amount of time, he would find Legion because the possibility of finding Legion is not zero. It is just that the god of dreams can find Legion in one minute or a thousand years.

How much time it would take the god of dreams to find Legion is dependent on luck. What the god of fate did was to eliminate the need for luck by removing all possibilities where the god of dreams didn’t find Legion quickly, and instead single out the possibility where the god of dreams found Legion quickly.

Once the god of fate found this possibility, she brought it to pass by giving the god of dreams information about where he would go in the future, and he found Legion quickly.

The god of dreams took this information and the godling seer to the location he was told to go. When they got there, what they found was a destroyed village.

This village had been leveled by a storm. This wasn’t important to them. What was important to them was that the storm that destroyed the village was a spiritual storm.

The godling seer was able to determine that someone had become a godling in the village and that it was the eruption of spiritual energy as it was fused with life energy and transformed into divine energy that caused the storm.

The god of dreams didn’t want to believe this, as it would mean that the angel of telepathy that he was searching for had become a godling of telepathy so soon after he became an angel. But he didn’t doubt the conclusion of the godling seer, and he didn’t doubt the god of fate saying that the destruction of this village was related to the person he was looking for.

Instead of doubting the people who are skilled at finding people, he decided to follow the trail that had appeared. He asked the godling seer to find the source of the spiritual storm. And so began his tracking of Legion.

Legion was constantly moving around, but they were not in a rush about it, so their speed couldn’t compare to the speed of the two people chasing them. And for some reason, they didn’t sense any danger, so they continued to be relaxed.

By the time they sensed something wrong, the god of dreams had found them. To be specific, the god of dreams had found Legion-12.

Well, it was the subordinate god of seers that saw Legion-12. The god of dreams couldn’t see Legion-12 at all.

When the subordinate god said that he had found Legion-12, the god of dreams didn’t want to believe him and thought that he was joking because he couldn’t accept the fact that a subordinate god could see something that a god couldn’t see.

But then he remembered that seers have special eyes that can see past any barriers and illusions, so he chose to believe the subordinate seer.

However, believing is not as good as seeing. Without seeing Legion, he won’t be able to use most of the methods that he prepared to make it impossible for them to escape. He could only attack indiscriminately and hope for the best.

The god of fate had said that he would surely be happy to encounter Legion. This gave him the confidence to go ahead with the indiscriminate attack.

He ordered the vessel he was using to smash the area that the seer pointed out as where Legion-12 was located. This vessel is a subordinate god of the pathway of dreaming, so she has the ability to borrow his ultimate ability.

The subordinate god is not a vessel created with his souls, but he can still use her to channel his power because he is the god of dreams. If he can use a telepath that doesn’t belong to his pathway as his puppet, he can surely use a dreamer that is extra vulnerable to him.

In fact, this subordinate god didn’t want to become a subordinate god at all. She was content being an angel and would have preferred to become a godling since she had a compatible innate talent.

But she knew that it was unlikely for her to get her wish, so she didn’t bother to do anything to impress him. Unfortunately, that didn’t save her from her fate.

He had forcefully bestowed a divine fragment onto her and forcefully bound her existence to his. Then he took over her mind by force. Now he is using her to traverse the physical world in search of Legion while his main body remains in the dream world.

A godling who relied on their innate talent to advance can’t borrow the ultimate divine ability of the pathway. Not unless they are in possession of the authority of the pathway.

Only a subordinate god can borrow the ultimate ability of the pathway when there is a god in the pathway. Godlings who are independent of the god don’t have this privilege.

But being able to borrow the power of a god is has it caveats. Being able to borrow the power of a god means that the god of the pathway can channel his or her power through them. If this is possible, then it is also possible that the god of the pathway can easily possess the subordinate god.
