Chapter 2521: A Bolt Out Of The Blue.

The giant said to himself, “This killer is impressive. Too bad he embarked on the wrong pathway.”

He was impressed, but no matter how in awe he was of Legion-2, he wouldn’t stop trying to seal Legion-2 forever. Just like he said earlier to Legion-2 when he found out that Legion-2 was also an angel, there are worse things than death. He wants to make that promise come to pass, and he is willing to do so regardless of his admiration for Legion-2.

But because Legion-2 was struggling so much, what should have taken five seconds to complete was extended into a minute. The immediate repercussion was that he was burning through divine energy quickly.

He can recover divine energy if he wants to. He can just let the god of guardians resurrect him again. But if he does that, he will have to die. This will break the white light since the Seal ultimate ability will be deactivated once he dies. So Legion-2 will be able to escape during the process he is reviving.

But if he doesn’t allow himself to die and runs out of divine energy, Legion-2 will escape. In order to prevent this, he stopped using the Invincible divine ability and the Juggernaut divine ability. After all, he doesn’t need them anymore.

The deactivation of these two divine abilities reduced the expenditure of divine ability. So he smiled and said, “I’ve finally gotten him. I wonder if undying godclads will continue to love forever if they are sealed within the authority of a pathway.”

He was already dreaming of victory. But then a bolt of red lightning appeared from a distance and shot towards him.

The attack appeared when he had let down his guard and was at his weakest. He was also preoccupied with something else.

If he were an ordinary godling, he would have been helpless to do anything to stop this attack. But he wasn’t an ordinary godling. He had a god supporting him.

Before the bolt of lightning struck him, a white shield appeared around the giant to protect him. Unfortunately, the bolt of red lightning pierced through the white shield.

Even though the white shield failed to stop the red bolt of lightning, it managed to give the giant time to activate his Invincible divine ability.

The giant’s body took on a black metallic sheen after the Invincible divine ability was activated. This blocked the red bolt of lightning.

Unfortunately, the cost of blocking the bolt of lightning was too high. The giant couldn’t maintain the immense expenditure and would soon collapse under the pressure.

The giant had to deactivate the Seal divine ability on Legion-2 and use it on the red bolt of lightning instead. The effect was immediate. The rampaging bolt of lightning became trapped in the white fabric and was quickly subdued.

However, this success came at the cost of freeing Legion-2. Without anything holding him back, Legion-2 rushed forward with tentacles that were glowing with the same red light of the bolt of lightning. This was an indication that the Sever divine ability was being used in them.

The giant roared in desperation as he activated all of his power to stop the red bolt of lightning and Legion-2. He used the Berserk divine ability, the Overload divine ability, and the Earth Boost divine ability. He was literally at his strongest.

Unfortunately, it still wasn’t enough to block the attack of a killer. When the tentacles struck his body, the metallic sheen of the Invincible divine ability lasted for a fraction of a second. Then it collapsed.

Once the metallic sheen disappeared, the giant became defenseless. He knew he would die, so he reversed the white fabric and threw it towards Legion-2 again.

This time, Legion-2 was too close, so he couldn’t avoid it. But there was also something different about the white fabric this time around.

The white fabric shrank and adhered to Legion-2’s body. It formed a second layer of skin around Legion-2. Then it became invisible, and it disappeared.

As this happened, the giant laughed and said, “You’re good. You’re very good. Carry my mantle from now on. With the two of us working together, no one will be able to get the Ocean of Blood. I have great faith in you. Do a good job.”

This didn’t stop Legion-2 from finishing what he started, though. He still cleaved the giant apart with his bloody tentacles. They looked like tentacles, but they were more like blades made out of his blood. Once they touched the giant, his body was torn to pieces.

But even the pieces of his flesh were not spared. What was left of the red bolt of lightning pounced on him and turned him to ashes.

The Life Anchor divine ability was still working on the giant. But even this couldn’t save him after the Blood Sacrifice turned his existence into scattered ashes. This is because anything killed by the Blood Sacrifice divine ability cannot be resurrected.

Even the god of guardians who was connected to the giant was struck by the remnant power of the Blood Sacrifice divine ability. Unfortunately, the power of the bolt of lightning was not strong enough or the god of guardians would have died too.

All that was left of the giant was the colorful divine fragment. Legion-2 absorbed it and rushed towards the Ocean of Blood.

His hand was about to touch the Ocean of Blood. But he stopped because, as he reached out to grab the Ocean of Blood, he felt danger. The danger was coming from all around him. To be specific, the danger was coming from the invisible skin around him.

Once he probed the invisible skin with his divine energy, he was able to understand why he sensed danger. Apparently, the invisible skin is a curse.

The curse will explode and kill him if anyone takes the Ocean of Blood. So not only can he not take the Ocean of Blood, no one else can take it.
