Chapter 2485: Struggle For Ownership.

If this dream island, which belongs to the current owner of the authority of the pathway of telepathy, is destroyed, the owner will die in the real world and the Mind Palace will drop out of them.

Once the Mind Palace loses its current owner, it will return to its previous ownerless state in the Mind Palace, so the god of dreams won’t be able to use or control it even if this dream island is destroyed.

If the god of dreams wants to control the Mind Palace, he will have to find the body of the owner of the dream island so that he can be there with his angel of telepathy that he possessed to take the Mind Palace or hide it when the current owner dies.

The need to take control of the Mind Palace, if only temporarily, is why the god of dreams possessed the first angel of telepathy. Without this angel to do his bidding, killing the current owner of the Mind Palace will only return it to its previous state of being ownerless.

Once the current owner of the Mind Palace dies, the first angel of telepathy will take ownership of it and keep it safe for his veesel to advance to rank 1. Only with the special vessel that he crafted can the god of dreams take direct control of the Mind Palace.

But for the plan of the god of dreams to work, he has to to find the owner of the dream island in the physical dimension first before he can make his move. He also has to do all of these without any of the other gods noticing, or they will interfere in his plan to grow stronger.

He especially has to hide his actions from the god of illusions. If the god of illusions notices what he is doing, she will definitely interfere and try to snatch the Mind Palace from him.

In fact, the god of illusion might already be doing something to get the Mind Palace. He won’t be surprised by it and he won’t be surprised that he hasn’t noticed her doing anything because she is the controller of the domain of illusions.

Be that as it may, he has to fight the god of illusion if he must. He has to do so for his personal power. Even if he can’t get the Mind Palace, he has to make sure that the god of illusion doesn’t get it either.

He is doing all of this because he doesn’t want to become like the god of killing who let himself be consumed by his authority and lost his mind.

In order to avoid the fate of losing his mind to his authority, he has to find another authority that is similar to his and will be able to enhance his power without clashing with the current authority that he is in possession of.

The authority of the pathway of telepathy fit his requirements just like the authority of knights fit the requirements of the god of nobles.

In fact, the pathway of dreams and the pathway of telepathy complement each other. They both have divine abilities that affect the minds, so they belong to the mental domain.

This means that if the god of dreams acquires the Mind Palace, it will help him grow stronger without any issue. So Legion must die, and his vessel must become the god of telepathy instead.

The god of dreams said to himself, “He should be at the second level of control. No matter his talent, it should take him at least a hundred years to fuse with something so big and powerful. So I still have a lot of time to find and end him.”

Meanwhile, in the physical dimension, Legion was in a good mood. They were in a good mood because they had gained physical control of the Mind Palace and because their fusion progress with it was fast.

Legion-10 said in excitement, “At this rate, we will be done fusing with this thing in one year.”

The rate of fusion had actually increased ever since they absorbed it into their body.

Before they went to the Mindscape to get it, the speed of fusion was so slow that it would have taken them at least a hundred years to fully make it part of their existence.

But after the Mind Palace entered their body, their innate talent took effect, so the Mind Palace stopped resisting them. Without the resistance, the speed of fusion then increased by a hundred times.

The only thing holding them back from having a faster speed was the fact that the Mind Palace was too big. It was more than ten thousand times their size, and it also contained a lot of power. If not for this, they would be done assimilating it by now.

Even though they were not fusing with the Mind Palace as fast as they wanted, they were at peace and content because the Mind Palace was now with them, and no one could take it from them without killing them.
