Chapter 2465: Divine Power.

One month ago, they had just advanced to rank 8 in the pathway of slavery. After that, they went to the spiritual dimension to acquire the rank 8 divine flesh of the pathway of killing. It was then that they fought three rank 8 killers.

That was a short while ago. But a lot of things have happened to them since then.

In just one month, they went from having only one rank 8 pathway and three rank 7 pathways to having one rank 9 pathway and three rank 8 pathways. This caused both the power of their mind and spirit to double.

The power of the different aspects of their body increased from 1,280 to 2,560 units, while the power of their spirit increased from 2,560 to 5,120 units. But the increase to the power of their body is not significant because of the empowerment of the Power of Wealth divine ability.

They have used the rank 4 Power of Wealth divine ability to enhance the power of their physique to the limit of the pathway. This limit is 10,240 units.

10,240 units is the maximum limit that anyone within rank 1 to rank 9 can achieve using any method. The only way to break that limit is to become a godling, become a god, or have a god share part of their power to turn someone into a subordinate god.

Currently, they have achieved that limit in their body. As for their spiritual power, they haven’t reached that limit yet. But they have a plan to reach that limit even if only temporary.

Aside from their raw power, after they became an angel, they gained a new addition to their power called divine power.

This divine power is the combination of the enhancement of the three souls in their pathway and the nine divine flesh they have assimilated.

They gained the enhancement of their three souls when they first became legends. Before then, only the spiritual power of one soul in the pathway could be used to empower divine abilities.

But after becoming legends, they could use the combined spiritual power of the three souls in their pathway to utilize their divine flesh and produce power.

The only drawbacks for this power were that the power of the three souls could only enhance the power of the body, and the empowerment could only be achieved in a liberated state, which increased the chances of losing control and going mad.

When they became demigods, they gained another source of power, which was the phantoms of their divine forms. This helped demigods gain physical enhancement without liberating their bodies into their divine forms.

The enhancement of the phantom of the divine form at rank 8 was the start of the enhancement of divine flesh to godclads.

In the past, it was the spirit that empowered the divine flesh. The stronger the spirit, the more powerful the divine ability.

But after becoming demigods, the divine flesh began to empower godclads in other ways aside from granting access to divine abilities. This enhancement has increased after they became angels.

The maximum enhancement of divine power is nine times that of the liberated state because angels possess nine divine flesh. So even if demigods, legends, and epic godclads have the same spiritual power as angels, angels will still be 9 times stronger than demigods and legends and also 27 times stronger than epic godclads.

This ninefold enhancement is not free, though. It can only be enjoyed by complete angels that have managed to subdue their avatars either through their own strength or with the help of other angels and gods.

Plus, the ninefold enhancement is only the maximum possible empowerment. The realistic amount of it that can be enjoyed even by a complete angel is dependent on the average mastery of divine abilities.

Someone with a 100% average mastery of all nine divine abilities will be able to enjoy the total ninefold enhancement of the divine power of angels, while someone with a 90% average mastery like Legion can only enjoy 90% of the ninefold enhancement.

So for Legion, the enhancement of divine power is 24.3 times instead of 27 times. With this power, even if they have the same spiritual power as an epic godclad who used some means to enhance their spiritual power, such as using the Bloodthirsty development vine ability, they will be able to become 24.3 times stronger than that godclad by liberating their divine form.

The main caveat to this problem is that the enhancement can only be enjoyed when the power of the divine flesh in the body is combined to release the divine beast form. So the threat of madness is still present.

In fact, the threat of madness is stronger than ever before. After all, the divine flesh in the body has completely awakened. their consciousnesses and can even rebel at any time.

Despite this big problem of losing control, angels seek the enhancement of divine power as a trump card because without it, they won’t be any different from an epic being who used some method to enhance their spiritual power to the level of an angel.

Without divine power, an angel will become easy to deal with by other angels. This is one of the reasons why angels of killing have stood no chance against the hunt of the church of justice.
