GREED: ALL FOR WHAT?

Chapter 2372: Kill! Kill!

Chapter 2372: Kill! Kill!

The very presence of the horned tiger was fsr more dangerous than its gaze. The aura it brought with it caused a massive wave of spiritual pressure to impact everyone and everything.

It was a side a bomb of wayward spiritual energy had gone off above the city. Invisible power swept through the city like a hurricane.

The hurricane of spiritual impact didn’t harm physical objects. Only living things felt the spiritual impact.

The souls of every living being in the city swayed in the hurricane desperately trying to hold on to their bodies in order not to blown away.

For those with weak souls, the connection between their souls and their body was severed. This caused instant death.

Any mortal still alive in the city began to die because of the spiritual impact. Be they human or beast, they all died and they died quickly without any resistance.

Normal godclads quickly followed in their footsteps. They held on for longer, but the spiritual hurricane was too strong for them. Their souls drifted away from their bodies, which led to their deaths.

Then epic godclads began to sway and swoon too. They didn’t die outright, but they began to lose control and mutate because of the spiritual impact.

They were struggling to remain alive and their souls were struggling to remain connected to their bodies. But their divine flesh was taking the opportunity to subvert control over their body. This is what caused the loss of control.

Just the appearance of the tiger caused a massive wave of death to ensue in the city. But this was far from enough for the tiger. It craved something more.

It wanted to see something more violent. It yearned for violence just like a fish on land yearns for water.

It looked at everything beneath it with disdain and said, “Kill!”

It said only one word. Then it swiped its claws at the people below.

Red light blossomed from its claws and swept through the world like wind. But unlike wind, everything the red wind passed was cut cleanly in two.

One legendary noble was cut into pieces despite shielding himself with the power of his domain. His body and soul were both shredded by the combined power of the Sever and Stun divine abilities.

The sight was tragic. Nothing could stand in the way of the red light sweeping the world.

This was the might of the Sever divine ability. Its appearance meant death was close, and contact with it meant that death had arrived.

The demigod saw this and despaired. She screamed in anguish, “Noooooooooo!”

She was already losing control but now the city was being destroyed and the other legends were dying right before her eyes. So she was losing more and more reasons to keep fighting and resisiting her wayward divine flesh.

What she saw made her become determined. She said with equal parts of bitterness and determination, “So you are hell-bent on killing me. So be it. Let us go down together.”

For some unknown reason, her divine flesh were acting out again and causing her to lose control. But she didn’t want to resist anymore.

She was probably going to lose control anyway. But instead of letting that happen against her will, she willingly surrendered her consciousness to her divine flesh and began to transform. This way she will go down fighting.

Her frail bony figure shifted into that of a giant peacock. The peacock flapped its wings and rushed into the air to fight the red tiger.

The red tiger roared in excitement and transformed again. Red tails made of blood blossomed from behind it and began attacking everyone around it.

The two divine beasts began to fight in the air. One was the avatar of the angel of killing. The other was a demigod that had lost control.

The avatar was alone, so its physical strength couldn’t keep up with that of the blue peacock. But the power of its divine abilities was equal to that of an angel because even though it had just one soul as its source of power, that single soul possessed the spiritual power of an angel.

It was unclear who would win the fight. But in the meantime, the two of them were at a stalemate.

Despite fighting in the air, the ground was not spared. Stray attacks from the sky fell onto the ground and carved the ground like a hot knife through butter.

The other avatar, who was hidden nearby, had first been frustrated that the tiger came to ruin his fun. But as he watched the two divine beasts fight, he became expectant and excited.

He hid himself and behaved like a mortal while cheering them on silently. “That’s it. Fight to the death.”

He is hoping that the fight will lead to the defeat of the tiger or at least make the tiger weak enough for him to take advantage of it.

He wants this to happen instead of helping the avatar because it is related to the deal he made with his divine flesh and him maintaining his sanity.

This tiger is one of the avatars created with his divine flesh. So it is his enemy, not his friend.

According to the deal they made, he is to prove himself stronger and better than the original god of killing who the pathway came from.

He and his divine flesh had essentially made a bet. That was how he managed to subdue them.

To win this bet, he must defeat all of them. Until he does that, he won’t be able to use their divine abilities and their soul to enhance his power.

So he is currently a half-baked angel. Until he defeats all of his avatars, he won’t be able to use the full capabilities of an angel. It is why he currently can’t liberate his divine form.

This particular tiger has managed to kill two other avatars. That’s why it can use two more divine abilities.
