GREED: ALL FOR WHAT?

Chapter 2305: Red Thunder.

Vakin’s instincts had been honed in the many battles that he has had for over a century now. So he knew that he was in terrible danger.

Yet, there was nothing that he could do other than brace himself for the impact by making sure that his Copper Skin and Bones were fully activated.

The red blade in the sky fell to the ground like a flash of thunder. But instead of the white light seen before the sound of thunder, there was a red flash of light.

Everyone could see this red flash of light. It dyed the world for a brief instant. Then there was nothing else but a shower of blood.

Vakin had been split in half. He was cut cleanly by the guillotine from his neck, through his chest, and down to his crotch. Even his souls were severed, so he was instantly dead in body and soul.

The soldiers of the army of nobles saw this and felt a chill along their backs. Even the rank 6 shivered. It felt as if something sharp had scraped across his skin. It made him feel as if he had avoided raw calamity.

A great and powerful godclad had just died. But that didn’t mean the fighting would stop. If anything, the fight will get more desperate and brutal.

The judges and knights in the army of the church of justice cheered. Then they swarmed forward to submerge their enemies and bury them in this place.

Commander Isaac dropped Deon from his ride and told it to rest. He couldn’t keep riding it because the beast had reached its limit. It needed to rest and heal from the terrible injuries it had sustained from that punch.

If the punch had struck it outside of its body and had to pass through its whole body, it would have been able to take four of the punches before it became critically injured and in danger of dying.

But it had let Vakin’s punch hit it in the mouth. This caused its throat, lungs, and even heart to be damaged directly and severely. So it was currently bleeding profusely within its body.

If Vakin were still alive, it would have been easy for him to take the life of the beast. Unfortunately, he was gone. The beast was in so little danger now despite being on the battlefield that it could even sleep.

Commander Isaac left it to rest while he joined his soldiers to fight their enemies. Without anyone to hold him back, their enemies were doomed again.

He activated Army Breaker and synchronized every soldier in the army. This way they were able to attack and defend together.

The judges first used their Shackle divine ability. This bound up the enemies in front of them and made them sitting ducks for the knights to cut down.

While some judges and knights worked together to slowly and surely cut down their enemies like grass. Some knights used the Fire of Sin divine to wreak havoc on the battlefield.

Any enemy that tried to resist was ganged up on immediately and destroyed quickly. Commander Isaac liked to focus on the tough enemies with all his might first. Only when he had destroyed resistance did he like to destroy the weaklings.

The morale of the soldiers of the army of nobles was already halfway down after Vakin died. Now that they were being slaughtered, they began to scatter en masse.

They were running for their dear life, but Isaac wasn’t willing to let them go. He had the runners flanked by knights to prevent them from scattering too much.

He only left them one direction to escape in, which was backwards. Unfortunately, running backwards meant stampeding on each other. This further slowed them down.

The rank 6 noble had stopped using Setting Rules to suppress Isaac. When he saw how his army was breaking right before his eyes and saw how Isaac sneered at him from afar, he decided that it was in his best interests to run.

However, he ran into a bit of a problem when he was retreating. An army suddenly appeared before him.

The army was a group of white armored knights riding white horses. They had somehow crept up behind him without him noticing.

In fact, the army seemed to have appeared out of thin air. There was nothing to indicate their presence until they suddenly appeared.

The rank 6 noble knew that he was screwed now that he had been pincered between two armies. Still, he urged his horse forward in order to escape.

Unfortunately, two rank 6 warriors came out to stop him. They might not be able to defeat him, but they can surely slow him down for Isaac to arrive.

Actually, Isaac didn’t need to come over. The judges in the army used the fire of sin on the rank 6 noble.

Even though he had an Aegis Shield divine artifact on him, it was only a matter of time before he would be burned to ashes because 11 judges had used the Fire of Sin on him. Combined with the assault of the two rank 6 warriors, he was doomed.

As for the retreating army behind him, they too were doomed. They had been forced to escape in one direction. Now they had reached a dead end with no way out.

They were chickens that had been corralled into a barn. They were pressed on both sides and were slowly ground to pieces.

The funny thing was that the noble and the fleeing soldiers were actually standing still. Some of them were jumping about, but most of them were standing still.

Another funny thing was that there were only three people blocking their way, not an army of thousands of white knights. One of these three people was a lady, while the other two were men.

The lady was dressed in a white robe, while the two men wore black skin-tight combat clothes. The lady stood still with her eyes closed while the two mean walked around slitting the throats of the stunned nobles and the fleeing soldiers.
