The passage was long and lined with security cameras.

Wu Liangchen descended at great speed, only to find his path blocked by a heavy, titanium alloy gate.

While Tian Zhong Mountain had provided him with a great deal of information about the factory, circumstances meant the intel couldn’t be exhaustive.

This gate, for instance, had obviously been built recently.

Anyone else would have likely been stopped dead in their tracks.

But Wu Liangchen only paused to think for a moment before walking over to a nearby switch on the wall.

It was the power switch for the hallway lights, but it had been locked shut. A key was needed to either turn it on or off.

Soon, Wu Liangchen’s Telekinesis followed the power lines and infiltrated the gate not far away.

Just as he expected.

The gate’s electronic lock wasn’t on an independent power supply; it was connected to the same grid as the hallway lights.

’This makes things easy.’

With a single thought from Wu Liangchen, the gate’s internal circuits shorted out. The mechanical components were damaged as well, and the gate slid open a crack.

Wu Liangchen didn’t hesitate. He pushed the gate open and stepped inside.

Inside was a massive, brightly-lit factory floor, bustling with workers.

Along production lines that looked incredibly advanced, numerous robotic arms were busy with assembly.

Wu Liangchen’s arrival didn’t attract the workers’ attention.

After all, the gate hadn’t sounded an alarm, which must have meant he entered legitimately.

He was an unfamiliar face, and far too young, but perhaps he was an inspector sent by the family.

He could even be one of the family’s own scions.

Wu Liangchen quickly scanned the factory floor. Everything looked completely normal—it was just a workshop for manufacturing various mechanical devices. A flicker of doubt crossed his mind.

’But these people were never seen leaving, so there was every reason to believe some kind of illegal experiments were being conducted here.’

As Wu Liangchen was pondering this, a man who looked like a supervisor hurried over, his forehead beaded with sweat.

The moment he saw Wu Liangchen, he began bowing and scraping, his face a mask of fawning servility.

"Excuse me, are you the inspector sent from corporate?"

They passed the impressive-looking production lines and came to an inconspicuous door. The supervisor stepped forward to open it, then turned back to Wu Liangchen, his face plastered with a wide grin.

"Sir, it’s right in here!"

"Hn. Lead the way."

Wu Liangchen felt no fear, but he remained cautious, making the supervisor walk ahead of him.

"Yes, sir!"

But just as they were about to step through the doorway, a piercing alarm suddenly blared.

It was the highest-level alarm, signaling that an intruder had been detected.

The supervisor trembled. He knew instantly that things had gone wrong and tried to slam the door shut.

But it was too late. The moment the alarm rang out, Wu Liangchen knew his cover was blown.

’Still, this is good enough.’

’At least I’ve reached the core of the facility. Once I get what I came for, there’ll be no more need to hide.’

So with a flick of his finger, he sent a steel ball bearing straight through the supervisor’s skull.

This was a little trinket Wu Liangchen had discovered after arriving in the Alliance.

And then he saw one of the darkest scenes humanity had to offer.

This section of the factory was filled with countless display specimens.

They were all submerged in nutrient solution, and on some of the specimens, you could still faintly see the terror they felt before death.

Even though Wu Liangchen had prepared himself, he was still stunned by the sight.

He thought he had already seen the depths of these families’ depravity, but he had still underestimated them.

They shattered the floor of human decency time and time again. Even the devils in hell would feel inadequate after witnessing their deeds.

’They truly deserve to die!’

After a brief surge of anger, Wu Liangchen quickly calmed himself, activated the recorder he carried, and began filming everything.

He had just finished when the sound of frantic footsteps echoed from outside.

Wu Liangchen was fearless. With a backhand strike, he shattered a switch on the wall. His Telekinesis flooded into it, instantly cutting power to the entire factory.

Not only that, but the overhead lights also began to burst under the force of his Telekinesis.
