Chapter 461: Chapter 327: Wanted City-Wide

A heavyset man burst through the door and looked around. His eyes lit up when he spotted Tian Zhongshan sitting in the corner.

He walked straight over, plopped down into a seat, and waved at the waitress behind the counter.

"Annie, the usual. Ten loaded beef burgers and a large Coke."

Tian Zhongshan’s brow furrowed. The fast-food joint’s atmosphere made his skin crawl. If it weren’t for the need to get firsthand information, he would never have set foot in a place like this.

Just the sight of the waitress—so overweight her eyes were squeezed into thin lines, and who had just furtively scratched her armpit when she thought no one was looking—was enough to make him want to throw up.

Let alone eating the food here.

"I’m not eating!"

"I know. I didn’t order any for you."

Just then, the beef burgers arrived. The man slapped the waitress, Annie, on the butt with a wide grin, earning a playful scolding in response.

The man then picked up a beef burger nearly the size of his face and began to devour it in huge bites.

Hot grease spurted out with every bite, making Tian Zhongshan, who sat opposite him, want to gag.

Having been accustomed to a life of luxury since birth, he had never witnessed such disgusting table manners.

But the man ate with gusto, swallowing the enormous burger in just a few bites.

He then took a large gulp of his drink, let out a satisfied belch, and flashed a wide grin at Tian Zhongshan.

"Young Master Tian, you’re here about Wu Liangchen, aren’t you?"

Tian Zhongshan wasn’t the least bit surprised that the man had guessed his purpose so easily.

After all, for an information broker like him, staying on top of the latest news was paramount. The Wu Liangchen incident was a sensation, so it was only natural that he knew about it.

"Yes." Tian Zhongshan didn’t waste any time, sliding an Alliance card across the table.

"I want to know his whereabouts. I want to meet him."

The man didn’t take the card. Instead, he just looked at Tian Zhongshan and laughed.

"Young Master Tian, do you have any idea how many people in all of Qing City are looking for him right now? What makes you so sure I can find him?"

Tian Zhongshan didn’t hide anything. "Of course. Because you’re not just an information broker; you also have close ties to black-market arms dealers. And from what I know, Wu Liangchen used some serious, high-powered weaponry for this operation."

"But you should know, Young Master Tian, those dealers are very strict about their rules. They’d never just give up client information," the man said, his words muffled as he stuffed his face with the beef burger.

Tian Zhongshan’s brow twitched. He then said, "I’ll add a high-quality Martial Vein. It’s our company’s latest R&D product. You can’t find this quality on the open market."

"Deal!" The man shot out a greasy hand, snatched the card off the table, stuffed it into his pocket, and then said to Tian Zhongshan.

"You’ll hear from me by tomorrow morning at the latest."

"The sooner, the better." With that, Tian Zhongshan stood up, left the fast-food joint, and got into a luxury car waiting at the corner.

Inside, the man watched the luxury car speed away before burying his face in his food once more.

All ten beef burgers vanished down his gullet in the blink of an eye. After chugging the last of his Coke, the man stood up, fully satisfied. He flirted a bit with the waitress, Annie, before paying his bill and leaving.

Once outside, he hopped on a beat-up old motorcycle and quickly disappeared into the heavy flow of traffic.

「The villa.」

A news report was playing on the television, showing a surveillance photo of Wu Liangchen as an anchor spoke in a self-righteous tone.

"A major incident has occurred in downtown Qing City. The suspect, Wu Liangchen, brazenly deployed heavy weaponry, destroying a bar and killing several people. This is an act of contempt against the millions of citizens of Qing City and a blatant challenge to public order. We urge every citizen to be vigilant. If you have any information on this man’s whereabouts, please contact the police immediately. A substantial reward will be given for verified information..."

CLICK.

With a blank expression, Wu Liangchen turned off the TV.

He knew perfectly well that this was the Sun family using the media to incite a manhunt.

But he didn’t care.

Just then, Song Ling’Er emerged from the basement, her face beaded with sweat.

Ever since they returned, she had spent nearly all her time in the basement firing range, honing her marksmanship.

Thanks to this nearly obsessive practice, Song Ling’Er’s shooting had indeed improved significantly.

While she was no sharpshooter, she could now consistently hit the target at close range.

"Go take a shower and get some rest. We’re turning in early tonight," Wu Liangchen said.

He could see what was on her mind. He knew the girl was trying her best to be able to help him.

But overdoing it was counterproductive, especially with something like shooting. Sometimes, too much practice could backfire.

"Okay!" Song Ling’Er always followed Wu Liangchen’s instructions without question.

But she was a little surprised when she saw him put on a face mask.

"Are you going out?"

"Yeah, I’m going out to buy more ammunition."

Song Ling’Er’s frantic practicing over the past few days had used up a lot of ammo, and they needed to restock quickly.

"Be careful out there!" Song Ling’Er said, her voice laced with worry.

She’d seen the news. She knew there were a lot of people out there hunting for any trace of him, so of course she was worried.

"Don’t worry."

With that, Wu Liangchen turned and left the villa.

He didn’t take a car. With a single leap, he vanished into the vast darkness of the night.

Meanwhile, in a coffee shop, the man who had met Tian Zhongshan earlier that day sat at the bar, chatting with the owner.

"So that’s the situation. I need Wu Liangchen’s whereabouts. I’ll give you half my cut when it’s done."

To his surprise, the owner just shook his head. "Old Han, it’s not that I don’t want to help. I honestly don’t know where he is either."

"How is that possible? Weren’t you the one who sold him those guns?" Han Yuan asked, stunned.

"I sold them to him, yes, but he found this place on his own. To this day, I still don’t know who referred him," the owner said.

Han Yuan frowned. He hadn’t expected this complication.

’Does that mean this deal is going to fall through?’

But he quickly thought of something. "Don’t you put micro-trackers on all your guns? Can’t you just check his exact location?"

The owner’s expression soured, clearly displeased that Han Yuan had brought it up.

"Useless. The guy’s a pro. He must have removed all the trackers the second he walked out. I can’t track him."

Han Yuan was deeply disappointed.

But just as he was racking his brain, the coffee shop door was suddenly pushed open, and someone walked in.

Hearing the noise, Han Yuan instinctively turned to look. When he saw the face under the hood—the very same one that had been plastered all over the city for the past two days, the face that so many people were "dreaming" of finding—he froze.
