Chapter 394: Chapter 292: Human Self-Propelled Artillery

Iron Rakshasa was terrified and shouted, "Quick—"

Before he could finish, an arrow streaked through the air and shot directly into a cannon port on the side of the hull.

BOOM!

The massive flagship shuddered violently, and many of the crew were thrown to the deck.

But this was only the beginning.

A flurry of whistling sounds filled the air as volley after volley of arrows rained down on the fleet at incredible speed, triggering a series of violent explosions.

The explosive arrows alone weren’t powerful enough to do this; the key was that Wu Liangchen was specifically aiming for the cannon ports.

Some pirate ships were blown up by Wu Liangchen’s arrows before they even had time to re-aim their cannons.

This near-miraculous feat left Annabelle stunned.

Even in her most optimistic estimations, she had thought defeating this pirate fleet would be an extremely difficult task.

But now, it was as if all their problems were melting away.

Wu Liangchen was like a walking human cannon, completely overwhelming the pirate fleet and pinning them down.

Just then, following several violent explosions, a pirate ship began to slowly capsize.

Pirates on the ship tumbled into the water one after another, SPLASHING and shouting loudly as they fell.

For a moment, the entire stretch of sea was filled with the sound of explosions, desperate cries, and the CRACKING of splintering ships.

Annabelle watched the figure standing tall on the bow, ceaselessly drawing his bow and loosing arrows, and felt her whole body flush with heat.

But just then, Wu Liangchen’s fluid motion of nocking an arrow faltered, and his storm-like assault suddenly ceased.

Annabelle’s heart skipped a beat.

’Oh no, he’s out of arrows!’

At the same time, the battered Iron Rakshasa, who had been on the receiving end of the bombardment, first froze, then shouted in ecstatic surprise, "He’s out of arrows! Fire on him!"

On the other side, Blood Rose didn’t hesitate, immediately ordering her ships that could still move to turn their cannons on Wu Liangchen and open fire.

At this moment, her mind was completely clear of any distracting thoughts.

After all, the power Wu Liangchen had just displayed was simply too terrifying.

So terrifying that the slightest misstep could have cost her everything.

In a situation like this, she naturally became exceptionally clear-headed.

After all, she was lustful, not stupid.

But as the numerous cannons took aim, Wu Liangchen remained completely unfazed. He casually set down his longbow, then leaped from the bow of his ship, heading straight for the enemy flagship.

Seeing this, Iron Rakshasa’s eyes nearly popped out of his head.

The Qinggong and Body Technique Wu Liangchen displayed was simply beyond his comprehension.

’Treating the sea as solid ground, leaping through the air as if flying... is that something a human can actually do?’

’Damn it, I’ve been tricked!’

Iron Rakshasa wasn’t an idiot; he immediately realized that back in the town of Black Stone Reef, this young man had been deliberately feigning weakness.

He was far, far stronger than he had imagined.

At this thought, Iron Rakshasa was filled with immense regret.

’If I’d known this would happen, I never would have gotten myself into this mess.’

But now, it was too late for regrets.

He gritted his teeth and ordered the cabin doors sealed. At the same time, he commanded his trusted subordinates to arm themselves with firearms and mount a tight defense, while he himself snuck into the sturdy captain’s cabin, trying to turn the ship around and flee the battlefield.

But before he could even touch the helm to turn the ship, screams and pleas for mercy echoed from the deck outside.

Iron Rakshasa shuddered and peered outside through a thick observation port.

He saw the deck littered with corpses, but there was no sign of Wu Liangchen.

’Could he have left?’

The thought had barely flashed through his mind when a fist suddenly appeared before the observation port and came crashing down.

With a loud CRUNCH, the foot-thick observation port was smashed to pieces. Fortunately, Iron Rakshasa reacted quickly and dodged, avoiding injury from the flying shards.

The observation port was specially made; it was only the size of an apple, far too small for an adult’s arm to fit through.

And the surrounding cabin walls, cast from steel plates over a foot thick, were strong enough to withstand...

Iron Rakshasa’s relief was cut short. Just then, with another loud BOOM, the wall he had considered indestructible was suddenly covered in a spiderweb of cracks, a clear fist imprint at their center.

"This..." Iron Rakshasa was dumbfounded, unable to speak.

At the same time, a third thunderous boom rang out, and the entire wall completely collapsed.

There was no dust, for the wall was cast from iron.

The sea breeze rushed in. Iron Rakshasa, his face deathly pale, watched Wu Liangchen walk in slowly from outside and said with great difficulty.

"Can you spare me? I’m willing to give you all my accumulated wealth, and I swear I will never oppose the Bell Clan again."

He didn’t try to fight back. The immense gap in their power made any struggle laughable.

His only hope for survival rested on the other man’s mercy.

But Wu Liangchen gave him no such chance.

A pirate’s promise was as unreliable as the weather at sea.

He couldn’t even be bothered to speak. He simply raised his fist and brought it down.

Seeing this, Iron Rakshasa became frantic.

He roared, "You’re pushing things too far! AAAAAAH—"

He shrieked hysterically to build his courage, raising his hands with all his might in a desperate attempt to block.

But it was as laughably futile as a praying mantis trying to stop a chariot.

With a wet SPLAT, the wall behind Iron Rakshasa was splattered with blood and gore, mixed with fragments of organs and bone.

Iron Rakshasa stared blankly at Wu Liangchen, as if he couldn’t believe a single punch could possess such ferocious power.

Then the light in his eyes faded, and his body collapsed to the ground like a boneless sack.

After killing Iron Rakshasa with a single punch, Wu Liangchen quickly searched the body, then walked out of the cabin and looked toward the distant flagship that was frantically trying to escape.

A flag bearing the image of a rose hung from the flagship, swaying conspicuously in the wind.

Seeing this, Wu Liangchen’s face was expressionless. He glanced around, then reached down and ripped a plank from the deck. With that, he launched himself into the air, chasing after the rapidly fleeing flagship.

Blood Rose Mara was currently focused entirely on steering the ship. The steam engine had long since been engaged and was running at full power.

Although this meant the entire engine would require a major overhaul later, it was a trivial price to pay compared to the immediate crisis.

’Faster, faster!’

Mara screamed frantically in her mind, wishing she could sprout wings and fly away from this patch of sea.

After all, she had witnessed everything that just happened.

If she wasn’t mistaken, Iron Rakshasa was surely dead.

To save her own skin, Mara had resolutely abandoned her allies and her own crew, all for a slim chance at survival.

Just then, Wu Liangchen, who was sprinting across the sea’s surface, suddenly hurled the plank forward. He then leaped up, lightly tapped the plank in mid-air, and used the momentum to shoot forward like an arrow from a bow, landing on the flagship.
