Chapter 2014: Part 2: Puppet formation

Outer area

I grabbed the wizard before he could do anything. Next, I put him inside the system space. Then I turned towards the Zero puppet.

"Interrogate him," I said to the Zero puppet.

Then I placed the Zero puppet inside the system space as well. After doing that, I turned around and returned to the group.

I saw Otto, Patrick, Hank, and old man Rock waiting for me. Upon seeing me, they quieted down.

I nodded to them before observing the formations again. The others thought that Master might ask old man Rock about the escaped wizard.

But nothing like that happened.

I took the device out and sent the recorded footage to her. Then I made a call to Manager Lara. I hoped that she would pick up the call.

A few minutes later,

The call was connected. Manager Lara answered the call.

"Vincent, where are you?"

"I just saw the video," Lara said from the other side of the call.

"I’m currently standing at the spot," I replied.

"I’ll connect to Lord Charlotte," Manager Lara said before trying to set up a conference call.

To my surprise, Lord Charlotte answered the call.

"Vincent, what did you find this time?" Charlotte said.

Hearing that, I was surprised. I didn’t expect her to answer the call. Then I began to explain the wizard corpse formation to her.

Charlotte listened to him.

A few minutes later,

"Send the location details. I’ll send a few Wizards to that place. Don’t try to leave the place until they arrive," Lord Charlotte said.

Hearing that, I said, "Okay."

After ending the call, I conveyed the message to the others. Otto, Patrick, Hank, and old man Rock understood the message.

Then I brought all four of them inside the Mansion. I didn’t want others to see them. Next, I removed the mask and appeared outside.

Now, I’m using the identity of Vincent Carey. If the members from the Silver Faction come, they should see me.

Meanwhile,

Wizard Alaric realized that he was captured. He stopped using the magic spell and tried to get up.

His body returned to normal. Just as he thought everything was fine,

Next, he was knocked out by the Zero puppet.

One hour later,

Wizards from the Silver Tower arrived at the place. They were from the White Silver faction.

There were six of them. Three of them were Supreme Wizards and the other three were Magic Lords. There were males and females among them.

They looked toward Vincent Carey in a new light. They had heard about him. He had already given some evidence to them.

Next, they looked toward the puppet formation on the ground. They began to do their work.

The wizards who had come here were powerful wizards. Their magic was unique. They began to collect the information.

One of the Magic Lords turned to Vincent Carey. He appeared before him and said, "We will be carrying out a secret task. So outsiders cannot see it."

Hearing that, I looked toward him. I understood that he didn’t want me to witness their magic.

Swoosh!

Then I left the place so as not to disturb their work here. I moved through the mid-air at fast speed.

Not long after covering a few miles, I landed on top of a tree branch. Then I appeared inside the system space.

I saw the Zero puppet and the Wizard on the ground.

"Is he the one?" I asked myself.

"Yes, master. He is the puppet wizard," the Zero puppet said. The puppet had already returned to its original form.

Hearing that, I began to observe the Wizard. I used the system probe function to collect more details.

The status panel appeared in front of my eyes. I began to go through his information. When my gaze fell on the magic spell category,

My eyes flashed with surprise. Now, I understood why the wizard had appeared like a wooden log earlier. This magic absolutely ensures survivability.

Even old man Rock had failed to find the person earlier. Then I closed the status panel.

"You keep an eye on him. If he wakes up, then start your interrogation," I said to the Zero puppet.

"Yes, master," the Zero puppet replied.

Then I took the raven aircraft and appeared outside.

Next, I brought the members outside one by one.

Otto, Patrick, Hank, and old man Rock looked around. They were back.

Otto said, "Master, what happened?"

Hearing that, everyone turned toward me.

"Support has come from the Silver Tower. They are going to take care of the puppet formation. But they don’t want their magic to be viewed by others. So they asked me to leave," I said to them.

Hearing that, they were surprised. They didn’t expect the wizards from the Silver Tower to act like this.

Then I told them to enter the aircraft. One by one, they entered the cabin. Next, I entered the cockpit and began to operate the aircraft.

Buzz!

The next second, the aircraft activated. It began to fly through the air. I set the coordinates to the next big city. Then I put the aircraft on autopilot mode.

When the aircraft began to move smoothly through the air, I leaned back in relaxation.

Meanwhile,

Lord Charlotte was back in the Silver Tower. She watched the video footage sent by Manager Lara earlier.

At this point in time, the Silver Tower had gathered important information related to the unknown enemy force.

Their White Silver Faction played an important role due to Vincent Carey and a few other members. Even some from the neutral faction had collected information as well.

Now that she had seen the footage, she was sure that it was related to the hostile faction.

She didn’t share the information with Vincent Carey because she wanted to collect the evidence first, as the elders would demand it.

The elders would make a decision after verifying the truth.

So she didn’t tell the truth. But she didn’t know that Vincent was hiding information too. He had long since uncovered more details.

Time passed.

The six wizards dismantled the formation and dispelled the dark mana. They collected the wizard corpses for evidence.

After erasing all other traces, they left the place and made the return journey to the Silver Tower.
