Chapter 1855: Part 1: What Comes Next?

Chapter 1855: Part 1: What Comes Next?

Crystal City Shop

When Elder Blake and the officials left, I went to see the members. I came across Old Man Rock. He was standing in front of the door waiting for me.

“You are late. I didn’t expect that person to attack all of a sudden,” Old Man Rock said.

“He will face the consequences. He won’t leave the city unscathed,” I assured the old man.

The old man nodded his head. Then we walked into the room. I saw Hank, Patrick, and Otto on the beds.

They were being treated by Ethan, Rebecca’s father. My eyes flashed with a glint.

“They are unconscious right now. Their internal organs are injured. I used healing magic on them, but it might take one or two days for them to recover.”

“If you want a faster solution, you can invite a Magic Lord with advanced healing magic,” the old man suggested.

“Thank you for your help, Mr. Ethan,” I replied.

The old man nodded his head before leaving. I signaled Old Man Rock with my eyes to see him off. Old Man Rock then left the room.

When he was gone, my gaze fell on the members. I used the system probe function to understand their health.

The system showed the results: they were recovering. There were no critical injuries. I sighed in relief. I didn’t disturb them.

I looked at them one last time before walking out of the room. Not only were they injured, but my business had been disturbed as well. My eyes turned icy cold.

Magic Lord Clint had caused this much damage. How could I let him go? I didn’t want to attack him, but the situation was forcing my hand.

Maybe it had been their plan all along. I went to my room and released the Zero Puppet. The Zero Puppet stood in front of me.

“Spy on Magic Lord Clint. If he leaves the city, inform me,” I commanded the puppet.

“Yes, Master,” Zero Puppet replied before transforming into dark red smoke.

It disappeared through the gaps in the window, vanishing from my sight. I calmed my racing thoughts. Then, I shifted my attention to the magic mask. I took it out; it was pure white in color.

I hadn’t used the probe function in front of Manager Lara because she hadn’t revealed the grade of the white mask. Now, I used the system function.

[Ding! Unknown grade facial mask detected.]

The system voice sounded in my mind. I was stunned. I had thought it would have a specific grade, but the system said it was unknown.

“What does that mean?” I asked myself.

Then, I asked the system whether Forbidden Wizards or Magic Lords could see through the mask.

[Ding! This is an outer space item. It is of an unknown grade. Even Elders cannot see through it.]

The system’s answer stunned me. For a second, I thought I had heard wrong. Then I heard the same thing again. A storm set off in my heart.

I had thought they would give me a high-grade artifact, something to protect my privacy against Magic Lords and Forbidden Wizards.

That was all I wanted in this time of crisis. I didn’t expect to get a treasure of an unknown grade. It showed that many such treasures might be stored in the Mage Union’s Treasury.

After collecting my thoughts, I put away the white mask. Then I left the room and went to the gallery.

Seeing the condition of the gallery, I knew urgent repairs were needed. The walls needed to be rebuilt first. The collections were scattered all over the ground.

The next second, the system reminded me that people were coming toward the shop.

“The shop is closed. Who is coming here?” I muttered to myself.

Swoosh!

“Wait!”

“Don’t come in here!”

“The shop is closed right now!”

Old Man Rock shouted at them, but the people ignored him and walked directly into the shop. I saw some familiar faces.

People from the Wizard Associations and Wizard Families had arrived. They saw me and rushed toward me.

“Wizard Vincent!”

“Are you alright?”

“I heard your shop was attacked!”

The people who had come started asking questions. At the same time, they looked at the gallery.

The collections were scattered on the ground and the walls were smashed. It was clear the shop had indeed been attacked.

Gasp!

They exclaimed in surprise. They looked into each other’s eyes and started gossiping. Hearing them talk immediately infuriated me.

These people weren’t here to check on me; they were here to see the damage.

“Everyone,” I uttered in a cold tone.

The next second, I released a bit of coercion. It carried the attribute of gravitational force.

Everyone felt terror, a powerful pressure weighing down on them. It was no ordinary pressure; it was the power of gravity.

Boom!

The floor cracked instantly. Everyone fell to their knees, forced to kneel. There were Level-9 and Level-10 Wizards among them, yet everyone felt the power of gravity pinning them down.

Even the Supreme Wizards were kneeling on the ground. They looked toward Vincent Carey with terror. Their faces were horrified.

Old Man Rock saw this scene and was shocked to the core. He didn’t expect Master Vincent to be this powerful. He was taken aback. Then he realised something.

“Master, they are hurting,” he said a moment later.

Hearing that, I canceled the pressure.

Gasp!

The weight vanished instantly. Everyone slumped down, gasping for breath. My eyes remained cold.

“You are not welcome here. The shop is closed, yet you dared to step in without permission,” I said angrily.

Hearing that, the wizards shuddered. They realized they had disrespected Wizard Vincent. It was their fault from the beginning. Even the Supreme Wizards felt they had lost face.

They had forgotten the identity of the person in front of them. He was not only an official member of the Silver Tower but also a member of the White Silver Faction.

The wizards who knew about the White Silver Faction were even more terrified.
