Chapter 1752 1752: Going back to the magic city
From MC Perspective
I quickly arrived at the location of old man Rock and the flying salamander. Rock felt the presence of someone nearby. He suddenly opened his eyes and saw that I had come.
“Master,” Rock said.
“Let’s leave this place,” I told him. Rock sensed the urgency in my tone.
The flying salamander woke up as well. We sat on the salamander’s back.
Swoosh!
It rose from the ground. It hovered in mid-air before flying towards our destination.
While moving through the sky, I used the power of the system to scan the area. Seeing that no one was following us, I sighed in relief. I doubted the Forbidden Wizard Remi would use the space layer to reach me.
A few hours later, we landed at a safe spot surrounded by a series of rocky mountains. The sky salamander and old man Rock both took the opportunity to rest.
Seeing them resting, I went inside the Gregor Mansion and brought the unconscious Manager Lara outside.
This time, Rock and the salamander sensed one more person. When they saw the woman was handcuffed, they were shocked to the core.
“Master, what’s going on?” Rock asked.
“I went to Dust City to rescue this person,” I replied.
“Rock, can you break these handcuffs? I heard they were quite strong.”
“Master, leave this to me. I will break them,” Rock said calmly.
He appeared next to the woman. Just as he was about to break the metal, he saw through her strength and his heart shook.
He didn’t expect the woman to be a Magic Lord. However, as a Physique-type Magic Lord himself, the magic handcuffs were like small toys to him. He quickly broke them one after another.
Creak!
I sighed in relief. I was glad I had subdued him earlier. Once Manager Lara’s handcuffs were broken, Rock nodded and turned toward me. “Master, this woman is a Magic Lord.”
“Yes, she is. I’ll explain more later. Right now, I’m going to take you somewhere.” I beckoned the salamander to my side.
Swoosh!
I brought the three of them inside the Gregor Mansion and introduced them to the others. I told the other members to explain the situation to them.
Old man Rock was now the fifth member of the team, and the salamander was the sixth, though the monster’s status wasn’t official yet.
Once I grew stronger, I would place the same crimson curse on its mana core.
Afterward, I brought Manager Lara back outside and tried to wake her, but there was no response. I decided to take out the Raven Aircraft.
Swoosh!
I carried her inside the cabin and sat down. I started the engines and the aircraft slowly rose. Once it reached a safe distance, I engaged stealth mode.
The aircraft’s visual signature disappeared instantly. I set the destination to autopilot and we began our journey.
Not long after, she felt the vibration and regained consciousness. She opened her eyes and saw me. Disbelief flashed in her gaze as she recalled being locked in a prison cell. She realized I had saved her.
“Manager Lara, you are free now,” I said.
“Vincent? How did you save me? That person was—”
“We can discuss it after we get back to the organization,” I interrupted. Lara nodded, though she was still internally stunned.
Several hours later, we left the Dark Territory and were on our way toward Magic City.
“Vincent, are you sure you don’t want to talk about that person?” she asked.
She was still in a state of shock because she had discovered I was now a Supreme Wizard. I was no longer a Level-9 Wizard. To her, this news was more shocking than her own kidnapping.
I smiled. “I know who the person was. But I don’t have the strength to confront them directly right now.”
Manager Lara sighed. She was amazed by his growth rate. If he became a Magic Lord in a few years, she wouldn’t even be surprised but becoming a Forbidden Wizard was another matter.
It usually took decades; she herself had been stuck for years. She was curious about what I had experienced to gain such strength so quickly.
I saw through her thoughts. “Manager Lara, I know you’re curious about my breakthrough. I had a fortuitous encounter; that’s why I was able to become a Supreme Wizard.”
Lara was taken aback, but she believed me. She knew I was a Sub-Taboo Wizard, and without a great opportunity, progress on the wizard path is incredibly difficult.
“Vincent, if possible, try to hide your strength,” she warned. “Your breakthrough may not be received well by others in the Silver Tower.”
My eyes flickered with understanding. I knew the Silver Tower had internal factions that opposed Wizards like Erwin and Charlotte. They certainly wouldn’t be happy with my current strength.
“Don’t worry, Manager Lara. I will be careful,” I said. This time, I wasn’t going to run away. I would face the challenges head-on.
Manager Lara nodded her head.
Time went by,
The Raven Aircraft continued to fly towards the Magic City. They didn’t face any obstacles. But the traffic of the region becomes high.
There are all kinds of vehicles moving in the air. The raven aircraft was moving under stealth mode.
On the other hand, Lara was trying to establish contact with the Forbidden Wizard Charlotte and Erwin.
But unfortunately, she failed to do that.
At the same time, I saw her trying to contact the Forbidden Wizard Charlotte and Erwin again.
A hint of seriousness appeared in my eyes.
“Manager Lara, are you hiding something from me?” I asked her.
Lara shakes her head and says,”It’s nothing new. Since you have become Supreme Wizard. You might receive missions from the Mage Union. Then you will understand.”
Hearing that my heart rose with the expectations. I never went inside the Mage Union before. I wonder what kind of place it is.
Lara didn’t say further. She wanted the two lords to come back. It’s best if they explain things to Vincent Carey.
