Gravity Mage with Level-Up System

Chapter 1739: Dangers!

Chapter 1739: Dangers!

From MC Perspective

The old man didn’t hide anything. He started drawing the trade route based on his memory. Not only that, but he also marked important towns and dangerous places located in between.

Seeing that, I nodded. It was not a waste to exchange the life-extending magic fruit for this. Manager Lara’s situation is important.

I am not weak like before. If the people from the hostile magic towers are here, I will use this opportunity to eliminate them.

The old man was honest; he did his best. If this map were to be priced, it would be expensive. However, it was nowhere near the value of the life-extending fruit.

The old man took ten minutes to complete it. Then, he double-checked the route before giving it to me.

“Young man, I don’t know your purpose, but be careful. Dust City has people from outside the Dark Territory,” the old man gave a friendly warning.

I accepted the map and stored it inside my bracelet. Then, I gave him the life-extending fruit. It was red in color with green dots all over the surface.

It was collected from the spoils in my system space. The old man accepted the fruit with trembling hands.

“You know the rules, right? I don’t want anyone to know about this transaction including your boss. I hope there is no problem with the route.”

“If I find anything wrong with it, I’ll come back with my force,” I warned the old man.

“Don’t worry, I have included the latest updates as well. There is nothing wrong with the details. I wish you a safe journey,” the old man said before storing the magic fruit

Ten minutes later,

I walked out of the city and rejoined the group. The Flying Salamander and the wandering wizards were waiting for my arrival. Upon seeing me, they became obedient.

Swoosh!

The next second, I landed on the head of the monster. I ordered the others to get on as well.

They landed on the monster’s back one by one. None of them said anything; they knew their lives were in the hands of a Supreme Wizard now.

Seeing that everyone was ready, I told the monster to rise. The beast rose from the ground and started flying through the sky. I took the scroll out and unfolded it, studying the map from the current border city to Dust City.

The special route marked by the old man included difficult terrain and dangerous areas, but I was sure he wasn’t lying. The system didn’t find any fault in him. Looking at the route, I started giving orders to the monster.

I knew that even with Supreme Wizard level strength, it would take at least a day to reach Dust City.

If I could use the power of space layers, I could reach the destination faster. However, usually, only Magic Lords and above can use space layers without harming their bodies.

I didn’t know if anyone else could access space layers with Supreme Wizard strength, but unlike other wizards, I have a Forbidden Inheritance.

I have already digested some of that power. Maybe I could use the space layers with its help.

I liked the idea, but it needed further investigation. A hint of yearning appeared in my eyes.

The wandering wizards stayed quiet. None of them had rebellious thoughts, but it didn’t take long for them to realize they were traveling through an unknown area.

They had never heard of anyone using a path in this direction. When they looked down, they saw the land was covered in uneven rocks. Massive stones protruded from the ground.

Gasp!

The wandering wizards gasped in surprise. No one could travel this path on foot; sharp, huge rocks covered the ground.

Unless they had a flying transport, this path was impassable. I saw their confusion, but I wasn’t ready to clear their doubts. It is best if no one knows about this special route.

Dust City

Manager Lara was locked in a cell, but no one dared to trouble her. The guards knew their boss had ordered them to watch her, not to anger her. Lara is a Magic Lord; she can tell what is going on.

The Forbidden Wizard didn’t dare kill her yet. He was wary of her life-saving items, so he thought it better to use her to lure out the target.

Her eyes flashed with worry. She knew Vincent Carey would try to come here as soon as possible. Last time they spoke, she knew Vincent was in a remote area.

She assumed it would take days or weeks for him to arrive. Until then, she had to survive. Since Remi took her device, she couldn’t contact Vincent again.

Meanwhile, Forbidden Wizard Remi remained in his room. He stayed in Dust City, waiting. He believed that brat, Vincent, was not in their territory yet. He assumed Vincent was currently rushing his way here.

Remi’s eyes flickered. He knew the main powerhouses, the elders were busy with Mage Union missions.

He doubted any elder-level wizards were present in the Silver Tower right now. The Mage Union keeps them busy; they rarely get free days.

Remi was quite confident in his plan. When he thought of Forbidden Wizards Charlotte and Erwin, he sneered.

He had already disposed of Lara’s digital device after traveling through multiple cities to throw off the trail. No one could pinpoint Dust City right away.

All he had to do was wait for the prey to fall into his trap. He can’t wait for that day.

He then ordered his men to keep an eye on the Manager Lara. He doens’t want her to do anything.

If she wanted she could try to escape from the cell. But she was saying silent as well. Remi thinks that she was waiting for the Forbidden Wizard Erwin and Charlotte to come for her reacue.

“Snort!”

He gave a cold snort. Then he collected his thoughts before contacting his friends. They were ordered to investigate the incident in the remote region.
